Tears of the Soul

It really wasn´t an easy task but at the next night Angel and Spike
where finally able to smell their mates scent.
They travelled through the whole city to find him and now they were in a
part of the town with the highest crime rate.


They got into the building where the scent came from,
it looked like a cheap hotel.
Spike and Angel were both angry now and ran to the room
where the smell of Xander was the strongest,
but nothing in the world could have prepared them for what they saw there.


Xander was lying naked in the middle of a big bed between two other man.
The whole room smelled of smoke, alcohol and sex.
Spike and Angel just couldn´t believe it.

Their mate had cheated on them, he had betrayed them.

They then lost all control and reacted out of anger and without thinking.
Their demonic side took over, and they shifted into gameface.
They quickly killed the other two man who had dared to touch what was theirs and spilled their blood in the room.
They never had a chance to defend themselves.
They were too drunk and suprised to do anything about it.


Angel and Spike then tried to wake Xander, but he was dazed.
Nonetheless were Spike and Angel still in vampire-mode and furious,
so they began to beat the living hell out of Xander.

All the while Xander cried, screamed and begged for them to stopp
but they were having none of it.
Angel and Spike were like in a trance they just kept going and going
till Xander passed out and was half dead.


But still their rage just didn´t seem to calm down.
So they took a knife and sliced and cut through their claim marks
on Xander and tried to destroy them.
Only then they stopped and let Xanders body fall to the hard and bloody ground.


Then without even giving Xander a last glance they left and returned home,
without their mate.


If they had just stayed a moment longer and taken a closer look,
they would have noticed the bloody tears that were rolling down Xanders cheeks,
the Tears of Innocence.
