Chapter 9
(((Okay so this chapters kinda boring, but don’t worry, the next one is where the shit starts. Although I know I’ll get complaints about it. Hmmm let me pretend to care... *time passes* okay done. Hehe. Yeah anyway, bear threw this.)))
[ -- Chapter 9 -- ]
“Get up!” Buffy yelled as she shook me roughly.
“Huh? What?” I ask sleepily, trying to bat her hands away from me.
“Giles wants us at the Magic Shop in an hour. So wake the hell up!” she shook me again.
I open my eyes a little wider and try to focus on Buffy. She looked angry, Buffy the bitch was back. Not that I expected any different but there was a little bit of hope that she’d treat me a little nicer after her apology yesterday. But wishes don’t come true, I should know.
“Alright, alright. Just go away,” I answer. I may be in love with Buffy, but I don’t enjoy taking her shit, especially in the morning.
“Don’t tell me to go away, this is -my- house!”
“Fine, sorry,” I mumble and get out of bed, letting the corners fall from my naked body.
“Faith!” she yelled, putting a hand over her eyes, “For Gods sake put some clothes on!”
“Buffy!” I say, mimicking her, “For Gods sake this is how I sleep!”
“Don’t mimic me!” She yelled a took her hand away to glare at me. But the glare ended as soon as it started as her eyes roamed over my body. She then snapped out of it and put her hand over her eyes again, “Fuck! Just put some clothes on!”
“B, chill. Not like you haven’t seen a naked woman before,” I roll my eyes.
“Yeah but its -you-!” Her hand never left her eyes.
I quirk an eyebrow, “There’s a difference between my naked body and another woman’s?”
“Just shut up!” She yelled and stomped out of the room. I had to laugh at that.
I took a quick shower and headed downstairs after I got dressed. I decided to put on a barely there tank top and my shortest workout shorts, just to bother Buffy. I really do miss those days where I made her fell all uncomfortable with anything remotely sexual. I might never get B in that way, but I should at least have fun trying.
She looked up at me from her breakfast when I walked into the kitchen and did a double take. “Er, Faith? What are you wearing and why?”
“They’re my workout clothes, jeez.” I pour myself a cup coffee.
“You could at least wear something that covers more.” She said, noticing my breasts are practically popping out of my shirt.
“Why? Makin you uncomfortable, B?” I ask, smirking. I take a sip of coffee.
“No! But it is rather distracting. We’re training Faith, not picking up guys.”
“Who said anything about picking up a -guy-?” I ask, raising an eyebrow.
“Faith, I don’t want you like that. I’m not sure if I even want you as a friend right now.”
“Chill girlfriend, I never said I was wearing it for you."
I think I got Buffy mad by saying that, “Whatever, we’re leaving now.” She stormed past me and out the door and I smirk, putting down my coffee, and follow.
We got to the Magic Box about ten minutes later. Buffy opened the door and made it bang against the wall, causing everyone to jump. “Lets train,” she said to Giles and walked past him into the back room. I think she wants a chance to kick my ass. Oh yay. Note sarcasm.
Giles followed her, quite confused. Everyone just stared at me and I started to feel a little uncomfortable, I shift my weight a little and looked down at the ground.
“You are not going over there,” I heard Willow whisper to, who I guess, was Tara. I didn’t look up to confirm it and pretended like I couldn’t hear them.
“Willow please, I would like to talk to her. I know y-you don’t like her but...” she trailed off and I heard her get up. I look up as she approaches me.
“Hey,” I say.
“H-Hi. How’s your stay with B-Buffy?”
“Not so good,” I answer and look down again.
“Why?” She asked and sat down, motioning for me to do the same.
I sigh, “She hates me, not that I blame her. She keeps yelling, slamming things, and fucking with my head.”
“She’s playing with your head?” She asked, and furrowed her brow. “How?”
I look around, everyone was staring, listening. “Its no big.” I start playing with my hands, trying to stop the blush that was forming on my cheeks.
“Why is she mad now?”
“My outfit? I’m not even sure. B’s confusing.” I shrug it off and continue playing with my hands.
Tara was about to reply when we heard Buffy yell, “FAITH!” really loud, and really angry, from inside the training room.
I get up, “I, uh, gotta go...” I retreat from one awkward situation to be greeted by another shitty one.
I walk in and Giles clears his throat, “Um, yes. Well, start with some sparring, girls. I’ll be back in a moment.” He hurriedly left, probably afraid to be caught in the cross fire.
Buffy got into a fighting stance, “Okay -F-, bring it.”
