A/N: I know that there is no Coyote Ugly in LA but just pretend, k? This story is inspired by my recent trip to the bar in Denver and I had such a blast there. Those of you that are of age and haven’t been, should go!

Chapter 1: Coyote Ugly

Faith practically had to beg and plead to get Buffy to go out with her tonight. Buffy had been in a funk lately and Faith wanted to cheer her up. Buffy reluctantly agreed but had no idea where they were going; Faith wanted to surprise her.

Buffy froze when she saw the sign outside the bar they stopped at. “You’ve got to be joking, right?” She looked at Faith incredulously.

Faith just smiled at her. “Come on, B! You’ll have fun, I promise.”

“Isn’t Coyote Ugly a guys bar? I don’t really find women attractive so why would I enjoy watching them dance on the bar?”

“Look, let’s just try it, alright? If you’re not having fun in an hour we’ll go somewhere else.”

Buffy gave in. “Fine. One hour that’s all you have to make me have fun.”

Faith beamed. “Great! Let’s go in.”

The two girls flashed their Id’s at the door and headed in to the loud bar. The current song was “The Devil Went Down to Georgia” and the Coyotes were up on the bar dancing. Faith and Buffy headed to the bar to get their first drink. Faith bought a Red Bull/ Vodka and Buffy bought a Captain/Coke. Buffy glanced around the bar reading the various writing on the walls and mirrors. Her favorite was the quote, “Here's to the ladies of Coyote Ugly. We take all your money and drink all your booze. We don’t have our cherries, but that's no sin, we have the box they came in.” The bar had a very “urban cowboy” feel to it. Most of the Coyotes were dressed in little more than bras, jeans, and cowboy boots.

The song ended and most of the Coyotes got off the bar, to be replaced by women from the crowd. Faith strode purposefully up to the bar, but Buffy grabbed her arm.

“Faith, what are you doing?”

“Getting up on the bar to dance, stupid. You should come with.” Faith knew Buffy would say no, but had to ask anyways.

“Uh, No, thanks. Not near drunk enough to humiliate myself like that.”

“Suit yourself.” Faith hopped up onto the bar and began to dance. Buffy watched her with awe as Faith shook her ass and stirred up the men in the audience. Her attention was soon drawn elsewhere when one of the Coyotes voice carried over the speaker.

“Oh my god! What is that thing and why is its hair that color?” The entire bar turned to watch as a very attractive man came into the bar. He was about average height, had striking cheekbones, bright white-blond hair, and dressed in all black, including his ankle length duster. The man smirked at the acknowledgement, and let his eyes roam the crowd. They landed on a petite blond woman who was staring at him before turning back to watch one of the girls dancing on the bar. He smirked at her flustered redirection and started to make his way towards her.

Buffy appraised the white-haired man as he walked in, almost rolling her eyes at the Billy Idol wannabe outfit. There seemed to be something about him, though; she couldn’t take her eyes off of him. She looked him over from toe to head, appreciating the view. When she got up to his face, she noticed he was staring right back at her. Flustered, she turned back to watch Faith still going at it on the bar.

Faith, soon, was tired from the dancing and hopped down to join Buffy. She was nearly overcome with men offering to buy her a drink in appreciation of her show. Faith smiled at the attractive ones, leaned into them, and purred in their ears that she would love a drink. The older or less attractive men, she ignored all together. Once Faith was finished flirting with the boys, she took her free drink over to Buffy.

“Sure you don’t want to go up there, B? It’ll be a cheaper night for you, if you do. See, Dancing on bar equals men buying the drinks.” Faith raised her drink for emphasis.

Buffy laughed at Faiths way of explaining why she should get up and dance. Buffy kind of wanted to but wasn’t sure about being up in front of so many people. She contented herself to dancing on the bar floor. Starting to feel a little looser from the drink she had, she started dancing more aggressively and soon Faith joined her.

Buffy was soon interrupted by the white-haired man. He leaned down and whispered in her ear.

“Buy you a drink, luv, if you’ll dance on the bar for me.”

A/N: Sorry the first chap is so short. Hope you guys liked it anyways. The quote from the bar may not be exact, but it’s pretty darn close.
