HOLIDAY SEASON
THE HOLIDAY SEASON

****THIS STORY IS ALL MINE BUT CHARACTERS BELONG TO JOSS WHEDON****
SUMMARY: IT'S THE HOLIDAY SEASON AND BUFFY AND SPIKE HAVE JUST ANNOUNCED THEIR RELATIONSHIP TO THE SCOOBIES AND DAWN AND GILES. GILES IS COMING AROUND AND SO ARE THE SCOOBIES SLOWLY BUT ARE GOING WITH IT FOR NOW. DAWN IS SO HAPPY THAT THEIR TOGETHER. SO FOR THIS HOLIDAY BUFFY AND SPIKE ARE THROWING THEIR OWN FIRST THANKSGIVING AND TREE TRIMMING PARTY AT THE SUMMERS HOME.
chapter 1
Thanksgiving morning was a rush the two women in the kitchen was cooking casseroles of green beans and sweet potatoes. Dawn yelled at Buffy in the process of ignoring the amount of marshmellows going atop of the caremeled sweet potatoes.
Spike slept in the basement that night so he could rise early enough for the festative evening ahead. Since he and Buffy was a couple he rarely lived at the crypt anymore by staying with his love.
The scoobies would be arriving around 1 or 2 pm bringing the pies and cakes. Giles was bringing a bottle of wine and some japenese tea that was Buffy's favorite from the Japenese Restaurant from across the Magic Box.
The night before had been such a treat for Spike he had never been one for the holidays til now. He and Buffy had picked out their first X-mas tree which was a 7 foot tall blue spruce. Spike paid alittle more for the tree than expected but for his love he would give any price. She fell in to love with the bluish green needles being it was said to be the tallest and unique of all the tree's at Henderson's X-mas Tree Lot.
On the way home they stopped at various stores buying up all the modern glass and pocelain ornaments along with white lights that money between the couple could buy.
Dawn had went to the mall with some of her friends from school to buy garland and Thanksgiving and Christmas decorations and candy corn for a cookie recipe she was going to make.
As they all agreed to meet back at the house by 9 pm they all three was exhausted by shopping and getting everything unloaded. Spike was so wired about the next day it was his and Buffy first real holiday season.
chapter 2
By 1:30 pm the scoobies had arrived only to be followed by Giles with the bottle of red wine and rice wine. Clem had arrived just minutes after 2 to bring Spike some blood by the butcher's shop. Since he had began drinking blood from their monthes after the chip was placed in his head.
Everyone was there and Spike arose from the rustling upstairs. With a smile on his face he quickly dressed in his trademark black jeans and black tee and red button down over it. His boots were on in a flash as he grabbed his duster carring it up the stairs.
All the windows were safely hooded by heavy linen cloth arranged by Buffy getting the idea off of a home decorating show on tv. It was of red and green all over the house and by the mantle hung garland of hollies and a huge pilgram basket full of indian corn decorated the mantle. Over the mantle hung a huge christmas wreath of holly and berries. The room was in the beginning of looking like the holiday's.
Spike walked into the kitchen just in time to help Buffy remove the 15 lb turkey from the oven. It was a glorious golden brown and from the smell of it it was going to be glorious tasting too.
The rolls were about done as Buffy had Dawn began to set the table in green tablecloth and red plates and crystal and silverware. It was looking to be the beginning of a wonderful Thanksgiving.
As the couple ain't and fed each other Buffy could hardly believe her luck everyone she loved was surroundering them. Anya and Xander fed each other picking up cues Spike began to follow Xander in feding Buffy a bite of food from his place. The chatting was mostly over christmas upcoming and the still to come tree trimming party.
chapter 3
After the Thanksgiving dinner they all got the decorations out to begin the tree trimming party ready which would begin after dusk. Spike and Xander and Giles and Clem hung the lights as soon as dusk came and went outside. Then meanwhile inside the girls was making egg nog and getting ready for the tree trimming party.
As the guys returned they gathered the girls outside to see if the lights came on which they did. Buffy grabbed Spike and kissed him directly in front of the others and they were at a loss at words but inwardly was rejoicing seeing Buffy so happy.
The rest of the night was filled with wonderful times for all. They danced to christmas music Dawn had bought and Anya was so busy planning her and Xanders wedding with Xander and Giles helping to hang ornaments on the tree as Buffy hung the star atop and Spike holding his love up. the night was filled with love, peace and joy for all.
