Summary: A virgin eating demon threatens Sunnydale. I wonder who will be in danger…
“So, uhm, well, I guess at least we are out of danger.” Giles coughed and blushed lightly at the rather awkward topic and went for his squealing teakettle.
“What do you mean, you’re a virgin?”, a shriek voice called out.
The redheads face changed its colour from her normally pale complexion to a deep red, which didn’t stand too much in contrast to her hair, while Giles spilled the hot water of the teakettle over his hand, letting out a brief gasp of pain.
“Anya!! There was a reason I whispered!”
“Why? I mean, sure, it’s strange, considered your age, I mean your body is made for it. You can link that body to a man’s and it will perfectly fit and it’s fun, you know? I don’t see why to wait, when you could die tomorrow, especially here on the hellmouth. I for my share, wished Xander and I could do it more often, not that he couldn’t, but mostly he insists on going to work instead of calling in sick in order to go on with...”
“An! We talked about this!!”
“Okay, okay! Back to the topic. So Willow, even if I don’t understand why you didn’t do it yet, it’s important that we all know, because you could be eaten up!”
This was all too much for the young wicca. She raised from the round table at the magic box and hurried into the adjacent training room.
“Wow” Buffy sighed, “That was, well, unexpected. Nevertheless, we have to concentrate on this virgin-eating demon. Giles, you say it only kills at night? And in the last three days, three innocent girls disappeared. That means, we have to kill it tonight, or another girl will be dead in the morning.”
Giles stood up.
“I’ll go and talk to Willow, I think it’s best, if we have Spike to look after her tonight while we’re out on demon hunt.”
“Okay, I’ll go and get him, sun will set soon anyway.”
“Willow? May I come in?”, he asked as he already closed the door behind him. He found her sitting on the couch, knees up to her chest, with a frustrated and sad look on her face. When she didn’t respond, he sat beside her, putting a hand on her shoulder in an encouraging way.
“It’s okay Willow, you don’t have to be scared. We are all going on the hunt tonight to kill this thing and Spike will look after you. “
Willow sighed. She didn’t know how to say, what she wanted to say. Or even if she wanted to say it at all. She took all her brave together, as she thought ‘now or never!’
“Giles,” he was startled as her shy eyes met his for the first time since he entered the training room.
“I’m not scared. I have total trust in Buffy and you guys. You will kill it, I know that. It’s just.. oh, never mind, it’s--it’s just too embarrassing.”
Willow sighed and laid her head on her knees.
He fastened his grip on her shoulder.
“It’s okay, you can tell me anything.”
He didn’t know where these words came from, well, in fact he did know, but he’d thought, he had managed to suppress and hide those feelings a long time ago, indeed ever since Willow entered the library back in the old high school. But it seemed to work. Willow turned back to him and with a deep breath she continued.
“I’m just so embarrassed that you all know now. You weren’t supposed to know, especially not you.”
At the last part of the sentence she turned her eyes away from him towards the floor. Giles looked at her in confuse, but thought she wasn’t finished yet, so he waited and let her explain. And without turning her eyes away from the floor, she did.
“A long time ago I fell in love with someone and I made a promise to my self, that I would wait for him, but then time passed and I realized that this love was onesided and it probably always would be. So I started to open up to someone else. Oz was the first boy showing interest in me and I really liked him, so I decided I should go on with my life, since the man I loved would never return those feelings. But I knew I could never love Oz and that’s why I kept on waiting and I think that’s part of the reason he finally left. I know this sounds stupid.”
Again she rested her head on her knees. Giles was confused, thoughts running through his head. ‘She said ‘the man I loved’ and she wanted especially me not to know. Could it be? Could this beautiful girl really talk about him? After all this time he forbid himself the same feelings towards her?’
He coughed nervously. ‘Be strong Rupert, you have to know.’
“Willow, could I? uhm, I mean, d-do you want to tell me who that man is?”
She looked up to Giles, surprising him with tears in her eyes.
“Do I really have to?”
“No.” Giles had a hard time to avoid tears coming up in his eyes as well.
He took his hand to her cheek and cupped it, smiling gently as Willow leaned into the touch. His free hand took Willows other cheek while his head slowly leaned towards her. She starred at him with wide opened eyes, while his face came nearer and nearer. When their lips first touched, it was electrifying and intense but nothing in comparison to, when Willow opened her mouth for Giles’ questioning tongue. It was a slow, shy kiss but the effect on both of them was amazing. It felt like the whole world disappeared around them. When breathing became an issue they let go, looking at each other with a mix of confusion, fear and hope. There was a moment of silence. Both feared to destroy, whatever it was, what just happened. Finally Willow broke it.
