Chapter Nine

Author's Note: You guys remember all that Angel angst I mentioned… well guess what it’s a coming! SO BEWARE TO ALL YOU ANGEL LOVERS… I love him myself but for the purpose of this fiction we must cause more pain for the ensouled vampire. Also Buffy never slept with Parker, he try to get her into bed and she refused so he lied about their sexual exploits, okay I think that’s it
Chapter Nine – The Powers
# # # # #
Both sister and brother looked down on to the Watcher and the Srs frs friends with a curious eye. They already knew that the band of misfits would be too late to prevent what was about to occur but they had to try. So they felt no need to detour them from their quest.
Numerous changes were about to take place and no one could stop them. Not the Watcher or ensouled vampire. Everything that has happened and will happen for a reason, this particular group of people weren’t just thrown together haphazardly. It was hard to believe that the powers hand picked each of them and interwove each destiny with the fate of the world.
The oracles and all the higher powers at first were beyond skeptical and that there was no chance any of them would succeed in facing an apocalyptic battle and winning let alone all of them surviving was all thought to be highly unlikely.
The female turned her back toward the reflection pool, unlike her brother she’s followed the young Slayer’s story a lot more closely and though knowing what was about to happen didn’t make it any easier. If she had a human heart it would’ve broken at the tragedy that was about to befall this universe’s favored warriors.

There was no time and no space. It was an empty nothingness. The Powers That Be resided there. They felt, heard and saw all that went on earth below them. They could feel the female oracles distress. They could feel all of the emotions crash through them that belonged to the Watcher and all of the Slayer’s friends but most of all they could feel the ensouled vampire’s feelings. And there was nothing but rage, hate, angry and pain. The dark vampire’s dead heart was breaking at the knowledge this Sis Slayer was no longer his.
A feeling of remorse came over the ethereal beings. Though for only a moment they felt bad for their actions and all the pain they caused but as soon as the emotion surfaced it was bu onc once more. There was no time to let one self cling to human emotions and regrets. It wasn’t the way. Though for some reason they couldn’t help the tears that began to fall from the sky and soak the earth.
