Buffy had told her to just get in and get out, but Willow being Willow had to be the book worm, and that is how she found herself face to face with the dark slayer.

"Well, look what we have here, B's top lap dog" said Faith.

"You don't have to do this Faith" countered Willow.

"Are you going to tell me its not to late and their still hope for me?"

Willow finding her bravery stated "Oh, its way to late, we could have helped you been you friends, but you threw all that a way for the dark side."

Before Willow knew what hit her Faith had landed a solid left hook sending her to the ground, all at once Faith was on top of her leaning in close.

"You hurt me, I hurt you, I'm just better at it that you are".

The mayor who had not only been watching this little exchange, but all of Faith's strange behavior toward the red head for months. The following her around, making sure she got home safe at night, when Buffy was to busy pinning over Angel to do it.

Finally putting two and two together, he comes to a decision that will change the lives of all Sunnydale residents.

"Now Faith is that anyway to treat a guess or love interest?"

"I don't know what you are talking about boss"
"Sure you don't pumpkin, let me tell you something young lady, a father knows things about his children's wants and need, and as your father I can see things clearly even when you can't".

The mayor puts a hand on Faith arm, "you are the child that I never had and as such it is my job to put your future ahead of mine."

"what are you talking about boss," faith ask almost with tears in her eyes
"I'm talking about there has been a change in plans Faith, you take mis Rosenberg here to my office, and I will be there shortly I have some plans to make."

Willow who had been watching the whole scene could not figure out what shocked her more, the fact that the mayor had referred to Faith as a daughter or the fact that Faith was crying. But she didn't have much time to ponder the facts, as Faith quickly pulled her out of the room.

Richard looked own at his child, and his child's chosen mate, and smiled. He had an acension to call off and a deal to make. He quickly left the conference room and found the two girls in his office, Willow sitting on the couch and Faith gazing out the window.

"Boss what's going on, what did all that mean back there?"
"I means Faith that I am calling off the acension..now before you say anything let me finish. My whole existence has been leading up to this, and its all I ever wanted, that is until I met you. Faith you have shown me what was really missing in my life, and I want to hold on the that for as long as possible".

Leaving both girl speechless, he picks up the phone and dials a number.

"Ms Summers, I have a proposition for you."