“I love you, Giles. I did for so long but I never…” She was stopped by Giles lips, who pressed against hers, no longer shy, much more demanding then the first time. Willow, first surprised by the sudden initiative of the man she loved responded likewise on the intense struggle of tongues. After some time, they parted with heavy breaths.
“Does that mean, you…,uhm..” Willow became silent. She still feared a rejection.
“Oh, Lord of course, Willow. When you first walked into my library I knew you where an extraordinary girl, but back then you were a student and I just couldn’t allow myself those feelings. But with every day, with every fight we stood side by side, I saw what an even more amazing woman you became and my love to you grew even bigger with the time.”
Willow threw herself in his arms and they just held each other close, until Buffy came in, to tell them that Spike was there and that they should go for the demon. She didn’t realize that the tight hug between her best friend and her watcher meant more than friendship, and both were glad, they hadn’t to explain it, not yet.
“I’ll be right with you, Buffy. Just a minute.”
“Okay, I’ll go and crap the weapons with the others. And Willow, don’t worry, everything will be alright.” With Willows smile on her, Buffy left the room. Still smiling she turned to Giles and put a light kiss on his lips.
“Yeah, from now on everything will be alright.”
They just looked each other deep in the eyes for a moment until Buffys’ shouting pulled them out of their thoughts. Giles stood up.
“Well, I guess I should go. You stay here with Spike until we come back. I hope it won’t take the whole night. Oh, I wished I could stay here with you.”
Taking his hand she now stood beside him leaning on him for a last hug.
“Me too, but I’ve waited so long, I think I can handle one more night.”
Giles blushed lightly. “I d-didn’t mean.”
“I know.” A mischievous smile playing on her lips.
He kissed her on the forehead and turned towards the door.
“Be careful, Giles! I love you.”
“I love you too.” And with a last look at her, he walked out.
When the main room of the magic shop silenced, she headed towards it to look what Spike was doing and of course to thank him. She was sure, he had probably other things in mind, then to spend the night baby-sitting a virgin, who ran the risk of being eaten up by a demon.
Willow found Spike sitting at the table, his head resting on his hands.
“Hey Spike, I wanted to thank you for, you know, looking after me tonight. Did Buffy tell you everything?”
Silently Willow hoped Buffy hadn’t told Spike everything, she still was pretty embarrassed because of the whole virgin thing. On the other hand, she thought, the others knew it as well, what difference would Spike make?
“Yeah, she told me. I forced her to, because if it wouldn’t have been important, I wouldn’t have come. I’m a bit out of sorts today, my head you know? But it’s no big. And by the way, I was pretty surprised of you never.., you know?”
For the first time he looked up to Willow and distracted her with a strange smile. She blushed and decided to just ignore it, moving behind the counter and read some spell book Giles recommended her. Every now and then she looked over to Spike, whose headache seemed to get worse. But she wouldn’t say anything, still a bit confused about the strange look Spike gave her earlier.
“Oh, Giles! We haven’t even a clue where to start!” Buffy sighed frustrated. For about two hours they patrolled the parks and some of the many cemeteries of Sunnydale but no demon in sight, not even a vampire to warm up. Just then a bush near them rustled and all of them got in fighting position.
“Easy, easy. We’re on the same side, aren’t we?” With a big smile Riley hugged Buffy and they kissed briefly. Everyone took their weapons down, a bit released that there was no danger, but way more frustrated that they had to go on searching.
“There we have our reason, why we don’t even get to see some demony things.” Buffy boxed Riley lightly in the shoulder.
“So you’re on demon hunt? Something special?”, Riley coated his shoulder trying not to grimace and with that, to express, that his tiny girlfriend could physically hurt him. He still wasn’t over it, that Buffy hit his highscore in killing thrice as many vampires as he did in one night.
“Nah, nothing special, just the ordinary, you know?” Buffy didn’t want Riley to hang on to them. They agreed, they shouldn’t patrol together anymore, for the sake of their relationship.
“What about you? Some big order from Professor Walsh?”
“In fact yeah. You remember hostel 17?” By the mentioning of Spike, Giles became clairaudient.
“At the time when the chip was implanted, hostel 17 wasn’t the only one. Professor Walsh also tried it on a Grischnack demon.” Riley continued.
