Angelu's Actor
Angelus remembered the blond Lelio of the Parisian stage… the bluew eyed beauty whom he watched night after night.
He’d lived in Paris then, as a rich Lord would, avoiding the vampires of the cemeteries and stalking his actor. He’d planed to take the man, to claim such beauty as his own ---but the man had vanished. Not even the violinist he lived with knew where he had gone… It was as if he had dropped off the face of the world. When he was unable to find his actor, Angelus left Paris, disappointed.
It wasn’t until he got a soul and became Angel that he once again saw the blond actor… now prancing and singing for the masses on TV as a vampiric rock star.
Angel had gone to the concert, he’d found a way backstage and ran smack into his actor, for that was how Angelus still thought of him.
He was even more beautiful as an immortal, and the two had stared at each other, amazingly there was a light in the man’s eyes… he knew that Angel was the man who had stalked him when he was on the Parisian stage. He opened his mouth and reached out for Angel, about to say something---
What his actor turned rock star was going to say, Angel never knew.
For the show began and the blond man was swept onstage and vanished once more… this time into the arms of a goddess.
It wasn’t until the books came that Angel realized that he had loved the mortal man in that theater in Paris… loved him although ---as Angelus--- he had no soul with which to love the actor… his Lestat, eternally lying just beyond his reach.
