He threw an uppercut next, catching his chin. As his head snapped back William grabbed him by the back of the head and slammed the guy’s face into his knee. His opponent slumped to the ground, blood dripping from his nose and mouth.

He turned predatory eyes on the next guy in the room and smiled. “Well…I didn’t even work up a sweat…let’s see if you’re any better…”

“Come on man…I don’t want to fight you…”

“Sure you do…cause if you don’t…everyone’s gonna think you’re a pansy…running out on a fight after your friend” William sneered in the other guys direction “Got his ass so thoroughly kicked.” The grin was back; he bounced on the balls of his feet.

The guy came at him and William cold cocked him. One shot and he was on the ground.

William smiled to himself and picked him up. He threw him over his shoulder and carried him out to the living room where the party was still in full swing.

He dropped him on the floor and went back for the second guy. When William dropped him on the floor beside his buddy he realized all in in the room were on him. “That’s what happens if you mess with Cicely.” He growled before turning and stalking out of the room.

He made his way back to the bedroom and shut the door behind himself. Sitting on the floor by the door he leaned back and tried to get some sleep.

William got to his feet and turned to the door. “Goodbye Cicely.” He said softly as he made his way out of the room. She was so busy wiping her tears and thinking about what she was going to tell people that she didn’t even hear him.