“Yeah, I know these demons, they have quite a similar structure to vampires, rather seldom in this part of the world.”
Giles had to force himself not to say anything deprecatingly about Maggie Walsh. ‘She probably had this Grischnack imported for some experiment, while we have trouble hunting the demons out of Sunnydale’ he thought.
“So, what was it about Sp-.., I mean hostel 17?”
“Oh, yeah, at first the Grischnack reacted how expected to the chip. He couldn’t harm any human beings. But this morning he went all crazy in his cell, hitting his head against the wall, and when the scientists got in to give him the anaesthetics, he killed two of them without any headache. Finally we got him sedated and Professor Walsh removed the chip and found out there was something wrong with it. It had changed it’s signals, which made the demon even more aggressive then normally. And we have to believe that the same thing is happening to hostel 17, since he got the chip the same day.”
“Willow!” Buffy glared at Giles, who did the same with a terrified expression. Just in this moment something hit Buffy on the head. She spun around to face a demon almost twice as big as herself. Anya, Xander and Riley lay motionless on the ground but their chests moved steadily up and down.
‘It must have knocked them out at once in the moment I looked to Giles’ she thought.
After a roundhouse kick which made the demon stumble a few steps backwards she screamed to Giles.
“Hurry!! Get to Willow! I handle him and come after you!”
From the corner of his eye he could see the demon hit Buffy heavily in the stomach, but he knew she could handle it, Willow needed him more right now. His legs were already burning and the thought that he would probably need half an hour to the magic box made him panic. He remembered the cell phone in his jacket and shaking, because still running, he dialled the number of the magic box.
“Spike, you’re sure you don’t want some water? I’m sorry we haven’t any blood here, because there is no fridge but maybe water would help, you don’t look to good, you know?” The ringing of the phone interrupted her and she went for it.
“Hello?”
“Giles! Hold on, I don’t understand, why should I hide? What’s with Spike?”
”No, he’s…, wait, he was just sitting..” When she turned around she looked in Spikes vampire face only a few inches away. His yellow eyes gazing at her with hunger and lust.
“Willow!?” A fearful scream and a crack, when Willow dropped the phone to the floor was the last thing he heard. He tried to increase his speed desperately and panicing with the fear he wouldn’t get there in time. They just found each other.
She tried to shut the door of the training room behind her, but Spike was just too strong. With a big bang he pushed it open, heavily against Willows cheek. And then there was only black.
With a great headache she tried to open her eyes but seeing the bright light from the ceiling of the training room made it more painful. She wanted to put her hand before them, when she realised she was tied up, with her hands over her head.
“What the…” Then it came back to her.
“Oh, you’re awake. Good, it’s no fun without you screaming, you know?”
Spikes headache was completely gone by now. All he could think about was the virgin lying in front of him and he remembered only too well what he did with those innocent girls back then with Dru.
As soon as he finished his sentence, the demon in him showed on his face and before Willow realized what was happening, she felt him on her neck. Not yet biting but inhaling the sweet scent of her and licking over her aorta, while his hand pushed the hem of her skirt up.
“No, please don’t, Spike.” Her voice was more a shaky whisper, when the tears began running down her cheeks.
“Oh, yeah babe, beg me for it.” And with that he pulled her white panties violently down her legs, so that they were hanging in frezzles around her ankles.
“I wished we had more time to enjoy this, but I guess the British pillock is already on his way here.”
His hand slid up her leg finding her hot mound. She shrugged heavily, not only because of his big cold rings on his fingers. No one had ever touched her there and she wanted Giles to be the first, to be the only one. She whimpered, her tears running down her cheeks like water. She stiffened when he entered the first two fingers, giving her no time to stretch he pushed more and more of his hand inside her. With every thrust of his hand she gave a painful moan, feeling her sensitive flesh cut and scraped by the sharp brinks of his rings. The pain was unbearable and she wished she would just pass out again, but she didn’t. The only thing in her head, except the pain, was the thought, that if Giles wouldn’t make it soon, she wouldn’t survive this.
After one last big thrust he pulled out, licking the mix of moisture and blood off his hand with pleasure.
“I think we should focus on that virgin-issue, don’t you?”
Her sight was blurred from the tears and the bright light right above her, but when she heard him unzip his pants she paniced and pulled desperately on her ties. She couldn’t let him do that. All the waiting for Giles couldn’t have been for nothing. Not now. Not when she finally found out, that he wanted her the same way she wanted him.
