The Lawyer

Buffy was back in her own apartment. She had to work today, in about three hours. She still couldn't believe what had happened last night, and then today. Lindsey was awesome. She really hoped that he would call her, but she didn't think that he would. Just then the phone rang. She jumps and says to herself. " Okay, now that is a little weird." She picks up the phone to hear Dawn. " Hey, kid, how is the witch treating you?" She could hear Dawn giggle. " She's doing okay with me. There was a specific reason I wanted to call you. You know other than to say hi." Buffy waited for her to finish, and when she didn't she said. " Dawn! well, what is it?" She heard her sister sigh. " It's Spike, Buffy. He's back. He called to say he was with Angel in L.A. he came back from the dead Buffy, just like you did." Buffy couldn't speak. Spike had come back? " Thanks, Dawn, I appreciate it." After she hung with Dawn she called her job and told her she couldn't come in, because she was sick. True lieing was bad, but she needed to think. How could Spike have come back, and not let her know? She tought that he'd loved her. Maybe he had been lying just like everyone else was lying to her. Okay, so noone else was lying to her, but it sure felt like it.

Later that day, when Buffy got home from work, she curled up on the couch and put on a sappy love story. Halfway through the movie, the phone rang. Buffy pushed pause on the movie and moved to answer the phone. " Hello?" When she heard that it was lindsey she was shocked, and it showed in her voice. " Lindsey? Oh! hi, how's it going?" He laughed. " You sound surprised to hear from me." She recovered quickly recovered. " Well, if you must know, I never thought that I'd hear from you again." He chuckled at that. " I was just wondering if we could do something tonight. Maybe I could pick up some videos, and we could watch them." She ran this over in her head. " Sure, that would be fun, did you want to come over here, or me come over there?" He thought about it. " You could come over here if you want." She sighed with relief, there was no reason for him to see her apartment. It wasn't much of anything to see. After she hung up with him, she quickly changed clothes, and grabbed her purse. She was estatic! Not only had he called her, but she was probably going to get lucky againg tonight. Well, she hoped so anyway, cause the man knew how to make a girl scream. When she arrived at his house, she stopped short of the door. What did she really know about this guy? She'd gotten to know Angel very well before they'd gotten to this point. Same with Riley, dated him awhile before they'd done the deed. Could you even call Spike a boyfriend? Just then Lindsey pulled the door open. " What are you doing standing out here for?" She smiled. " I was contemplating not coming in, you know, since I don't know you." He laughed at her. " It's alright, I gaurentee a good time." With that she laughed and walked in.
