Missunderstanding
"What do you mean with that? What are you willing to try?" Angel asked inquisitively.
"I mean that I am willing to try to give us one last chance!" Xander spoke with vehemence. And with a small smile on his lips, he waited for Spikes and Angels reaction to his announcement.
"You, you, you; I mean are you serious?" A bluffed Angel spluttered.
"Yes, I am serious about it. I would never be kidding about something like that." Xander explained them both in a serious tone.
"Oh, baby. You can´t believe how happy you make us with that.
I can´t even find the words to say how much that means to me."
A surprised Spike said, who couldn´t believe his luck.
"Now, everything is going to be alright.
We have only to call at the airport, to tell them to make our private jet ready and in a few hours we will already be back home. Then we can..."
"Hey, wait a minute. Not so fast, you two.
I think there is a little misunderstanding going on between us." Xander cut Spike short.
"Baby, what is your problem?" Angel questioned bewildered.
"You want to know what my problem is? Don´t you see it for yourselves?
Can´t you see it?" Xander wanted to know in earnest.
Xanders only response he got to his question was two empty looks from Angel and Spike.
"You really don´t see the problem, do you?" Xander sighed and waited a second before going on.
"Okay, the problem is, like I said before, that you maybe missunderstood a few things."
"And what things do you think we missunderstood?" Angel requested from Xander.
"I don´t want us to just go on with our relationship where we left it of ten years ago. I want for us to have a new start. I want everything clear between us from the beginning. So, that there are no more missunderstandings." Xander answered.
"Okay, if you want that, then we can do that."
"But that is not all. There are also some conditions from which I expect, that you two are fulfilling them." Xander clarified.
"You know that we will do anything for you, and if these conditions are so important to you, then of course will we be fulfilling them." Angel affirmed.
"I have an idea. Since it is already pretty late, or should I say pretty early, I guess it would be for the best if we would go to a more private place, where we can´t be disturbed." Spike suggested, after looking at the clock on the wall.
"Yeah, you are right. It´s already 6.00 a.m. and in half an hour the club opens, so that the cleaning staff can come in." Xander confirmed.
"Did you have a special place in mind or do you want for us to choose one, Xander?" Spike querried.
"No, you don´t have to choose one. I know just the right place to go for us."
Xander explained to the two vampires.
"Okay then. Let´s go."
Angel said and the three of them set off.