But it was fruitless, she already felt his cold weight above her, his hard erection pressing against her burning and with pain pulsating entrance. With a ruthless and heavy thrust he pushed inside her. Squeezing her eyes and biting her lip, she tried to avoid a painful moan. She’d recognized, that when she showed her pain, it encouraged him and made it more painful. His thrusts sped up and with her eyes closed and tears silently running over her face she prayed that it would be over soon. Then she heard Spike groan loudly thrusting inside her with an uncontrolled rhythm. When his teeth burrowed into her neck, her eyes shot wide open.
‘That was it’ she thought. She would die the worst death she could ever imagine on the day she finally found her love.
The last thing she heard, when the world around her turned dark, was someone calling her name, and then, for the second time this day everything was black.
Giles nearly stumbled when he rushed in reaching out a wooden cross towards Spike, who backed off with a snarl but decided it was better to clear out, considering the slayer would be close on the watchers heels.
Giles’ entrails tightened, when he looked at the picture in front of him. Willow, lying unconscious and tied up on one of the training mats, two bite marks on her neck, with a thin runlet of blood pouring down, her face covered with almost tried tears and her skirt pushed up, exposing her blood daubed inner thighs. He rushed to her side, trying to catch her pulse. There it was, lightly, but still. Uncontrollably shaking he dialled 911 on his cell phone, while his other hand pushed his handkerchief on Willows neck to prevent her body from loosing more blood. When he finished the emergency call, he freed her arms from the ties and laid his head on her chest in silent sobs.
“Please don’t leave me. I love you Willow, you can’t go now.”
With a skilful swing Buffy finally beheaded the demon, who melted into something, which reminded her of the jello her mother made for desert last weekend. When she turned around she found Riley slowly getting up, holding his head in pain. The others still lay unconscious on the grass.
“Riley! You’re okay? Can you look after the others? I have to go find Willow and Giles, they’re in danger!”
“Yeah, yeah sure.” He didn’t really understand, his head still knocking. All he could assimilate was ‘Look after the others! Buffy has to go!’ and for now that was enough, anyway Buffy was already nearly out of his sight.
Finally at the magic box, her body shivered at the sight in front of her. The street was enlightened by the lights of the ambulance and Giles was just about to climb into the vehicle. Buffy could see his hands covered with blood.
“Giles!” She ran to his side, finally seeing Willow, lying on the barrow, her lower body covered with a white blanket, and a thick bandage on her neck.
“Oh God.” She had to swallow hard, not to burst out into tears. “Is she going to be alright?”
“I hope so.” Giles who completely was beside himself hugged Buffy tightly until they were interrupted by the paramedic.
“We have to get going, your friend here needs blood immediately! You’re coming?”
“Yeah, sure.” Giles climbed in and sat next to Willow grabbing her hand. “Buffy, you have to find Spike! I only managed to chase him away!” Before the doors were closed he heard her say in a strong-willed tone “I will.”
Buffy ran the same way back she came, hoping the others would be alright by now. She needed Riley to get Spike back into the Initiative. She found them staying in a circle, Anya leaning on to Xander, but they seemed to be okay.
Xander seeing Buffy first. “Buffy! We were just about to get to the magic box. Is everything allright, Willow?” He already knew, that nothing was alright when he saw the look in Buffys’ eyes, a look full of pain and even more fury.
“Spike harmed her pretty badly, but Giles got there just in time. He is with her at the hospital right now. But Spike could escape. We have to find him and bring him to the Initiative so Professor Walsh can fix this.” Looking at Riley, she noticed his angry gaze on her.
“Riley? What is it?”
“Xander just told me what you should have told me. You were hiding this demon all the time, although you knew we were searching for him.” He breathed deeply to calm down, before continuing. “But now we have to concentrate on finding him. We will talk about you keeping such secrets from me later.”
Xander gave Buffy a concerned look. “What if you can’t sedate him? I mean, he won’t just come with us to a funny brain surgery, voluntarily.”
“Then I’ll kill him.”
No further words needed, they moved towards Spikes crypt, only to find it empty. They decided to stick together and search around the crowded places. Back on the road his hunger for blood surely wasn’t stilled by Willow.
