Chapter Sixteen
The next day, things were going considerably better. Angel had a meeting scheduled today with his son in about two hours. He still didn't know how he was going to look at him, and pretend this was only the second time he'd ever laid eyes on him. After that he was supposed to meet everyone in the confrence room for another meeting, and after what happened yesterday he wasn't looking foward to another one. In a few minutes he had a meeting with Lorne and Lindsey. Lindsey was supposed to sing for Lorne, to see where his intentions really were. When Buffy had showed up at his apartment last night, he'd been a little confused. Why hadn't she gone to see Spike instead? He'd find out the answer to that eventual
Buffy felt a lot better this morning than she had last night. After telling Angel about the Death Bringer, she'd came home to an eerily silent apartment. Dawn had filled her in on the fight between Willow and Kennedy. Buffy wasn't feeling any love at all towards Kennedy. Oz was her friend, and anyone who tried to hurt her friends ended up on her shit list. Dawn had stopped yammering about Andrew, only to start on Connor. It still bothered her that Angel had never told her about Connor. She'd bring it up eventually, when the time was right. It just wasn't yet. It was time to get up and get ready to go to work.
Willow had gotten up a lot earlier than Kennedy. She'd done this on purpose, as to avoid any talking. She was still very mad about what she'd said. She'd almost broken up with Kennedy right at that moment, but she'd held off. She wanted to talk about it with Buffy. Willow had snapped out of her funk pretty quickly when she'd seen Buffy come through the door. Her friend was scratched up, that it frightened her. She'd overheard Dawn telling Buffy about her arguement with Kennedy. It didn't really bother her, because they shouldn't even be fighting in front of Dawn. She still didn't know where the jealousy came from all of the sudden. She really wanted to talk to Buffy about this.

Wesley didn't know what had happened. When Fred had leaned over and kissed him, he thought he'd been dreaming. He'd been waiting a long time for Fred to start liking him, that it didn't seem real when she'd actually made a move. They'd made out for a really long time last night, but then they'd just talked. She had told him that she'd been waiting on him to make another move for what seemed like forever. He had told her that he'd stopped trying that last time she'd turned him away. He had an actual date with her this evening, and he was so excited. He was going to make it a night they'd never forget.
Gunn was lonely. He missed having someone to go out with. He didn't want to get back together with Fred, but he missed the conversations that they'd had. He was a bit nervous about the meeting they were going to have today. He just hoped that they weren't going to get anymore surprises like they had yesterday. He kept getting the feeling like something big was going to happen to him, but he just didn't know what. It wasn't one of the creepy feelings you got either. He had the distinct feeling it was going to be good, whenever it decided to happen. He just hoped he was ready for it.
Oz felt bad. He knew that his being here, and hanging with Willow had caused a rift between her and Kennedy. He knew that Kennedy was threatened by him, and he really couldn't blame her. She had every right to be jealous and wary of him, because he was going to do his damdest to win her back now. He'd known that he couldn't have come between Willow and Tara, but Tara was no longer here. He felt really bad about what had happened to Tara, but if Willow was willing to take him back, then so be it. Kennedy just wasn't strong to be with his Wil. He was going to get her back. He wasn't sure how he was going to do it, but he would. He was going to start today when they had lunch. It was going to great to have her back.
He couldn't wait until the meeting today. It was time for him to pay a little visit to Angel, Buffy, and the gang. It was time for him to have some fun. He'd been watching all of them over the last couple of days, and it was the perfect time. He couldn't tell them everything, but he could point them in the right direction. He hoped that Angel lived up to what he thought he could do. He knew he could do it, but did Angel know? It was time for Angel to get paid, and He wanted very much to reward him. They'd see, wouldn't they?
