CLING TO THE RAIN
Willow walked back home in the rain with no umbrella to protect her from the elements. She could feel her clothes clinging to her, her blouse now showing off the curve of her breasts and her short skirt clinging to her legs, making it difficult to walk properly.
She knew he was watching her, he always watched, always said he was worried about her walking alone at night in the city. Willow smiled at this thought, knowing what his true intentions were but also knowing he would never say anything.
Willow’s clothes were now skin tight as she entered the Hotel lobby, all she wanted to do now was sink into a warm bath to try and feel halfway human again but saw him standing there in front of her, gawping at the sight of her.
“Ummm, Hi Willow. You’re, uh, wet.” Angel said, as if Willow wasn’t aware of the fact.
“Yeah, I kinda noticed that.” Willow replied, blushing slightly at the look that Angel was still giving her. “I want to get myself cleaned up, do you mind if I…”
“No, of course. Don’t mind me. Is there anything I can get you? Some clean towels?” Angel asked.
“A towel would be nice.” Willow replied as she made her way to the bathroom. On reaching her destination Willow turned the taps, making sure she got plenty of hot water, then stripped off her sodden clothes before slipping into the hot water, trying to wash away the rain.
A knock at the door brought Willow out of her dreamlike state of floatingness she felt in the hot water, then heard a voice, “Willow, it’s me, I got your towel, I’ll just leave it here.”
“No, Angel.” Willow replied, a slight hint of mischievousness in her voice. “You can bring it in, I don’t mind.”
A smile played at Angel’s lips, hoping beyond hope that this was the opportunity he’d been waiting for. He hadn’t wanted to make his feelings known to Willow, not after he’d dated her best friend for years, and also the fact that Willow’s last two relationships had been with females. Angel had always thought he was deluding himself that Willow would have any interest in him, but maybe he’d been wrong.
Angel slowly opened the bathroom door, and entered the room, not sure where to put his gaze but finally deciding to look Willow in the eye. It was the only place he felt his gaze was safe.
“So I, uhh, brought your towel.” Angel told Willow, unsure of how to proceed with the beauty of a woman he saw before him.
“When did you get so coy Angel?” Willow asked as she sat up in the bath, exposing her breasts to the air, in full view of Angel, and took the towel from his hands and placed it on the floor beside her.
“Now.” Willow said as she turned back to Angel. “What can I do with you Angel? You watch me day and night, yet that’s all you do. I want you Angel, so much it hurts sometimes, but you never do anything but watch me.”
“I, Willow, I mean. I wasn’t sure. You…” Angel didn’t get to finish this sentence as Willow pulled him in to kiss her.
“See, that wasn’t too difficult, was it?” Willow asked as she smiled at him. Angel smiled back slowly, then kissed her back strongly, while slowly undressing himself with his free hand. Things were definitely starting to look up, and L.A was definitely going to become a less lonely city for the two of them now.