The monotone beeping of the cardiogram, slowly brought her out of the deep sleep. Feeling her hand hold in another warm, big one and looking at the peacefully sleeping man beside her gave her a second of peace, but then she realized she was in a hospital and that’s when it came back to her and with the memories, the itchy pain in her nether regions. Her heartbeat increased, thoughts rushing through her head, she felt as if she was going to be sick. But one thought emerged. She couldn’t look Giles in the eyes. Not now, not like this. Carefully not to wake him up, she pulled her hand from beneath his. Seeing that there was very little left in the blood transfusion, she pulled out the needle of her lower arm. She had to get out of there, but seeing her clothes she had worn, before they had dressed her in that hospital nightgown, made her feel sick again. She just grabbed Giles’ long coat and sneaked out on the street. Sun was beginning to rise, so she wouldn’t have to fear any attacks. She was so confused. At first she wanted to go to her dorm, but then she decided against it. Maybe she would run into someone she knew and she couldn’t bear that. There was a certainty in her head that everyone could tell what happened, just by looking at her. Lost in her still diffuse thoughts she found herself in front of the magic box. The door was still unlocked and she moved directly towards the training room. Seeing the massive door, she instinctively touched her cheek and grimaced at the pain. Her heart beat heavily in her chest reliving the events of the former night. She saw the small blot of blood on the training mat and paniced.
“Where is your daughter, sir?” A concerned voice awakened Giles.
“W-what? Who?” Then he remembered. He had to tell the nurse, that Willow was his daughter, so he was allowed to spend the night by her side.
“Oh, I- I don’t know. I guess I fell asleep. Oh, god, we have to find her!”
“Please, calm down. She isn’t in any life-threatening condition anymore. She got enough blood from the transfusion. But you better go and find her. She needs more rest.”
With a polite nod he left the hospital room and noticed, that his coat was missing. So, Willow wasn’t in the hospital anymore.
He didn’t know why, but he just knew, where he would find her.
Entering the magic box he felt his heart twinch, when he saw her. Drenched in tears, she desperately tried to scrub her own blood off the training mat. She didn’t even seem to hear him enter.
“Willow?” With a soft sound in his voice he came nearer. But still, Willow determinedly kept on scrubbing, her body shaking in silent sobs. Giles knelt beside her, and slowly laying his hand on hers, to stop her from the desperate try to wash away the tried blood. Finally she showed a reaction to his presence; not one he’d expected. She jumped away from him shouting out shakily, but loudly. “Don’t do that! You don’t want that!”
Still, she couldn’t find the courage to look him in the eyes.
Giles, completely startled by her reaction tried to calm her, by getting nearer but not too near.
“Willow, honey? What do you mean? What don’t I want?”
He tried to catch her eyes but they focused on a point on the floor.
“You don’t want to touch me.”
A shudder went through his body, by the coldness of her voice.
“Why wouldn’t I want to touch you? I love you, honey.”
By this declaration her sobs went heavier and tears dropped on the floor. She only managed a whisper between the heartbreaking sobs.
“You can’t want to touch me. And you can’t want to love me. I’m dirty, Giles. You can’t want that.”
“Oh god, Wilow you’re not dirty. Something horrible has…”
“I feel so dirty Giles.” She interrupted him.
It nearly killed him to see his love suffer that much. He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her on his lap. At first she struggled, sobbing loudly and boxing her fists against his chest, but eventually burying her fingers in the fabric of his shirt drenching it with her tears. They sat there for a long while. Willows sobs had silenced in the time and she just held on to Giles tightly.
Eventually he cleared his throat and broke the silence. “Willow, I should bring you back to the hospital. The nurse said, you’d need more rest.” Her finally calmed body tensed up in his arms again and for the first time she looked into his eyes. Hers, all red from crying .
”No, Giles. I can’t go there. All those people. I-, I can’t have them look at me, when they all know…”
She rested her head back on his chest.
“But..”
“Take me home with you, please. I need you.” She interrupted him again.
He hesitated, but just couldn’t let her down.
“I-..I’ll call a cab.” He gently put Willow beside him and headed towards the phone. She came up with a tiny relieved smile. All the crying had worn her out, so she fell asleep on Giles’ shoulder during the short drive. He paid the driver and carried her silently into his apartment, upstairs and laid her gently on his bed. Himself, he sat on the armchair beside the bed; not wanting to pressure her with his physical closeness. Rather worn out himself, he fell asleep quite fast.
“Hm? W-What?”
He rubbed his eyes, when quiet, desperate moans awakened him. He realized, that the moans came from his bed. Willow must have a nightmare. He sat beside her on the bed, gently resting a hand on her shoulder. She automaticly winced at the touch.
