Disclaimer:
I do not own Angel: The Series, nor any of the characters from it. I do not make any money from the writing of this story.
Chapter 4
Disclaimer: I own none of the characters. Joss gets that distinction although I would love to borrow them for awhile. I'm afraid to say that I'm going to be quite mean to them. Especially Spike because that's just my way.
Warning: Lots of torture, rape, and mean stuff mentioned.
A/N: I enjoy total evil stuff and of course, the hurt and comfort stuff as well. You gotta break them before you can fix them up, though. hehehe
Rating: NC-17
Summary: The battle is over and now things have to be made right. Unfortunately the AI group has been played badly by the Powers That Be and the Apocalypse being stopped was just a way to prove that the group is more trouble than it's worth because Angel and his colleagues are interfering with the balance of good and evil. Now there is another big bad that wants retribution and plans to exact it's revenge by harming the group. Luckily Angel has someone on his side that can ease the pain.
Angel fell to the ground and allowed himself one sob. When he rose, he told the others to stay away for now. He went up to the penthouse and stared at the door. He was so afraid of what he might see, but he opened the door. What he saw took his breath away and he vowed that he would fight to bring Spike back no matter how long it took.
Spike was lying on the bed that was now in his front room wrapped up in white satin sheets. His skin was flawless and his peroxide blonde hair had softened to a honey blonde color that seemed to combine his natural color and his dyed color. He looked like he was just taking an afternoon nap and there was nothing to betray what he had been through. What had he been through?
Angel closed the door and walked over to the bed. He knelt down beside the bed and watched Spike's face. He was so peaceful and he was so still. Angel smiled. He always slept like ''the dead'', and sometimes it creeped him out, but not this time. He was just so happy to see him. He wanted him to open up his eyes so Angel could talk to him and tell him all of the things he'd been holding in for so many years.
His wish was granted when Spike's eyes snapped open suddenly as if a light switch was turned on. He stared straight ahead and didn't even register that Angel was there.
Angel smiled. "Spike...can you hear me?"
Spike continued to stare straight ahead, not responding at all.
Angel reached out and rested his hand on Spike's shoulder wanting to offer comfort. The keening sound that filled the room made Angel jump away and watch helplessly as the blank eyes filled with terror and his childe curled in on himself. "Spike...no..."
Spike began to quiet down once Angel wasn't touching him anymore, but he still didn't seem to notice that Angel was in the room.
Angel sighed and walked over to his phone. He called downstairs and asked the others to come to the penthouse and that everything was fine. He hung up and watched Spike for awhile until the others got there.
When they saw Spike they all rushed forward, but Angel stopped them. "He won't respond and he doesn't like being touched. I don't know what to do."
One by one they approached. Wes got the the same reaction as Angel. Lorne didn't even get to touch him before Spike freaked, probably because of the demonic appearance. Fred, on the other hand, got close and was about to reach out when Spike's eyes darted over to meet hers. She gasped and smiled tentatively. "I'm not going to hurt you, Spike. I never have..."
