Part 11

Buffy smiled at Riley as they drove back to her house. She'd really had a
great time. He was absolutely perfect she she couldn't be happier then she
was at that moment. As they pulled up to her driveway, Buffy felt
butterflies in her stomach all of a sudden. She waited as he walked around
the SUV and opened her door for her. They walked up to her door hand in hand
and stood there quietly for a few minutes, just enjoying each other's
company. Neither noticed how the other’s eyes were wandering around the area,
making sure there were no threats.

"I had a really nice time tonight." Buffy smiled up at him.

"So did I." Riley smiled back.

They stood there staring at one another and it seemed like the most natural
thing in the world as their faces inched toward one another and their lips
met in the most gentle of kisses. Riley pulled away after a moment and
looked down into her beautiful hazel eyes He couldn't get enough of her. He
felt like it was just so right, being with her in this way. He smiled at her
and hoping he wasn't over stepping his boundaries leaned in for another kiss.

Buffy melted into his arms. He felt so good to her and she was so happy he
had taken the opportunity to kiss her. They hadn't touched besides holding
hands all night and while she thought it was sweet she wanted more. Knowing
he wouldn't make the next move, Buffy opened her mouth to and and invited his
tongue in to play with hers. She sighed happily as he took the invitation,
his tongue stroking against hers and setting off wonderful feelings that shot
down to her toes.

Riley almost pulled back in shock as he felt her tongue licking his lips.
He'd been content with the closed mouth kisses they were sharing, but as he
opened his mouth and met her tongue in a battle for dominance he realized
this was better. Normally he wouldn't have made such a move on the first
date. But he quickly realized he didn't mind. There was just something
about this girl that made him want to lose control.

Pulling away they both gasped for breath.

"So can I see you again?" Riley asked.

"Well I don't know, I think I should check something first."

Riley stared at her for a moment before he finally understood what she meant.
Smiling as she pulled him down for another kiss.

"Yes, I defiantly want to see you again." Buffy purred.

"Good, I was hoping you'd say that." Riley said, pulling her into him for one
last kiss.

"So I'll call you tomorrow?"

"I hope so."

Riley smiled and nodded, "I will."

Buffy nodded and opened the door. "Night."

"Goodnight." Riley said, leaning in and brushing a light kiss against her
cheek.

Buffy walked inside and closed the door. She stood there for a moment until
she head the car pull away before running upstairs.

Angel broke away from the heavy kissing session he and Willow were sharing as
the phone rang off the hook.

*This better be good.* Angel thought to himself.

Picking up the phone, Angel growled, "What?"

Buffy laughed and shook her head. " Angel, is Willow there?"

"Buffy, hi." Angel said sheepishly.

"Hi, so is she there?"

"Yes, she's here, hold on."

Angel handed the phone to Willow and sat next to her on the couch. " It's
Buffy."

Willow grabbed the phone and put the receiver up to her. \r. "Buffy?!"

"Hey s."s."

"What happened?" Willow asked, smiling as Angel rubbed her free hand, before bring it up to his mouth for a light kiss.

"Lots. He's so nice Will. We talked about anything and everything. He
kissed me! Oh my god, he's such a great kisser. I thought I was gonna pass
out."

"Really that's so cool!" Willow exclaimed excitedly.

The girls talked for a few minutes, Buffy telling Willow all about her date
and the promise of another to come soon.llowllow was excited for her friend.
Things were working out great. Buffy was happy and she was happy. This was
wonderful. After they ended their phone call Willow looked at Angel and
smiled.

"She had a great time."

"I heard."

"Huh? Oh right vampire hearing."

Angel smiled and nodded. "Well I guess I better get you home now."

Willow looked down at her watch and noticed it was still stuck on 3:00. She
shook her head and took it off.

"Well, I guess it's kinda late. My watch is still stuck."

Angel took the watch from her and nodded. "It's almost midnight."

"Wow, time flies when you're having fun."

Angel smiled slightly, pulling her into a passionate embrace. "I'd say so."

Part 12

The next day Riley walked out of the elevator and made his way through the
Initiative to Professor Walsh's office. Knocking quietly on the door he
sighed as he was told to come in. He had no idea why the professor wanted to
see him. He'd been typing his report on Buffy when Graham had entered his
dorm room, telling him he was needed down stairs. He wasn't sure what was
going on but he just knew it wasn't good.

