“Where are you going? I thought we were done.” h loh looked at Wesley as he pulled into the store parking lot.

“Not quite.” He shook his head. “I made the mistake of asking if anyone needed anything before we left. I’m afraid we have a list.”

“Wes…” she whined as the car came to a stop.

“You can wait out here if you’d like, though… I might have difficulty finding what Cordelia needs. And if I get the wrong thing, she’ll probably get mad and we’ll have to listen to her piss and moan all night an-”

Faith glared at him. “I hate you. You know that, right?” she asked, as she snatched the list from him. She read it and smirked.

“No wonder Angel’s been acting up.”

He looked at her in confusion. “Pardon?”

“Vampires and women having their periods aren’t usually a good mix.” She stated, her tone of voice saying ‘You should know this, you were once an all mighty watcher.’

Before he could even think of something to say in reply, she sighed and opened her door. “Fine, I’m comin’. But only to save Cordelia from me. If I have to listen to her bitch and moan one more night, I’ll have to knock her out.”

He stared at her a moment. “You are joking, right?”

She smirked and shrugged as she stepped out of the car. “Maybe.”

They both got out and hurried to the front doors.

“Looks like it’s closing soon. Gotta hurry, cuz I refuse to get stuck here all night.” She said jokingly as she and Wesley entered the store.

He smirked and shook his head. “Trust me, that won’t happen.”

“You’re what?!” Cordelia screeched into the phone.

On the other end, Faith winced and held her cell phone away from her ear a moment, making a face.

Wesley looked at her strangely. The noise that had come from the receiver had not sounded human. She looked at him and shrugged.

“We’re stuck in the store.” She repeated for the sixth time.

She heard Cordelia yell “Oh my GOD!” and drop the phone. Just as she was about to hang up, Gunn picked it up.

“Faith? What’s going on?”

She sighed. “We’re stuck in the God damn store.”

Wesley listened as she spoke.

“Locked in… no, like LOCKED IN… yes… yeah, we tried… we’re not stupid… I dunno…”

After a few more minutes she flipped the phone shut and looked at Wesley, shrugging. “We’re stuck ‘til the re-open.”

He looked at her in mock surprise. “Really?? Oh my- Faith, I never realized that.”

“Screw you.” She rolled her eyes and shoved past him.

“Where are you going?” he demanded, causing her to stop in her tracks. She turned on her heel to face him, chewing her bottom lip.

“Anywhere that’s away from you right now, alright? I figure I’ll save us both the frustration, ‘cuz right now my fist is just itching to collide with your face. And sorry, but I don’t really want another night like THAT to happen again.” She took a breath and sighed, hands balling into fists at her side. “There’s an exit at the back of the store. Tomorrow, when they open this God forsaken place up again, we’re sneaking out that way and going back to the cabin. That way, we won’t get caught and I won’t have to embarrass you by telling everyone what an idiot you are.” She smiled sarcastically and turned, walking in the direction of the door again.

He shook his head and followed, trying not to laugh at the absurdity of the situation.

“Don’t tell me you’re blaming me for this.”

“Caught that, did ya?”

“You must be kidding-”

She didn’t know how close he’d gotten so when she whirled around to face him, their lips were almost touching. She faltered a second before glaring at him.

“Do I look like I’m kidding? If you hadn’t pulled the “proper British guy, ‘does anyone need anything while I’m out?’ ” thing, we wouldn’t be stuck here.”

He couldn’t help smiling. He didn’t know why he was smiling, but he was. He shook his head and turned around. “This is the last thing I need right.” He said and began walking back in the other direction. She scoffed and followed him.

“Oh well, I’m impressed. Wesley Wyndam Pryce knows what he doesn’t need. Does he know what hES nES need? Like maybe to actually enjoy the fucking vacation he’s on instead of locking himself away in a room, doing research?”

He turned on her quickly and for a fraction of a second, he scared her. “I started that work months ago. You have no fucking clue as to what I’m getting from this research. I’m not even sure that it’s right! It can’t be! There has to be something I’m missing and until I figure out what that is, I’m not stopping.”

He paused and stared at her, eyes dark and angry. “Do not stand there and act like you know what’s going on. You don’t know what the fuck you’re talking about. You can’t understand it.”

“Understand what?”

“Anything! What it means if this prophecy is true! How stressful the situation is now… it’s not half as bad as how fucking stressful it could be. I…”

Faith shook her head. “That was the whole point of this little getaway. Leave the stress in LA. Five lousy days of peace an-”

“You still don’t get it! I can’t just leave the stress behind, Faith!” His expression of anger soon softened to one of tired defeat. “This prophecy, I… I don’t know what to do to stop it.”

He looked at her sadly and shook his head. “And I can’t bring myself to tell the one person it concerns most.”

Her hardened eyes softened as she realized he was serious. He really didn’t know what to do.

“What is it?”

He shook his head again and looked away, refusing to say anything. She sighed.

“Wes, if it’s something that bad you need to tell someone.”

He looked back at her and stared for a moment before nodding. He took a breath.

