Preparing for a fight
Xander thought of any way he could escape but he knew that there was no way out. Frantic he looked with his eyes around the chamber, he tried to look anywhere but
at the couch Spike and Angel where currently sitting on.
"Xander. Xander look at us", Angel said in a calm tone, a calm he didn´t feel at
all at the moment.
As he heard Angel calling his name, Xander didn´t know what to do anymore.
On the one side he was really scarred to look at Angel and Spike or to talk to them because that would mean that he would aknowledge their presence and then he couldn´t ignore them any longer and everything that happened then would be real and he had to face it, but on the other side he did not want to find out what might happen if he didn´t do anything right now. It is always better to do something than to do nothing
at all. Attack is the best form of defence.
Because of that he sought again the whole room out for something he could weaponize
to defend himself with against the two master-vampires.
Xander knew that he was absolutely no match for Spike and Angel but with a weapon he had a small chance, even if it was a very very small chance of coming out of this disaster alive.
It was only a tiny bit of hope but it was better than nothing and he couldn´t give up. He just couldn´t. At least he had to try.
"Come on Xander, talk to us. I know that this whole meeting with us is probably a little bit surprising to you...," before Spike could finish his sentence he was interrupted.
"It is probably a little bit surprising to me.
It is probably a little bit surprising to me," Xander repeated angrily the second
time a bit louder.
" Are you fucking kidding me?", Xander screamed at the top of his lungs.
"Maybe I didn´t choose the right words but..", again Xander interrupted him
in mid-sentence.
"You are walking in on me out of nowhere, after I haven´t seen or heard of you for
god damn ten fucking years and act if nothing ever happened and now you are trying to tell me that it is probably a little bit surprising for me and that you maybe,
fucking maybe didn´t choose the right words. I really can´t believe this whole shit."
"Xander if you would us just let explain...", Angel tried saying, with no luck either.
"What, oh you mighty vampires, no wait mighty master-vampires, I know you place value on that title, what should I let you explain. It really doesn´t matter what you have to explain to me because it doesn´t change anything between us.
And now let me tell you something. I can imagine all too well why you are here and the only thing I can say to you both is that it won´t be as easy as the last time we met.
You two will have to fight a bit harder. I won´t be going down so fast this time.
I´m not so helpless and vulnerable like you remember me from our last encounter, where you tried to kill me." After telling this he took a deep breath before going on.
"Don´t you think it would be fair from you to give me some sort of weapon, I mean only something so that I would have at least the chance of defending myself," Xander spoke bluntly and hopefully while looking straight in the eyes of Angel and Spike, who were both speechless and only staring in pure shock at Xander because of what he just said.
"So your only answer is silence. I already presumed that you aren´t intertested in a fair fight. I guess the word fair is likely not even in your vocabular.
Come on, what are you waiting for. I mean everything that needed to be discussed is discussed. There is nothing left to say or do.
Let us begin with the fight, so that everythging between us can finally come
to an end!"
Xander only hoped that it would all come right in the end.