“Sshh, it’s okay Willow. It’s me.”
“Giles?” Her terrified eyes met his.
“I’m here, love.”
“Stay with me?” She held up the blanket on Giles side, who took the invitation and crawled underneath it next to Willow. Resting her head on Giles’ chest she let his comforting heartbeat lead her back to sleep. Around noon Giles was awakened by the phone. He hurried to it, wondering but glad that Willow didn’t wake up.
“Giles! You scared me to death! Is Willow with you? We were at the hospital and they said you were gone.”
“Buffy, please calm down. Everything is okay. Willow is with me. She sleeps right now. She needs some rest. Buffy, there’s something I have to tell you about what happened.” He ordered his thoughts, thinking about how to say it.
“What is it Giles?”
“Spike…, he didn’t just drink of Willow. He- he raped her.”
“Oh god. I’m so sorry”
“Don’t be. I’m the one to blame. It was me, who said, we should have Spike to look after her.”
“No Giles. None of us could have anticipated that. You think I should come and check on her?”
“No, I think it’s best, if we let her rest some more. So, tell me. You managed to get Spike into the Initiative?”
“We searched until now. When the sun rose, we changed into the sewers, but no Spike.”
“Keep on searching, we can’t let him walk around.”
“I will, I’m just at my mums to tell her to be more careful and to change.”
“Well, good. Call me if there’s anything new.
“Okay, bye.” And with that he hung up.
“Don’t blame yourself, Giles.”
He frightened and spun around, finding Willow on the lowest step.
“What?”
“It wasn’t your fault Giles. You just wanted me to be safe. You couldn’t have known.”
He nodded, but in his head he blamed himself.
“How are you?”
“Resting with you helped me calm down a little.” She gave him a forced smile.
“What about, you know..?” he didn’t know how to put the words, without embarrassing her. “Are you in any pain?”
She blushed, at the thought on which body part he referred to and avoided his gaze. And yes, the pain was still quite uncomfortable but Giles didn’t have to know, she thought.
“I’m okay.” She thought of something to change the subject, when she recognized the hungry emptiness in her stomach.
“Maybe we could eat something? And I think, I would like to take a shower, if that’s alright?”
The whole incident made her feel terribly uncertain around Giles and he recognized that too; but decided not to bring it up. He would just try to make her feel as comfortable as possible.
“Sure. I’ll prepare something while you take a shower. I get you something to wear. I suppose I still have those track pants, which came way too small, when I ordered them.”
He hurried up the stairs, coming back a minute later, with the pants and a simple white T-shirt in his hands.
After her shower, she felt a bit better. It was the first time after Spike did that to her, that she could wash herself. She was sure, that probably some nurse already did, since there was no blood on her thighs or vagina. She shuddered at the thought that someone saw and touched her there again while she was unconscious, even if it was the nurses’ job.
They didn’t talk much while eating, in fact, the whole day. But there was no awkward silence. Giles understood, Willow couldn’t talk about any details, not yet and that just being there, holding her in his arms made her feel better. But he’d agreed that she could stay at his place for the next time, when she’d asked him with a shy voice.
Around six o’clock the telephone rang again. Giles went for it, hoping Buffy had some good news.
“Hello?”
“Hi Giles. Riley just called me. We split up this noon. He had his team with him on the search and they got him. Probably replacing the chip right now.”
“That’s good.” He couldn’t help but wishing they would just stake him, but he couldn’t allow his emotions to get the upper hand. He had to see the big picture. It was Angel who brought them the prophecy, which referred to the vampire, who killed two slayers, but eventually fighting on the good side, without having a soul and finally saving the world.
“So, how is Willow doing? Is there anything I can do?”
“She’s a bit better. And in fact, there’s something you could do. Could you pack some clothes of her and bring them here? It’s fine, when you do it tomorrow. You should get some rest yourself after everything.”
“Why does she need clothes at your place? Isn’t she coming back to the dorm?”
“Uhm, we.., she said she wanted to stay here for a while. She feels safe here.” Giles didn’t want to explain the new and tragically rather complicated relationship between him and Willow.
“Well, okay. I think that’s better anyway. I would have to leave her alone every night while I’m patrolling and I think, for the next time, she needs someone around. I’ll drop by tomorrow after class. I’ll also excuse her at college.”
“Fine. See you tomorrow, then.”
“Bye.”