"Ah, yes, Agent Finn. I understand you were on a…date last night?" Professor
Walsh asked, looking up from her paperwork.

"Yes, ma'am." Riley said, standing in front of her desk.

"How did it go?"

"Very well." Riley answered, staring straight ahead.

"Good, now did you find anything out about Miss Summers?"

"Only that she appears to be a normal teenage girl, ma’am "

"I see." Maggie said, leaning in on her desk, clearly not happy with this response.

"She’s a senior at Sunnydale High and lives with her mother on Revello
Drive. Her parents divorced a few years ago and they moved here from L.A. She
doesn't seem to have many friends. I've met two, Willow Rosenberg and a boy
named Xander. Willow is seeing another of their friends but so far nothing
else on Xander."

"I see. Good work Finn. I expect a written report on my desk by this
afternoon." Writing something in her folder.

"Yes, ma'am."

"Good. Now I'm sure you can find out more for me Agent Finn. Do you have plans with her tonight?" Maggie asked, leaning back in her chair.

"No, ma’am, not as of right now."

"Ok, I expect her followed when you're not with her. Have either Agent Milleor Gor Gates tail her. They are still included on this mission. Now you are
dismissed."

Riley nodded and left the office. Sighing he made his way back toward the
elevator. There was nothing going on with this girl. He knew that, yet
Professor Walsh was failing to see that. He'd never had doubts or thought
bad about the Initiative before, but there was something going on. Why was
Maggie so interested in Buffy? Because she was in the cemetery? No, there was
something else going on. Maybe it was just because he was starting to have
feelings for the petite blonde. It just didn't make sense to him; did she
know something he didn't know?

"Ri, what's up?" Forrest asked, as Riley stepped out of the elevator.

"Hey, Forrest. I just had a meeting with Walsh. She couldn't wait for my
written report this afternoon, so I had to give her details in person." Riley
said as they continued down to the kitchen.

"Well, she just wato kto know what's up with this chick. I mean even you have
to admit it's kinda weird she was in the cemetery, alone, in the middle of
the night."

"I do. It's just I don't think there is any reason to tail her. She's a
senior in high school. What could possibly be so dangerous about her? She's
not a vamp. Even if our sensors were wrong that night, I took her out in the
middle of the afternoon. I just don't get it." Riley said shaking his head.

"I don't know man, just be careful. She's just an assignment, remember that."
Forrest said patting his friend on the back before turning to make himself
breakfast.

Riley shook his head and continued with his own meal. She's more then an
assignment, he thought to himself. Much more.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Willow sat up in bed, gasping for air. She wasn't sure if she'd had a
nightmare but it certainly wasn't a good dream. Everything had happened in
flashes. She saw herself the night she was attacked. Then she saw Angel and
the demon fighting, after she'd been knocked out and after that, lights.
Bright lights that had blinded her for a moment before her eyes had gotten
used to them. She heard people calling out her name. Angel telling her he was
sorry. She tried to ask him what was wrong. What was he sorry for but he
didn't answer. She heard Buffy and Xander, but their words were mumbled and
she couldn't understand them. It made no sense.

She got out of bed and quickly made her way into the bathroom. After
splashing some water on her face, she looked up at the mirror. She looked
like she hadn't slept at all that night. Her eyes were puffy with dark
circles under them and her body felt exhausted. Sighing to herself she turned
the water on and set it for her shower. Quickly undressing, she stepped under
the hot spray and felt her body start to relax. The dream seemed to fade away
and she could no longer remember what exactly it was about anymore.

Willow stepped out of the shower and wrapped herself in a dark blue bath
towel. Quickly making her way into her room she stopped in front of her
closet and tried to decide what to wear. Nothing seemed to be jumping out at
her. She settled for her normal attire and after getting dressed she made her
way back into the bathroom to do her hair.

A half hour later found Willow just sitting down to eat breakfast. Pouring
herself a bowl of cereal she proceeded to eat. A few minutes later the phone
rang. Sighing she got up and answered it.

"Hello?"

"Hey Wills, you almost ready?"

"Yea Buffy, I'm just finishing my breakfast."

"Ok so I'm going over to Xander's to get him and we'll be over your house in
say 10 minutes?"

"Sounds good."

"Ok, see you then."

Willow hung the phone up and cleaned up her mess. Running upstairs, she made
her bed and got her books in order. After packing them in her bag, she headed
downstairs just as the doorbell rang. Opening the door she smiled at her
friends.

