A Watchers love

“Buffy it’s not just your friends, it…it’s wrong pet. Can’t you see how wrong it is? A Slayer in love with a vampire? This Vampire, the slayer of Slayers The very thing she’s supposed to loathe and kill.”

“I don’t care Spike I love you.” She grabbed his face and turned it back towards her “No Spike look at me. Why won’t you see me? Why can’t you let me love you? Please try Spike? That’s all I’m asking.”


“I…I think your friends and your watcher know…that there’s something between us. I will try Slayer, I realized… I …think maybe one day…it could be love…maybe it already was and I was just not ready to …admit I …I think I do love you Buffy.” Spike said softly, as he leaned towards her for a kiss.

Spike rolled off of Buffy and pulled her close against his side.
“Spike? What happened tonight?” Buffy asked quietly.

“Do you remember anything?” Spike asked


“I remember Dru, She was talking to me, and before I could react she …I …that’s as far as I get…”

“Well she decided if she ate you all up I would love her again….I …I hurt her really bad. Not sure if she’s dead or njustjust had to protect you.” Spike said shrugging. “I think I went a little wiggy.” Spike said using a Buffy word without realizing it.

Buffy’s stomach rumbling stopped any further discussion of the matter.” Let’s get you downstairs and fed so I can ravish you again. Spike said softly.

“I want to finish this discussion after ok?” Buffy asked

“Yes luv, I am your willing slave” Spike said leaping from the bed and bowing to her.

“Well…that could come in handy…” Buffy giggled

“Guess we’ll both need some clothes though…can’t go downstairs naked…” Spike said leering suggestively at her. “Or we’ll end up on the floor with some nasty rug burn before we even make it to the kitchen.”

“Here throw these on.” She said rummaging through her drawer and tossing him a big baggy pair of gray sweats.

Buffy pulled on a pair of sweats and a tank top. They made their way downstairs.

Buffy walked into the livingroom holding Spike’s hand. She saw the faces of all of her friends and her watcher looking curiously at her. Not disgusted…just well kind of…a little scared. BuffBuffy? Are you alright?” Giles asked. She could hear the concern in his voice.

“Yeah…I’m alright…why are you all here?” She asked looking at Spike questioningly.

“They came pet, after you were knocked out…I wouldn’t let them get near you…I think they’re just concerned.” Spike said softly, still holding tightly to her hand.

“Buffy we were concerned…the way Spike reacted when you were unconscious, he …growled at us…he was protecting you…although I don’t know why he wouldn’t let your friends help you. Or why for that matter he was so protective of you.” Giles stated.

“I-It’s n-not that he wouldn’t l-let us help he j-j-just wanted to help you on his own…” Tara said softly.

“Yeah well he had me pretty wigged…I…” Xander was cut off

“So that’s why you were all vampy when I woke up?” Buffy asked looking at Spike

“Yeah well sorry about that I …” Spike was cut off

“Spike don’t ever apologize for going vampy in front of me…when I say I love you I mean all of you… vampy or not…I love all of you.” Buffy said passionately, pulling him in for a chaste kiss.

“Buffy you are in love with him?” Xander squeeked.

“Yes I am. Completely.” She said turning to Xander “Anyone got a problem with that?” She asked defiantly.“ Giles?” She questioned

“No Buffy, your decisions in your personal life are your own. I trust your judgement completely.” Giles said looking directly into her eyes. “I know you can trust Spike. I trust him too…I think you really are perfect for each other, he …completes you…he is your other half. I have been researching this very topic since you decided to patrol together and I have found some very interesting things.”

“Giles…thank you…you don’t know what that means to me.” Buffy said tears welling up in her eyes threatening to fall. “After I have something to eat will you tell me what you have found?”

“Of course Buffy. I was going to tell you earlier…but then with what happened…”

“Oh god Buffy…you got bitten…did Dru bite you?” Willow asked.

“No” Buffy said blushing deep crimson “That was Spike…I wanted him too.” She added quickly when she saw the look that passed over Xander’s face.

“But the chip? Did it stop working?” Xander asked.

“No, Xander it works on intent. He wasn’t trying to hurt me…”

A look of understanding passed over Anya’s face “He claimed you…didn’t he?”

“I…I don’t know…Spike?” Buffy asked looking into his eyes.

“I did.” He said quietly.

“What…what does that mean?” Willow asked

“It means she belongs to him. It means no other Vampire will bite her ever…as long as the claim stands…it means he loves her…there are so many things it means.” Anya stated. “There’s a lot more to it. I don’t know everything.”

“Yes that was part of what I had found in my research, that a slayer who has been claimed …lives longer than one…who hasn’t” Giles said

“What does it mean Spike?” Buffy asked him

“That you are .” S.” Spike said simply.

Buffy’s stomach growled again “Let’s move to the kitchen so I can feed my girl.” Spike said starting off towards the kitchen and pulling Buffy along behind him.

Long after everyone went home, Buffy and Spike went upstairs to have a shower. Together. “Spike I love you so much…I can’t believe how happy you make me…I want to be with you for the rest of my life…” Buffy said curling up against him under the hot spray of the water.

“I love you Buffy.” Spike stated pulling her mouth to his for a kiss. When the kiss broke Buffy trailed light kisses up his neck, “Let’s hurry up and finish rinsing off, I want to make love to you.” She whispered in his ear.

Buffy crawled up his body, licking indiscriminate places ever so softly. Buffy paused where his succulent cock was waiting to be taken into her mouth. “Spike I love you…” Buffy said leaning down and running her tongue over his neck. Buffy grazed her blunt teeth lightly on his neck and Spike shuddered under her. Buffy bit down on his neck hard. Drawing blood, she licked it away. “Mine” She moaned into his ear.

Spike couldn’t take it he flipped her over and thrust into her deeply, and spilled his cold seed into her, sinking his fangs into the mark on her neck, taking a pull on her blood then salving her wound with his tongue “Mine” He growled into her ear. Sending Buffy into an earth shattering orgasm.

The phone ringing incessantly woke them up.
“This had better be good.” Buffy growled into the phone.
“Buffy, honey is that you?”

“Mom?” Buffy asked coming instantly awake

“Yes sweetie it’s me…I’m coming home early…I’ll be home in two days…is everything alright? It took you a long time to get to the phone.” Joyce said concern in her voice.

“Yeah Mom, I’m fine…I was sleeping.” Buffy replied sheepishly.

“At four o’clock in the afternoon?”

“Yeah…had a long night…I’ll tell you all about it when you get home.” Buffy replied.
