"Let's go to bed and get some sleep Spike." said Angel. "You can figure out what to do about your father tomorrow."
"Ok, but keep your hands to yourself." Spike joked.
Spike tried to relax on his half of the bed. He really did, but he kept remembering how nice it was to be curled up next to Angel.
Spike knew that Angel was using him to save his pride. But Angel was also being very supportive about the situation with his Da. He teased Angel about keeping his hands to himself, but he wasn't sure any more if that's what he wanted. Maybe Angel wouldn't mind if they woke up spooned together.
Angel woke up with Spike's head on his shoulder. It was nice not waking up alone. He would like to stay this way for awhile, but he didn't want to deal with Spike's angry embarrassment when he woke up. So he gently slipped out of bed and got ready for the evening.
Damn, why did he have to wake up so soon? I was comfortable. "What time is it?" said Spike.
"Almost dinner time." said Angel.
"Do you think he will be there?" asked Spike.
'Yes. But don't embarrass yourself. Just try to be polite. You don't want to ruin everyone else’s dinner." said Angel.
"I won't say a word to him." said Spike.
True to his word, Spike ignored his Da during the entire dinner. As far as Spike was concerned his Da really was dead.
"Alright, I have had enough of this nonsense!" said Giles. "Do please grow up Spike. Buffy is with Franklin now. Get over it and try to be civil."
"Rupert I understand this is your home and I respect that. However, this has nothing to do with Buffy, so please stay out of it." said the Immortal.
"Then would someone kindly tell me what IS going on?" said an exasperated Giles.
"Alright. Not that it is any of your bleeding business, but that wanker sitting over there is my father. He abandoned me and my mother when I was ten." ranker dripped from Spike's tone.
"Let's go Spike." said Angel avoiding everyone’s shocked gazes. "We will find somewhere else to stay."
"No! I will go. You both are safer here. William, I would like to work this out with you. Tell you why I did what I did. When your ready." the Immortal offered before he left the group.
