Chapter Fifteen
Angel got home from Wolfram and Hart, and immediately went to take a shower. When he got done with that he sat down at his desk to go over things in his head. His son had walked right up to him today, and he'd had to look him right in the eye and act like he'd never seen him before. It was a lot harder than he thought it would be. He loved his son with all of his heart, well as much as he could. Sure he'd been upset when he'd put him in the bottom of the ocean, but then again who wouldn't be? That was a huge undestatement. He'd been broken up inside, when Connor had done that to him. He'd pretty much given up on the prophecy. For a long time, that was the only thing that had kept him going. It looked like now, it wasn't going to happen. Just then a soft, but urgent knock on his door caused him to come out of his thoughts.
Buffy really didn't want to go to Angel, but he had to know about this death bringer. This was the second time that this demon had totally kicked her ass. It was kind of scaring her, because it was bringing back memories of Glory. She'd actually had a dream last night that revolved around the day she'd jumped. After defeating the couple, Faith and Buffy had gone to the cemetary as planned, but they ran into the demon a lot quicker than they both expected. Buffy had lasted longer in the fight, but it was still very quick. When Angel opened the door to his apartment, she could see the concern cross on his face. " God, Buffy, are you okay? What the hell happened to you?" Buffy looked up at him, with a strained expression. She was pretty beat up. She had scratches all down her arms, where he'd thrown her into a bush. She had blood coming from her forehead, but she didn't know how bad it was. " We ran into your demon at the cemetary." With that he stepped aside, and allowed her to go inside.

Kennedy was stomping all over Buffy's apartment. Buffy was letting Willow, Dawn, and Kennedy stay with her while they in town. Oz and Andrew were staying with Spike, whereas Xander was staying with Wesley after refusing to stay with Spike. Kennedy was in the kitchen, glaring into the living room. Who the hell did Angel and Buffy think they were? She made one comment about what Oz used to be, and they both attack her. It wasn't her fault that she thought they were supposed to fight evil not coddle it! It had stung the most when Willow hadn't come to her defense. She was sitting on the couch talking to Oz right that second. After Willow hung up the phone, Kennedy marched in to confront her. " Why did he have to call you? You just saw him a little over an hour ago, and I'd like to know what was so important that you had to take that call right now." Willow gave her a strange look.
Willow didn't know what was wrong with Kennedy. She'd been giving her these evil looks ever since they'd gotten back from the meeting. She still couldn't believe what she'd said about Oz. She'd never though Kennedy would act like that, but then again, she didn't really know Kennedy as well as she knew some people. She knew Buffy, Xander, Dawn, and Oz very well. Don't forget Giles in that group. It was only natural, because they'd been friends since forever. They'd been through so much together, that she didn't know what she would do if she couldn't talk to them at least once a day. She'd only known Kennedy for a couple of months, so she sometimes didn't understand her moods. This whole jealousy thing about Oz was kind of weird. She didn't know why people thought that her being a lesbian was just a phase. Though, if she didn't have a girlfriend, and Oz asked her out, she'd probably say yes. Only to Oz though, because she had such a weak spot for him. " He was just asking me if I wanted to have lunch with him tomorrow, and I said yes. I wasn't on the phone with him maybe five minutes." Kennedy crossed her arms. " You just assumed that I would be okay with this? Why didn't you ask me to see if I was alright with it?" Willow tilted her head at her. " I didn't think you would have a problem with it, Ken, seeing how Oz and I are just friends." Kennedy sighed and stomped her foot. " You don't sleep with your friends, Willow!" This made Willow stand up to face her. " Does it look like I'm sleeping with Oz right now?"
Dawn was in Buffy's room, and she could still hear Kennedy and Willow. She was kind of worried about where Buffy was. She was also wondering why Andrew hadn't called her yet. She knew he was at Spike's, because Oz had just called Willow. She had been a little bit flustered today. The boy who had come into the confrence room had been totall hot, and then the totally hot guy had walked in afterwards. She'd thought that Buffy would have gone for the guy name Lindsey, but then Buffy had gone and hit him. She seriously hoped that Oz and Willow got back together. She'd really liked him, and he'd been very nice to her. He never really spoke much, but then again he never spoke much. Just then the phone rang, and Dawn did a dive for it. " Andrew? Oh, hi Buffy. You're on your way home? Okay, I'll go into the battlefield and tell Willow to watch for you. It's nothing, just Kennedy picking a fight with Willow over Oz. Okay, I'll see you later, bye!" After she hung up, she got up. She vowed that she was going to get Andrew for this.

Fred didn't know what Willow had done to her, but she didn't feel different. When she went outside, Wesley was waiting for her. As soon as she saw him, she had the urge to tell him that he looked very good in blue. She shook her head, because she was never outspoken like that. When they got outside, he helped her into his car. Giles wasn't in the car, though, so she was kind of nervous. " Wes, where's mister Giles?" Wes looked kind of sheepish at her. " He told me at the last minute, that he couldn't come over. I hope you don't mind, but if you do, I can just drop you off at home." She smiled at him. " No, it's fine, we really need to find where this ascension is going to be, and I really like that shirt on you." Did she just say that? Wes flashed her a big smile. " Oh, thank you."
Fred was acting a little strange, but then again that's one of the things that Wesley liked about her. She kept looking at him with this strange look in her eyes. He wished he could just spit it out. He wished he could just tell Fred how much he loved her, but he didn't want to freak her out. He still didn't know what was going on with her and Knox. He really didn't like Knox, there was just something about that rubbed him the wrong way. It wasn't just that he was hitting on Fred constantly, just something about him seemed off. Just then Fred reached over and mussed Wesley's hair. " Sorry, I've just wanted to do that for a long time." He smiled at her again. " Perfectly alright." When they stopped at a red light, Fred un-did her seat belt, leaned over , grabbed Wesley's head, and kissed him right on the mouth. Wesley kissed her back instictively. When he pulled back, he looked at her face. " Fred?" She smiled at him very prettily. " I don't know what Willow did, but I'm grateful. I've been trying to tell you for a long time, that I like you, Wesley." He sighed, and kissed her again. They were both oblivious the blasting horn, and the figure standing next Wesley's car.
