Note: This is a short fic I just thought up. I'm watching Buffy right now and the episode came on and well I just had to write it! It is a funny episode! Oh yeah and Anya doesn't exist, I love her and everything but she just doesn't fit. I know Toth doesn't turn to green dust either but its fiction!

Buffy, Riley Giles, er aer and Willow were at the dump looking for Toth. Xander spotted Spike first and immediately his heart began to race. "Spike, what are you doing here?"

"Oh, there's a nice lady vampire who's set up a tea room over by the next pile of crap. What do you think I'm doing?"

Giles stepped in before there was a fight between Buffy's boyfriend and the chipped vampire.

"We are looking for a demon Spike, he has glowing teeth and his skin is all wrinkly. Have you seen it?"

"You mean that big robey bugger behind you?"

All of the scoobies turned and prepared for battle. Toth shot his stick gun and hit Xander. Buffy moved quickly as Spike cheered on Toth. She stabbed Toth and he dissolved into green dust. Spike continued picking things up from the trash pretending they weren't there. Buffy and Riley helped Xander and walked home and put him to bed. Meanwhile Spike was looking for more things to put in his crypt he found Xander who was waking up, lying in a large pile of rubble.

"Bloody hell they just left you here?"

"Guess so, Spike help me up would you?"

Spike reached out his hand and helped the scooby out of the trash. Spike thought the boy was sexy even when he was all dirty. He always liked Xander a lot even though he would never admit it, because he knew the boy could never feel the same way.

Spike pouted when Xander got up and went to the bathroom, but wrapped himself tighter in the blankets. Xander was putting clothes on and Spike didn't like that.

"What are you doing?"

"I'm starved and I was just going to go out and get some food. There's nothing here and you are going to need blood."

"Oh OK."

"I'll be back in a bit OK cutie."

"Right Xanny-poo, make sure it's human."

"Only the best for my vampire."

Spike smiled at that, he was Xander's. Xan left to go get the food and Spike closed his eyes. A few minutes later Xander came back, but he was wearing different clothes and he had no food.

"Hey Xan!"

"Don't hey me you evil piece of shit!"

"Hey now what's with all the yelling?"

"Shut the fuck up you little bastard!""

"Xander what's wrong?"

"You, your wrong everything about you! I hate you! You make me sick you filthy demon! Your nothing! You are a worthless bloodsucker and I am going to kill you!"

Spike's eyes filled with tears at his lovers harsh words. He saw Xander lift a wooden stake and he backed into the wall.

"X- Xan now wait luv, what's going on? You don't want to do this pet."

"It is too I loathe you and I want you dead you soulless monster!'

As Xander went to stab him Spike pushed him to the floor. Spike's chip activated and sent him a painful shock, but he didn't care. All he knew was he was hurt and he wanted to get the fuck out of there.

Spike ran as fast as he could back to his crypt and sobbed. He cried for hours drowning his sorrows in alcohol. He drank at least five bottles of hard liquor before deciding to off himself. He knew he couldn't stake himself so he went outside and waited for the sun.

Xander came back to his parents house with food and blood and only found himself? He was shocked and confused to say the least.

"What, huh, how? What is going on here?"

"You are evil and you were with that stupid vampire! You make me ill!"

"Spike!? What happened to Spike!"

"I tried to kill him, but he attacked me and ran."

"A- attacked you?"

"Well, pushed me."

"You tried to kill him!?"

"Yes, and now I'm going to kill you!"

Out of nowhere Willow, Buffy and Riley burst in the door. They appeared to be out of breath, Buffy spoke first.

"Xander. . . s! you can't kill each other!"

They both turned and said "What?" Buffy explained how they were both Xander, just two different parts of him. She told them that Willow was going to perform a spell and put them back together. They set up and the Two Xander's stood in the center of a circle. Willow said a few words and Xander opened his eyes.

"That's it Willow?"

"Well, yeah. Well actually your memories are going to combine also"

"Hey I got a raise and a new apartment! Oh fuck I had sex with Spike and tried to kill him!"

After he said that everyone in the room went silent. Everybody was in shock and didn't know what to say. Willow calmed first and patted Xander on the back.

"It's OK Xander."

"No, it isn't, oh shit he was so upset Will."

"You mean you care about him?"

"I guess, I do. I have to go find him."

Buffy and Riley were still agape at what Xander had said they didn't notice him leave. Xander made his way across town through the park and to the cemetery. He went to Spike's crypt, but it was empty. He found several bottles of alcohol and a suicide note. He read it and almost cried, Spike loved him and was in a lot of pain. He wrote all about how he felt and their night and at the end signed it 'William.' Xander had to find him, so he searched. Finally about an hour before dawn he spotted the weeping blonde near a headstone. He approached him quietly, so he wouldn't startle him.

"Hey."

"Go away."

"No, we need to talk."

"I think you said enough, just let me be."

"Spike you don't understand that wasn't me who said that. Well, it was but not me, me."

"What are you talking about?"

"Remember Toth? Well, yea he made two of me. When we were at the dump, I got shot with this ball of light. One of me slept with you and the other tried to kill you. It is really confusing, but you have to believe me Spike."

"Why should I?"

"Oh I know, you could ask Buffy."

"No, leave me alone."

"Yes, I know how to convince you. When I came back from getting food was I wearing the same clothes?"

"Um no."

"Did I even have food?"

"No, you didn't."

"Exactly, because it wasn't me Spike."

"It really wasn't?"

"No baby, this Xander loves you."

Spike didn't speak, he just stared at Xander with wide innocent eyes and tear streaked his cheeks. Xander thought he looked adorable especially when that full bottom lip trembled. When Spike finally spoke his voice was so soft and child like Xander wanted to hug him.

"Really, you love me?"

"Yes, William I Xander Harris love you."

Spike started crying again, but these were tears of joy and he wrapped his arms around Xander repeating 'I love you' over and over to the boy. He was so happy he didn't even know how they wound up back at Xander's new apartment. They made love all night long and just before they drifted off to sleep they kissed and said "I love you," to each other.