He turned to Willow, who looked at him with fear in her eyes.
“Was it Buffy?”
”Yes. She told me that Spike…”
”Don’t! I don’t wanna know! Just tell me, if I’m still in danger.” She just couldn’t hear the name of her tormentor.
“You’re in no more danger. From now on I’ll do everything in my power to keep you safe.” He wrapped his arms around her and held her tightly.
“You already do.”
Putting a gentle kiss on her hair, he thought, that they would weather through it and made a vow to himself, that he would do anything to help her through this.
It was awkward, when Buffy and Xander came the next day to bring her the clothes and to check on her. Willow knew, they just wanted to help, but she was glad, when they understood, she needed some alone time right now, even if her friends looked a bit confused, that this alone time had to be with Giles.
The following days, Giles spent at home together with Willow, since Anya was quite cheerful to have the magic box under her control.
At first, Giles was uncertain how to act around Willow; how much closeness would be too much, but his worries were for nothing. The structure of the days developed naturally. They ate together, they studied some spell books, in order to distract her and they slept arm in arm. Her body healed in the time, getting back its strength and the physical pain was gone after a few days. But still, something deep inside her, somewhere between her heart and her stomach felt awful and she knew that it would need more than time, to get rid of that.
Seven days had passed since the worse night of her life and she felt, she needed something, only Giles could give her. She was terribly nervous when she decided to share her thoughts with him.
They just finished cleaning the dishes after dinner.
“Giles?” Her voice was more whispery, then she’d intended.
“Yes, love?”
“I need to talk to you about something, but I don’t know how to say it.”
He took her hand and sat them both on the couch.
“Willow, you can tell me everything, I told you this before.”
Not able to look at him she took a deep breath. “I wanted to thank you for being there for me and I really feel better, at least my body does. But there is something inside me that still feels..” she thought a moment about how she could explain it best before she continued. “Something in me feels so used, you know? Like a thing, that’s just been used and thrown away. I-..I need you to make me feel like a woman, Giles…I think I need you to make love to me.”
At the last sentence she met his gaze.
Giles looked at her paralyzed, not noticing his mouth stood open a bit. He blinked his confusion away and cleared his throat.
“Are you sure? I mean, it’s not so long since… uhm, since that terrible thing happened to you. Maybe you need more time, Willow. Please don’t force yourself.”
“Giles, I’m not forcing myself. I just know, that this would help me. You would never hurt me. I trust you…And I need you.” Giles found a bit of desperation on her face. Sure, he wanted to make love to her. That’s what he’d dreamed about the last years. But he still wasn’t sure, if it was the right time. He feared, that it could traumatize Willow even more. But a rejection probably would be even worse. Gently smiling, he leaned towards her, placing a soft kiss on her lips. He stood up, still holding her hand in his and together, they climbed the stairs to the bedroom with no more words.
Willow knew, she wanted this, but now, being actually about to do it made her nervous as hell. Feeling her shaking in his hand, he pulled her into a hug and kissed her on the forehead.
“It’s okay, love. We’ll stop whenever you want to. Just try to relax and let me take care for you.”
With that he guided her towards the bed and gently laid her on her back and himself beside her. He leaned his head on his hand and smiled gently to the woman beside him. All Willow could manage to respond with, was a nervous chuckle. He leaned down and kissed her, wandering his tongue about her lips until she opened them. His hand explored her body, leaving out the delicate parts. When he realized, that Willow relaxed into the kiss, he casually touched the sides of her breasts, always paying attention, how she reacted to it. Since it seemed to be okay for her, he risked cupping her breast with his hand, gently rubbing her nipple with his thumb through the fabric of her blouse. When she moaned into his mouth he leaned back, looking in much less nervous eyes.
“You think you’re ready to put this out?” He pointed at her blouse.
“You first.” Willow grinned at him.
Silently chuckling he sat up and pulled the shirt over his head. Looking back at Willow, he saw, she already opened half the buttons of her blouse.
“Let me help you with that.”
She let him open the rest and help her out of it, leaving her firm breasts only covered by a white cotton bra. She shuddered, when Giles hands touched her naked skin.
“Should I stop?”
“What? Oh, this? No, it-it was a nice shudder.”
His hand continued to explore the smooth skin, finally resting on the front clasp of her bra. He looked at her, searching for her agreement. She nodded with a smile playing on her lips.
