Ah, so Spike is going to help them deal with the Mayor's Ascension plans, eh? Good stuff! I'm looking forward to the next installment! As for your question, I think the third person you're using here is just fine. If you want to slip into first person every once in a while though, using the standard Spike or Xander's POV notification in the body of the story would work well enough. :)
