Chapter 9

The Powers That Be

"I told her it was about time. Did you know she's been in love with him since Kindergarten?" Buffy asked.

Xander sighed as he closed the door behind Buffy and Spike. "You hungry Will?" He asked turning to her. "No, I'm ready for bed.." She said suggestively, walking up to Xander and placing a chaste kiss on his lips. "Kinda nervous." She said shakily taking a deep breath. "There's nothing to be nervous about Will." Xander said pulling her into his embrace. "Xander the last time I was in your bed we were in footie pajamas" Willow said nervously. "I am in love with you.and if you're not ready we can wait. There's all the time in the world." Xander said passionately. "You are? You really are?" Willow questioned looking into his eyes "Willow, I really do. I wouldn't say something like that if it wasn't true. I love you Willow Rosenburg, and I feel like such a fool for not knowing before, I have been in love with you for a long time. I just didn't realize it before. You were and still are my best friend that makes my love for you un-breakable, strong, like a diamond. You are my diamond. The only bright sparkling part of my life." He said softly as he leaned in to kiss her. "Oh Xander I love you so much." Willow started to say as tears started to roll down her face. "Baby don't cry. It's ok." Xander said brushing away her tears Willow pulled his face down to hers and kissed him deeply. "I have to go to the bathroom, meet you in the bedroom?" She asked Shyly. Xander nodded and started off for his bedroom. Once inside he prepared, lighting lavender incense and a couple of candles he had on his dresser. He went over to his bed, turned the blankets down and sat comfortably on the bed. There was a soft knock before Willow entered. He sucked in his breath as he saw her. She walked slowly over to the bed where her love sat, he stood to meet her and tilted her chin up to look into her eyes. "You are amazing, you are the most beautiful thing I've ever seen." He said, his voice thick with emotion. She started to unbutton his shirt and let it fall loosely to the floor. Xander undid the laces on her bodice and let it fall to the floor; he laid her gently on the bed and took off his pants. He then lay down beside her stroking her stomach with his fingertips as he gently pressed kisses into her neck. He stroked the tops of her breasts and she sighed contentedly. Xander worked his way down to her nipple and took it into his mouth as his fingers made their wayer oer on her body. He slipped a finger inside of her and she moaned. "Oh Xander that feels so good" She said moving against him. Willow placed her hand tentatively on his manhood and started stroking his hardness lightly. Willow grabbed his head and pulled him up for a kiss. Xander's finger worked in and out of her relentlessly, and he stroked her clit with his thumb. Willow shuddered and shouted "Xander" At her release. She started stroking him with more intensity. Trying to hint to him that she was ready. "Willow wait I need to get a condom." Xander whispered in a strained voice. As he had it on Xander parted her thighs gently and slipped between them. "I'll take it slow baby this might hurt a bit." Xander said placing himself at her opening. "Xander I love you so much" Willow said her voice full of emotion. "I love you to Willow." Xander said pushing in slightly and leaning down to kiss her. Willow thrust her hips up to meet him and moaned from the pain. Xander stopped all the way inside her and gave her a second to adjust to him. "Ok now Baby?" She only nodded and started moving against him. They spent the rest of the night gently making love.

****++++**** "Oh my god Will are you serious?" Buffy asked happy for her friend. "Yeah, it was awesome." Willow was giddy. "Well I'm happy for you. You deserve to be happy." Buffy said smiling. "I've never been this happy in my life." Willow said with a grin. "So you guys gonna baby sit tonight?" Buffy asked. "Of course. Tara is so sweet. I just love her so much." "Thanks Willow, So do I. I've never been this happy either. I don't think I would have ever been happy without Spike." Buffy smiled.

Buffy and Spike were walking through a cemetery later that night; they were patrolling every night now. Kendra and Robin had left for Cleveland two days ago. There was a hellmouth there. And it was big time active. "Well you'd think there would be something out here I could kill, you know like a welcome back present." Buffy pouted "That lip, gonna get it." Spike said leaning in for a kiss. They were interrupted when they heard a scream and ran towards the source. They spotted a man leaning over a woman who was lying on the ground. "NOOOOOOO." They heard they guy screaming "PLEASE NO." "What happened here?" Buffy asked "That's my wife, something attacked her and then it disappeared." The guy said sadly. "I tried to stop it I just couldn't, it was to fast, I didn't even really see it." "Is she?" She asked Spike as he leaned over her to check for a pulse. I've got a pulse, it's weak but it's there." Spike said grimly. "We need to get her to the hospital."

As Buffy and Spike left the hospital they saw a bright flash of light kind of like lightning but not. "What was that?" Buffy asked Suddenly there was a couple standing in front of them "Buffy and Spike?" The couple asked at the same time their voices blending together to make one beautiful voice. "We are the Powers that be. We have something to show you." All of a sudden they were teleported into a pure white room with the strange couple. "The things we are about to show you, you don't know anymore. You did once but something changed. You need to see it. Something is coming, something bad, if you understand the past, the future may be saved." "Why us?" "Because you are the cause. You are the last guardian of the hellmouth. You must stop it."