“It involves Connor.”
******************************
“No way,” she shook her head. “No, you, you’ve gotta have something wrong- mixed up.”

He sighed. “I keep telling myself that too, but… I’ve cross-referenced and retranslated about six hundred times. I keep getting the same thing. ‘The father will kill the son.’”
She She jumped up from her seat on the bench. “Don’t say that!” she hissed, letting out a shaky breath. “Oh, God.” She turned to face him. “You have to tell Angel.”

He sighed and nodded. “I know.”

“I mean it Wes. You have to tell him.”

“I. Know.” He said slowly, emphasizing both words.

She slowly sat back down and looked at him. “Wes… why didn’t you say anything sooner?”

He returned the gaze and shrugged. “I… I don’t know.” He shook his head and sighed. “I guess I was… am scared of Angel’s reaction.”

“If it helps any, I’ll go with you to when you talk to him.” She offered.

He looked at her and smiled lightly, nodding. “Thank you, Faith.”

Half an hour later she found herself in the cosmetics section, going through different body sprays and lotions.

“Gonna get a headache.” she said to herself as she sniffed a bottle and read the label. It smelled similar to the stuff she wore.

“Vanilla and Cinnamon.” She read aloud, and nodded. “Yup.” She looked around, wondering where Wesley had gone off to. They’d decided to wander around and gotten separated. She shrugged and went to put the bottle back in its spot.

“Do you always talk to yourself like this?” came his voice from behind her.

She jumped and turned to face him, smirking. “Hey, it’s healthy to talk to yourself sometimes. I’ve read it some- hey, you shaved.” She smiled.

He laughed. “Yes, this morning actually. However joking your earlier comment was meant to be, it stuck in my head and I just said ‘To hell with it.’”

She placed her hand to her heart. “I’m touched.” She said mockingly.

He glared at her playfully and she shook her head and laughed.

“No, really. It’s nice to know my opinion mattered to someone for once.”

He watched her for a few minutes, transfixed by her beauty. Even the simple movement of taking the cap off a bottle of perfume was graceful. He narrowed his eyes. “Faith, your opinion always matters.”

She raised her eyebrows at him and smirked. “Does it, now?”

He nodded. “Of course it does. Why do you think I’m always asking for it?”

“T’be nice?” she shrugged.

He sighed and shook his head. “No… Faith, I care about what you think. I remember when you used to have no problem voicing your opinion, when you let everyone know what you thought.”

“Yeah,” she chuckled dryly, “the good old days.”

“Old? Yes. Good? Not quite. But that’s not the point. Now, you don’t let anyone know how feel about anything. And I just-”

She looked away. He sighed.

“Look Faith, we’ve been working together for almost two years now. I care about you. No matter what happens, you’re always going to be my Slayer. I just hate to watch you keep everything inside. You have to start letting some of it out.”

He placed his hand on her shoulder and she turned toward him, nodding gently.

“Right now? You want me to start right now?” she asked.

He shrugged, but nodded gently. “It would be a start.”

“Alright.” She said and closed the space between them. She slid her hand up behind his neck and pulled his lips to hers.

They kissed softly at first, the kiss quickly deepening as he began to respond and kiss her back.

He reached to wrap his arms around her waist, but faltered and quickly pulled back, staring at her.

“What are you doing?”

“She looked up into his eyes and shrugged. “Letting you know how I’m feeling right now.”

Before he could respond she attacked his mouth, kissing him hungrily.

He turned, pushing her into the wall behind them. She fell into it with a small moan as his hands slid around her waist and pulled her close.

She felt his cock against her and she moaned again in surprise. She pressed herself against him and felt his still hardening cock respond to the hot wetness between her legs.

She shuddered in anticipation as his cock probed between her legs and she bit his bottom lip, giving it a small tug. He hands reached his pants and expertly unfastened them, sliding inside to stroke his length.

He closed his eyes, hissing lightly at the touch. Her fingers walked over the entire length of his cock, grasping and tugging at him here and there.

“Faith…” he almost growled her name and she smiled at the amount of both pleasure and want in his voice.

She kissed him again while unfastening her own pants and wrapped her legs around his waist. He quickly thrust up into her hot, wet center.

She adjusted to his size in a matter of seconds and he was soon pounding into her fast and hard. She moaned and rolled her hips, matching his rhythm thrust for thrust.

He pushed deeper with each thrust, causing a mix of pleasure and pain to shoot through her body.

She pulled his lips to hers again and kissed him savagely. He returned the kiss, tongue plundering her mouth as he continuously slammed her into the wall.

There was no doubt in his mind that he’d thought about this. What it would be like to kiss Faith. What it would be like to hold her; fuck her… make love to her.

He thought about it often. Most nights, he’d be up researching that damn prophecy about Connor. He’d rest his eyes for just a few minutes and she’d suddenly walk into his offices.

They’d talk a little, flirt. Then they’d kiss, reveal secret feelings for one another and have sex.

