Soul Stealers
Angel drove his GTX convertible down into the covered parking lot and walked towards the elevator. Angel suddenly felt a sharp pain in the back of his neck and his vision went black, he tried desperately to stay conscious but the darkness wrapped itself around his mind and he slipped into unconsciousness, as someone pulled at his legs.

Devon used the weight of his weapon to knock the vampire out. Once he heard the satisfying groan of his victim falling unconscious, his accomplice helped him pull the vampire towards the car and into the boot. He pulled out a syringe and injected it’s contents into the vampires arm before shutting the boot door and climbing into the drivers seat

A few hours before this event, Angel, the vampire with a soul, doomed to walk the earth atoning for all the wrongs he had committed as his evil counter part, Angelus, had been at his desk at Wolfram & Heart with the whole gang discussing the latest case they were working on. Fred had been explaining some sort of technological, mystical gadget that the lab had newly created to help with the investigation.
‘…So these should help tell us who had been near the area of the crime. Angel…’ Angel wasn’t listening, he was remembering. He was remembering Cordelia Chase. Cordelia was his latest love, who had been put into a Coma, when a higher power demon had given birth to itself from her. She had come back for one day to put him back on his path. He was remembering the kiss they had shared before she had died in her Coma without having actually woken up at all!
‘…ANGEL!’ Fred repeated for the forth time. Everyone was looking at him with concern covering their features.
‘What…Sorry, I was somewhere else their for a minute. Angel snapped back into reality. Fred continued with her explanation of the technology and Angel tried really hard to focus on the conversation and succeeded for about sixty percent of the time.

A shadow in the corner of the ‘Oakwood’ bar moved ever so slightly in the form of moving the bottle of beer to his lips and back to the table in front of him. He was waiting for his boss. When his boss walked in he instantly knew, he didn’t even have to look up to know, the bars quiet talk from the people in the booths almost completely silenced as they all tried to shrink and disappear. The tall, dark, handsome man he was waiting for walked smoothly and purposefully towards the table. He sat down and looked expectantly at the man across from him. He looked like the typical bad guy with his dark hair, tall, muscular body and very well dressed.
‘Well! Is it done?’ he asked the thin, scared looking man in front of him.
‘Yes, he’s dealt with and the item you wanted is here.’ He took a stone out of his pocket and placed it on the table. It was a green gem with a smaller red one in the middle at the centre. The tall dark gentleman took the stone and placed it into his inside pocket.
‘Well done Jim, I’ll see you soon.’ Jim, the scared young man, took the last swig of his beer and took the envelope of cash which had been put on the table, and walked, very speedily, out of the door into the light of the streetlamps glow. He almost ran the last fifty yards or so to his car and jumped in and drove away.
