“I’m gonna kill him!” Faith growled.

“W-who?” Dru sniffled.

“Spike…is this why he broke up with you?” Faith questioned.

“It’s not William’s. He’s not mine anymore.” Dru said softly. “I’m six weeks pregnant Faith…there’s no way…the last time I was with him was three months ago…He broke up with me cause I cheated on him.”

We both said things…I felt like such a fool, you see my father had gotten me an apartment for my birthday, Spike told me he had to leave the country, that his father was making him…after four years, and all the plans we made I was losing him and there wasn’t a damned thing I could do about it.” Dru took a deep breath and glanced at Faith.

“The guy you cheated with got you pregnant?” Faith asked.

“No…it was after that. I went to a club…it was Christmas eve and I met someone…I was realonelonely, cause you see the night I cheated on Spike…it was just the one time. I had never don bef before…I was miserable that he was leaving…I went out and got drunk and ended up having…having sex with…more than one person…when Spike walked in there was…” Tears started again.

“It’s ok Dru…I’ve done that myself…had a few too many and gotten into situations I wish I hadn’t… but hey…you can’t change the past right?”

Dru nodded and continued. “So anyways…Christmas eve… I went to this club and met this guy…Charles. He was so sweet…god Faith when I met him…it was like everything just stopped…We talked all night and I invited him back to my place. We spent the next week together and it was amazing. Do you believe in love at first sight?”

“Yeah…I do…I’m a romantic at heart…” Faith smiled. “So what happened with Mr. Wonderful?”

“Well…I wanted him to meet Daddy…so I took him there for dinner one night. We were having a great time. Then after dinner…he just changed. He came back to my place and told me he was wrong…he didn’t…love me…he said he lied…” Dru’s breath was coming in fits and starts, big fat tears rolling down her cheeks.

Faith wrapped her arms around the sobbing girl and waited for her to calm. “What do you think happened? Why would he just change like that?” Faith questioned when she had calmed.

“I don’t know...he just…He said I should stick with the guy I was with before cause he really loved me…He meant William…” Dru looked into Faith’s eyes. “And then I came here and found out that my sweet William had found his true love.” Dru whispered. If Faith wasn’t sitting so close to the girl she would have missed the whispered words.

“If Buffy’s his true love why did you stay?” Faith asked.

“I didn’t know it at first…but I did realize it. I have for a while now…and I also got to know you Faith.” Dru murmured. “You are the only true female friend I’ve ever had.”

Faith felt tears coursing down her cheeks. “I feel the same way Dru. You don’t judge me when I sleep and flirt with different guys…you’ve always just been my friend.”

“Thank you…for being there for me…” Dru said softly. “I don’t know what I’d do without you.”

“You’ll always have me as a friend. Even if you go home.” Faith said softly. “Are you gonna tell the father?”

“I don’t know…why would he would just…”

“Was anyone else there at the dinner? Did he find something? Like a picture of you and Spike?” Faith asked.

Dru shook her head. “It was just me and them…He didn’t leave the dining room…” Dru’s eyes suddenly widened. “Oh god…I left him alone with my father…when I went to the loo..”

“Do you think you’re dad said something to him?” Faith asked.

“Only one way to find out…” Dru said getting up from her seat and walking slowly to the phone.

“How about we go to an afternoon movie?” She asked. “Then we can come back here and make love before we get ready for the bronze tonight…”

“Ok We better hurry then…all of the movies start in about an hour…”

“Daddy? I need to ask you something.” Dru was trembling.

“What is it? You sound upset…”

“Did you say or do something to Charles to make him leave me?” Dru questioned. By the sharp intake of breath on the other end of the line she had her answer.

“Baby…I’m so sorry…I thought I was doing it for your own good…when you brought him here I saw how shabbily he was dressed…I took it upon myself to offer him a million eruo’s to leave and never return…I thought he was after our money…but I came to realize today as a matter of fact…that isn’t the case…He loves you…”

Dru was standing there holding the phone to her ear and Faith was worried, She looked to be swaying a little so Faith walked over and guided her to a chair. Dru accepted gratefully. She couldn’t hear the father’s end of the conversation, but from the look on Dru’s face…

“He’s here honey…He didn’t cash the cheque…He hadn’t had the courage until today to return here and appoligise…But I do believe he wants you back…Will you talk to him?”

“Yes…” Dru whispered. She closed her eyes and listened as his voice came over the line.

“Dru? Baby is that you? I’ve missed you so much…I’m on my way darling…I’ll be there next week. I’ll have you in my arms soon…” Charles said softly into the phone.

“You went there today? Why?” Dru asked.

“I needed to see you…I wanted to tell you I was sorry…I tried calling at your place but the line was disconnected…”

“So you’re coming?” She asked.

“Yes. I’ve gotten a transfer there… Your Father and I have had a lengthly discussion. I promise you darling no one will interfere again…”

Faith watched the happiness play over Dru’s features.

“Ok. So there are some thing’s we need to get you…Let’s go…” Faith pulled Dru to her feet. She couldn’t wipe the smile from her face. ~ He’s coming for me. ~

They walked into the drugstore giggling happily. “How do you know I need all this Faith? The doctor didn’t say anything…” Dru motioned to the contents of the cart Faith was pushing.

“I just know…My sister h bab baby two months ago…He’s a doll, but he keeps me up half the night. That’s why I’m so tired all the time…”

“Oh…” Dru smiled. “Ok…so what else?” Dru asked.

“Last thing is vitamins, they keep those behind the counter.” Faith walked towards the cashier, Dru trailing behind. She asked the cashier for some prenatal vitamins, and placed the rest of the tings on the counter. She took out her wallet and paid for the items.

Her and Dru walked happily from the store, both carrying a couple bags, neither one of them noticed the young man gasping for breath in the next isle. He had heard Faith ask for prenatal vitamins and freaked right out. He gulped in a few deep breaths and ran from the store, the box of condoms he was about to buy left lying on the floor. One thought ringing through his head. ~ HOLY SHIT FAITH IS PREGNANT! Just wait till everyone hears about this…Parker is fucked!!! ~
