I don't own Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It belongs to Joss and his lackeys. I do NOT get paid for writing this. This Is Simply My Own Wishful Thinking.!
Destiny's Guidance
Summary: Spike met Destiny years ago, making an alliance with her, seeking her help when he needed it and helping her when she needed his. He never thought she would lead him in the direction he had gone, nor did he expect what this next reunion with the Goddess would lead, or rather, who it would lead back to. Set two years after the final season of Angel!
Vilpax: Okay, so this story might seem different for everyone reading it. Woke up at four in the morning and just couldn’t help but lay awake for an hour and a half while it concocted in my head. Be patient as I post I will try and stay regular in updating, there will be parts where you wonder if the two main characters will get back together or not, but don’t worry. Buffy and Spike are the only couple I like! As for Spuffyness, this is a story with a real plot. There will be Spuffy times and moments but not right of the bat. Be patient! Don’t complain about how I write the story, I’m the one that knows the plot. If you don’t like where the plot is going don’t read it, if you can handle bearing with me as I take you through this adventure with everyones favorite couple. Then keep your hands and feet in at all times and enjoy the ride.

She was the perfect target. So oblivious to the world as she walked down the empty street humming. It was towards the end of the loll between the First and Second World War and Spike was hungry. Drusilla it seemed had found her prey for the evening and had gone off to have fun with him. Spike was not one to play with his food before eating it; his thrill wasn’t in torturing the person first, though he did enjoy the fear. Spike just enjoyed the hunt, the thrill of the meal itself.
The woman he’d spotted turned down a road and he followed, quickly noticing she’d done what he’d been hoping for, there was no one here; they could have their privacy. Moving quickly he grabbed her and pinned her to a wall. “Seems you picked the wrong night to be out pet,” There was humor to the vampires tone before the growl as he went to dive into her waiting neck.
“I wouldn’t use me for your supper.” The woman’s voice was quiet and yet firm, with a hand to his chest. The vampire was rather surprised, if this was not the slayer, he had kept aware of where the Slayer was at in the world every time a new one was called.
“Why the bloody hell not?” Patients was not something Spike had in abundance and pulling back he glared down at his prey, who it appeared was not afraid of him at all, which did take away the fun. That’s when he felt it; there was a tingling against his chest where her hand lay. Now that he looked more closesly the woman’s body was humming with energy, why hadn’t he noticed that before.
Calmly blue eyes met blue, not wavering, showing that the woman he had pinned knew very well what she was doing, “If you were to kill me you would be releasing the one who writes out the Destiny of the world from her Mortal bonds. Removing her ability to connect with the creatures she decides for.”
Confusion wrote itself clearly on the vampiric features, what the hell was the bit on about. Spike was not sure but with every passing moment her power seemed to be growing and growing. The once man was more inclined to believe what she said. Taking one step back and lighting a cigarette he looked at her sharply, apparently she took that as a good sign as she dropped her hand. “Alright, I don’t do anything just because you said please. What do I get out of the deal?”
The bit had the nerve to chuckle at his words and Spike couldn’t help but growl, “I didn’t say please. There was no need. But if you would like we can make a deal. There are times I need things done that I can’t do. If you do them for me, then I will in turn help you when the occasion calls.”
The deal had been tempting and after several minutes of delegation, like find out how often she would call on him and just what “when the occasion calls” meant to him. Spike walked off , still hungry, agitated, less confused, and holding a deal with a woman who claimed to hold the Destiny of the world in her hands.