"Hey guys."

"Hey wills." They chorused.

The three friends slowly made their way to school, while talking and catching
up.

Part 13

“So Will, what did you do yesterday?” Buffy asked, with a smirk as the entered the library.

“I watched a movie.”

“All day?” Xander asked, his mouth full of Twinkie.

“Chew Xand!” Buffy laughed.

“No not all day. We watched a movie and then we did other stuff and Angel made me dinner and…”

“Other stuff? What other stuff? Other stuff like playing cards or shoots and ladders or something right? Not other stuff like kissing and doing grown up other stuff? Right?” Xander asked in a hurry.

Willow smiled to herself and sat down on at the table.

“Wills.” Xander whined. “C’mon you’re not supposed to do grown up stuff. That’s for...well grown ups.”

“Xander shut up. Willow can do grown up stuff if she wants to.”

Willow slowly felt the blush creep up her face as she noticed the shadows start moving in the stacks. Knowing Angel was there and had heard what they were talking about made her insides all tingly.

Buffy, having noticed the movement also, decided to have some fun.

“Now Xander, it’s perfectly normal for Willow to want to do, grown up things with Angel. They are grown up enough to know what they should and shouldn’t do. So just because Willow wants to suck face with Angel doesn’t mean she’s doing something wrong. I’m sure she enjoyed it very much, right Will?”

“B-Buffy!”

“What?” Buffy smiled innocently.

“That’s not funny! W-What Angel and I do is our business so…hush!”

“Ok Willow, whatever you say.”

Willow slowly started to slump back into her chair. Her face was burning and she was sure it was as red as her hair. Could this get any worse? Willow thought to herself.

Just then they heard a throat clearing behind them. Quickly turning, Willow decided it could.

“Hey G-man.”

“Xander, must I tell you over and over not to call me that ridiculous name?” Giles asked, setting his cup of tea on the counter.

Xander just smiled and nodded.

“Yes, well, I should have expected that. Now, Buffy if you would be so kind as to not talk about whatever it is you were talking about before, while I’m in hearing distance I’d be very grateful.”

Willow folded her arms over the table and thumbed her head on them.

“Sure Giles.”

“Yes, thank you.”
gel, gel, knowing he should make his presence known, descended from the stacks, making sure to keep out of the sunlight. He made his way over to Willow, whose head was still on her arms. Taking a seat beside her, he pulled the chair closer and rubbed her head.

Willow picked her head up and looked over at him.

“Hi.”

“Hi.” Angel said, smiling down at her.

Xander gagged and started making faces at them as they continued to look at each other and talk quietly. Buffy rolled her eyes at his antics and turned to Giles.

“So any new baddies besides our psycho Mayor?”

“Um well… no not as of right now.”

“Great so I can Bronze it tonight?”

“Ugh well yes, I don’t see a problem with that, after you patrol of course. We must still be on the look out for Faith.” Giles said, taking his glasses off and cleaning them before putting them back on

“Of course.” Buffy said happily.

“So G-ma…I mean Giles…do we know anything else about this little shin-dig?” Xander asked, facing away from the couple.

“Well, besides that it’s happening on graduation, which we already knew then no.” Giles answered.

“So we’re still in research mode?” Buffy asked.

“Yes apparently.”

Just then the bell rang and the three had to go to class.

Willow smiled at Angel.

“I have to go to class.”

“I know.”

“So I’ll see you later, at the Bronze?”

“I’ll be there.” Angel nodded.

“O-Ok” Willow said, getting up.

Angel grabbed her hand and pulled her back. As she turned he pulled her into him so his lips met hers in a tender kiss.

Xander and Buffy who were waiting at the library doors had two very different reactions. Buffy smiled and thought it was adorable, happy that her friend was finally happy. Xander on the other hand started to make coughing and gagging sounds, which earned him a glare from Buffy. As Willow came up to them she was smiling and had a dazed look on her face.

“Well I don’t know about you, but I’ve seen my ick-factor for today.” Xander quipped.

Willow turned to him and with the smile planted firmly on her face, socked him in the shoulder.

“Ow! Wills!” Xander whined as they made their way out of the library.

Angel smiled and turned to Giles. Seeing the other man busily cleaning his glasses his smile widened and he made his way back in the stacks and out the back door before Giles realized he was gone.
