He took one last look at her and jumped down from the tree. He landed gracefully on the ground below. Without looking back he made his way out into the night. He didn’t see the shadow inside her window, watching him walk away, tears streaming silently down her cheeks.

Buffy lay in her bed, pretending to sleep, knowing he was out there watching her. Quite unexpectedly she felt him leaving. Jumping out of bed she ran to the window. ‘No! Don’t go! Where are you going?’