It had been two years since he had last decided his grandsire was a bleedin’ idiot for probably the thousandth time. But Spike had fought by him and was on the road again. The vampire had tried to settle down over and over again, but each time he found himself unsatisfied or in a place with too much ruckus and thus would move. He was currently in Colorado trying to find some peace, his luck hadn’t been so good the last week or so. There was no activity therefore nothing to fight, yet as he turned the corner into an alley he blinked at the site before him. A vampire, he assumed by the sounds it made as it burned to death, burning to death. “Bloody hell. I didn’t know you could do that.”
A familiar chuckle floated in the air as blue eyes where turned on him, “I had never shown you what I could do so it’s not that much of a surprise.” She had changed since that first meeting, actually more than just a little. She was in a completely new body appearing now even younger then when he’d met her the first time.
Right, he thought to himself, she was still much of an enigma. After all she only showed herself when she chose and thus only ever when she needed something. Or, he remanded, when he needed something desperately and attempted to search for her, yet it never seemed to work. He could look for her all he wanted but she never showed up unless it was her will.
She had moved and was walking his direction and with a smile she slipped an arm through his, “It’s a cold night don’t you agree?” The friendly casual voice, not the polite all business voice, that was only really used when she was trying to butter him up for something. He kept his tongue to himself simply nodding with agreement to her words, he couldn’t feel the cold but figured if she said it then sure, it was cold. “Well then why don’t we find somewhere and sit down. I would love to have you fill me in on your life since I last saw you.”
Last time he had seen her.
Spike dumbly allowed her to lead him elsewhere forgetting that he had been heading back to his place to back up and leave. Instead his mind wondered back to the last time he’d seen the woman, when he’d searched her out to receive a soul. She of course hadn’t granted him such a request, “Spike,” She had said rather sadly, “I only control Destiny, I don’t give or take the souls myself.” She had in the end directed him to where he could go to perhaps receive one. She hadn’t said he would have to earn it, nor had she said what torment he would go through after receiving it. That would have been too much for her, he thought a scowl coming to his face.
In fact every time he had asked her for help she, instead of doing it herself, told him how to get it done or find the answer to what he was looking for but never had actually done it for him herself. Instead she’d twice asked him for favors and one it almost killed him. Though that fact had caused her to chuckle and inform him that it would not have killed him, it was The Will of Destiny that it happen and thus she had no doubt that he would not have died; she would then reprimand him for doubting her, and in such a way he hadn’t thought to argue until after the fact.
What was she going by in this time he thought to himself, he had to remember, she had been Elizabeth when he’d met her, now. Ah yes, she was going by Rabekuh. It wasn’t long before he was seated at a table in a local Denny’s and a round of hot chocolate had been ordered. Spike looked at the Goddess questionable, waiting for her to ask the usual question of “Where has life lead you since we last saw each other?” But it didn’t come, instead she seemed to be happily sipping the hot drink that he knew was burning her mouth from the way she paused to blow on it with every sip only to then take enough liquid in her mouth to fill a teaspoon.
“Well are you going to talk?”
Laughing lightly she set her mug down leaning back in the booth to look across the table ,”I already asked you to fill me in.”
No, she had said she would like him to, she hadn’t actually asked him, he wasn’t about to point out the difference, he’d also worried at what she could do, after that display tonight, he knew what she had almost done to him so many years ago. It seemed he had more reason to be weary of her then he had ever imagined. “I died, again. Got brought back to life, though only my vampiric one. Fought for yet another apocalypse, lived through that one.” The hot chocolate really was very hot he thought as he paused to drink it, he could feel it burning his own mouth, but he didn’t care, he’d felt worse pain. “It’s very dull when you’re not fighting to save the world.” She laughed at that statement and for some reason he felt himself bristling, “Isn’t there something you can do? Tell me where the action is?”
“The action?” As the question was asked she leaned forward once more, an eyebrow slightly arched and a small smile playing on her lips. “I could tell you where to find a good blood battle with demons. If that’s what you really want, but we both know you’re looking for something, someone else.”
He was surprised at that, usually she didn’t say what he wanted, but made him say it. It seemed she might make him say it again, but this time. This time she had initiated it, not talk drably about life until he got around the courage the ask her the favor. Well alright, he’d never done that, it was she’d come, he’d demand, she’d laugh then tell him where to go. Rather irritating now that he realized it. But this was still different; usually their meetings were orchestrated by her for a favor or to grant one. Patients never was a virtue of his, “Why don’t you just tell me what you want me to do and I can just be on my way to doing it then.”
“I don’t want anything.” It was said so simply and with such a tone as she leaned back to drink from her now apparently cooler mug, that he almost had to ask her to repeat herself. “This meeting was a chance meeting.” He couldn’t help but scoff at that, there was no bloody way he was going to believe her. “But I will, tell you where you can find her. Angel already did.”
The growl that emanated from the vampires throat was loud enough to scare nearby patrons, it only earned a soft laugh from her. “That’s just sodden great.” It was muttered under his breath and he took a long drink from the mug in hand, damn it he wanted something real to drink, not this flavorless chocolate water. Alcohol was what he needed, the burn down the throat and the eventual chance of getting drunk.
“Angel has been rather unsuccessful in wooing her back. Don’t you want the chance, the fair fight?” Yeah, he did. The thought went through his mind before he could stop it. There had to be a catch though, there was always a catch. “I’m on my way there. I can take you to her. It’s really not that far.”
Spike started at that, he was that close to her and he didn’t even know it. He’d searched for Buffy sure, he’d looked for her and not found her. Angel had though, he had found the woman and apparently she wasn’t impressed, why would she be impressed that he was led to her? Very near scoffing and simply walking away the vampire couldn’t. His mind was saying leave, his heart on the other hand was screaming with joy at the chance. “When do we leave?”

Vilpax: Okay! The end of the first Chapter. Hope you liked it! I have another one floating in my head and nothing to do so I'll get right on that, though I'm not sure how long that one will take to type up. Reviews are welcome! Until next time!
