Blood Red
Blood Red
Teagan couldn’t believe what she was hearing. Her brother Conner wanted to go to a dance club owned by the master of the city. Oh no, there was no way in hell that she was agreeing to this. They had tempted fate already when she’d let her brother talk her into coming on this insane trip. Their mom and dad were so going to kill them if they ever found out that they’d taken off to St. Louis for a week visiting a were-leopard friend of theirs named Nathaniel, instead of staying the full two weeks in Georgia with a vampire friend of the their fathers soaking up a little r and r.
“Come on Conner you can’t be serious about this. Can’t we spend our last night in town quietly? Maybe rent a few movies, order a pizza and just hand out? Come on Nathaniel help me a little here will you?” she asked the leopard as she stood starring at her brother as he pulled her suitcase from the closet and un zipped it.
Of course neither of them where listening to her. Their attention was solely focused on her luggage and the clothes she had packed for the trip. She was seconds away from stomping over there and demanding that they stop with this nonsense and listen to here when they turned to her, both with a mischievous smile gracing their handsome faces.
As she looked at the little black dress they had picked out she groaned knowing that this argument was lost and that she would indeed be going out tonight. With one last thought to how bad an idea this actually was she grabbed the dress and went into the bathroom to change.
Fifteen minutes later she was dressed in the little black spaghetti dress the boys had picked out along with a pair of knee high black boots. She kept her makeup simple and left her shoulder length wavy brown hair loose. The only accessories she decided on was a satin choker her mother had given her that sported a small locket and a few silver colored bangles on her left wrist. With one last look in the mirror she turned to the guys and said “If were going lets go before I come to my senses and just stay here.”
So out the door they went and piled in her green F-150. “Seriously sis next time we take a trip we are so taking my car.” her brother grinned at her as he drove them the short distance to the club.
