Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Slayer and Shadow
Introduction

It all began with just a simple little wish....

Cordelia Chase, feeling unreasoningly angry over all the twists and turns her life had recently taken , angrily blurted out that, "I wish that Buffy had never come to Sunnydale!" Sadly, she did so with a vengeance demon called Anyanka standing nearby, who granted her that wish, and in that instant remade their entire world.

Sunnydale was transformed into a vampire ruled city, the army of undead lead by Buffy's old enemy the Master. Willow and Xander, once heroic champions, were vampire servants of the Master, torturing the heroic vampire Angel for their own amusement. A rag-tag band of vampire slayers lead by Rupert Giles tried to oppose the Master, but their efforts were mostly futile.

Calling upon a scarred and bitter Vampire Slayer named Buffy they prepared for a final battle against the Master's forces even as Giles worked feverishly to undo the wish that had created that dark world. The Master slew Buffy in battle with his bare hands, even as the rag-tag vampire slayers fell all around them. Ironically Willow was slain by Oz, who was her lover in the true Sunnydale, even as Giles shattered the crystal of power belonging to Anyanka.

In an instant the city and people of Sunnydale was all restored to normal, and that should have been the end of it.

But Anyanka, now simply calling herself Anya, desperately wanted to regain her lost power. Calling upon Willow's wiccan assistance she tried to reach into that 'wish-verse' to retrieve her crystal and regain her lost powers. They failed in the attempt, but unknowingly they had brought something back into the regular Sunnydale with them.

The vampire version of Willow had come to Sunnydale, generating confusion and chaos wherever she went. Gathering up a small force of hench-vamps, she sought to make this world like the one she had come from, but Buffy and her friends managed to round her up fairly quickly. But the vamp Willow was a disturbing revelation to the merry band, with her clear interest in the female of the species and very kinky sexual nature.

With Giles' assistance Willow reversed the enchantment, and after getting in a bit of a friendly grope of her much more innocent counterpart, vamp Willow went on home. Willow's boyfriend Oz eventually left her, and after a period of grieving Willow fell in love again, this time with a woman and fellow wiccan who was named Tara. Their lives went on, their love was challenged, broken, and ultimately restored before Tara was tragically slain.

In the fan-fiction Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Itsumo means Forever, Willow has returned to Sunnydale to guard over the First evil, who was contained behind the new Hellmouth seal by Buffy, Spike and Anya's heroic sacrifice in their final battle. Willow was still in shock over the return of Tara, and taking advantage of this the servants of the First conjured up the vampire Willow, hoping that she could slay her twin in battle.

While Willow discovered that her combat magics couldn't directly effect her vampire twin, she could quite effectively contain her using more common magic spells. At Faith's suggestion they were able to restore the soul of the vampiress, and then they returned her home, unknowingly setting a new chain of events in motion.

In the series Slayer and Shadow, the vampiress and the Slayer worked together, forging a bond of friendship. But time passed, and both Willow and Buffy began to feel a.. deeper attraction. Denying their obvious chemistry they continued onward, until Buffy made a bold move to make Willow understand the depths of her feelings..