It was the same routine every night. Only some nights, they’d make love; soft, tender. Other nights, they’d fight each other for control over the situation.

Either way it always ended the same. They’d climax, they’d slow, stop and look at each other. They’d smile and she’d touch his face.

He’d close his eyes a moment and when he opened them, he’d find himself right where he’d been before she’d walked in.

It wouldn’t take long for him to realize he’d been dreaming.

Was he dreaming this time? He didn’t think he was. This felt real, so real. He wasn’t sure.

She gripped him tightly, her movements becoming more urgent. They were both close to orgasm, so close, they felt as if they were going to explode.

She squeezed him inside of her and he grasped her hips, stroking still harder and faster. He tore his lips from hers and kissed her neck, nipping at her skin.

She moaned and bit her lip as her orgasm began to rip through her body.

He thrust into her once more before he too reached his climax, shooting his load deep inside of her.

She cried out and he silenced her, savagely pressing his lips to hers and kissing her hungrily.

Their movements slowed, stopped as they continued to kiss and explore on another’s mouths.

They pulled apart and she smiled at him. “That was… wow.” she laughed and placed her head on his shoulder, waiting for her breathing to return to normal.

“That good or bad?” he asked breathlessly, returning the smile.

“Good wow,” she looked back up at him and nodded before kissing him softly. “Very good wow.” she purred when she pulled back.

She slowly dropped from his arms and he pulled back. They both rearranged their clothes, fastened their pants and headed off to the back emergency exit.
******************************
His watch beeped at five am, waking him up. He looked around, memories of the night before flooding back. He looked down at his right and smiled at Faith’s sleeping form. She’d curled up next to him and rested her head on his shoulder.

They’d managed to find a somewhat comfortable position sitting on the floor by the exit. He looked at his watch and sighed. Someone would be coming by the store soon.

He nudged Faith lightly. “Faith? Faith, get up.”

She moaned, “I’m up.”

“Someone should be here soon. We shouldn’t be here much longer.”

She nodded against him. “Just carry me outside.” she smiled.

He looked at her seriously. “Faith.”

She sat up and looked at him, sighed. “Kidding.” She sighed again as she rolled her neck around, getting the kinks out of it.

She stood and stretched, walking around a little. He watched her closely, not realizing she could sense him.

She turned and smiled at him. “See something y’like?”

He quickly looked away and cleared his throat.

Suddenly the lights came on simultaneously, blinding them momentarily. They heard what sounded like locks being deactivated and they looked at each other and nodded.

They pushed the door open, both jumping when the emergency alarm went off. They looked at each other again, this time nervously.

“Screw it.” She shouted over the shrieking alarm and they ran to the car, practically diving into the front seat. He started it and drove off as quickly as possible.
******************************
“Sure you don’t wanna come, Wes?”

Wesley nodded. “Gunn, really. I’m not up to it. I’m really tired… and skiing really isn’t my thing.” He shook his head.

Gunn shrugged. “Alright man. Me, Fred, Cordy and Angel are going. Faith’s out visiting some friends. Tell her where we are if she wants to come meet up with us. We’ll be back before sunrise.”

Wesley nodded. “Okay, have fun.”

He waited until he heard the four of them leave before coming out of his room. He sat on the couch and turned on the TV, searching for something to keep his mind off of Connor, the prophecy and Faith.

Just then, the cabin’s front door swung open and Faith walked in, shivering lightly.

She looked at Wesley and smiled. “It’s freezing out there!” she exclaimed as she shrugged her jacket off and made her way to the couch.

“Whatcha watchin’?”

He shrugged. “Nothing interesting.”

She nodded and sighed.

“So, I’ve been thinking a lot about what you said in the store. About me keeping my feelings and thoughts to myself? And… well, there’s something I think I should tell you.”

He looked at her in concern and flipped the TV off. “Faith, what is it?”

She took a breath and leaned closer to him. Her eyes, dark with a hungry lust, they met his own and she licked her lips.

“I’ve uh, I’ve been fantasizing about… well, about you. A lot.” His gaze faltered and he stared at her a moment, not sure he’d heard her correctly.

“I think about you at night… and things you might do to me.” Her voice got lower and she leaned in closer. “I can honestly say no one’s ever turned me on as much as you do.”

She smiled and bit her lip. “Just thought I’d share that with you.” She said playfully and stood, walking away.

She’d only walked three or four steps when he was suddenly right behind her. He grabbed her hand and forced her to face him. He smiled at her.

“Took you long enough.” He said, voice rough before he pulled her lips to his.

He began backing her towards his room and she pulled back a little.

“What if someone comes in here?”

He shook his head and smiled as he reached for the doorknob.

“They’ll be out all night. Trust me.” He said as he pushed the door open and continued to back her into the room.

They kissed again and she moaned in playful protest.

“I trusted you about the store last night and we ended up getting locked in there for the night.”

He nodded and began to unbutton her shirt. “True… but I seem to remember it being a pretty good night for the both of us.”

She smiled and kicked his door shut. “Yeah, me too.” She laughed as they toppled onto his bed.