Feeling the naked skin of her breasts in his hand made him moan. He kissed his way down, form her mouth, down her neck and finally replacing his hand by his tongue, gently sucking on the hard, aroused nipple. Now, Willow was the one who moaned in pleasure. Encouraged by her obvious enjoyment, he let his hand wander lower. Arriving at her waistband his hand was stopped by Willows’.
‘Oh, no I’ve gone too far. Now I’ve frightened her off.’
He looked up to her, expecting an angry face, but only finding a shy smile.
“Me first?” He smiled back, when she nodded slightly.
He stood up, in front of the bed and slowly removing his pants, giving Willow a surprise, by not wearing any underwear and giving her full sight of his proud erection.
He blushed a little. “Well, I didn’t expect this and today is washday and…” He stopped at her chuckling, lying back beside her. He was relieved that, her nervousness seemed to be nearly gone by now and there was no awkwardness in being naked.
For the first time Willow was the proactive one, when she grabbed his neck and pulled him in a more demanding kiss. The last time they kissed this way, was the day when she finally admitted her love for him and the day Spike… No. She didn’t want to think about it. This was about her and Giles only.
Still absorbed in the kiss, his hands found their way back to Willows’ waistband; this time not held back, he opened her pants. When he broke the kiss, she knew what he was waiting for and lifted her hips, allowing him to remove her pants together with her undies. A bit of her lost nervousness showed back on her face, together with a blush. Giles noticed and kissed her lightly on the lips.
“You look beautiful, love.”
She smiled and held her breath, when she felt his hand moving up her inner thigh. She forced herself to stay calm, but when she felt his fingers, stroking over her pubic hair she winced up, away from his hand.
“I’m sorry, Giles. It--It’s just, that Spike...Before he did it with me. He hurt me with his hand there.”
Giles stomach tightened, when he thought about, how much she must have suffered.
“I’m sorry, honey. I didn’t know. So, no hands there, for now.”
Willow smiled relieved, because of his understanding. Placing another kiss on her lips, he moved his mouth down, along her neck, over her smooth breasts, teasing each nipple shortly, causing Willow to gasp, then further down over her flat stomach and finally arriving at her hot mound. He lowered himself between her legs, cupping one breast with his hand and rolling the nipple gently between two fingers, while his tongue found its way to her opening, tasting her sweet wetness.
“Oh, god, Giles!” She buried one hand in his hair, the other grabbed the sheet tightly.
When his tongue found its way to her clit, gently sucking, it didn’t take long until she stiffened and screamed out his name in pleasure. He crawled up next to her and smiled in her flushed face. Between heavy breaths she managed to say something.
“That…was…amazing.”
He chuckled and kissed her, letting her taste her own scent.
“Giles? I--I want you.” She guided his gaze with hers to his erection.
“You’re sure?”
When she nodded, he turned to his nightstand grabbing out a condom. He ripped it open and was about to put it on, when Willow laid her hand on it. He looked at her in confuse. Did she have second thoughts?
“Could I?” She asked shyly.
Relieved, he handed her the condom and laid back in anticipation. His breath caught, when Willow slowly rolled the condom over his cock, stroking him lightly. She laid back and invited him by spreading her legs.
Nestling between them, he kissed her slowly, guiding the tip of his erection to her entrance.
“You’re ready?
“Yeah.” She grabbed his hand, pushing it firmly when he thrust slowly inside her. Completely invaded, he stood still, giving her time to adjust to his presence.
“You’re alright, love?”
“Yeah, feels good.”
Feeling her muscles relax, he started to move inside her; at first it was a slow steady rhythm but with the time he increased his speed, causing Willow to moan loudly. He caught her lips and pulled her into a passionate kiss. The heat developed in Willows stomach, spread down inside her toes and back up, before exploding in her crotch. Her moans became louder, but where mostly swallowed by Giles’ mouth. When her orgasm hit her, her inner muscles squeezed Giles’ length rhythmically, taking him with her over the edge.
Getting his breath back, he stayed shortly inside her, but not wanting to crush her, he rolled beside her and got rid of the condom.
Still holding one of Willows hand, he laid on his side and looked into her satisfied expression. He wrapped one arm around her and rested his head on her shoulder, kissing it softly.
“Giles?”
“Hm?”
“You were the first one, who made love to me.”
He smiled against her shoulder.
“It was my honour.”
She snuggled closer to his chest and both drifted into a deep, peaceful sleep.
THE END
Pairing: Giles/Willow
Rating: NC-17, warning: contains scenes of rape
