When all hope becomes lost

“Lonza…mmm. Stop.” Buffy’s inner voice was kicking her in the ass right now but she had to stop because she was dangerously close to not being able too. “Stop Lonnie, No.”

Lonza looked up at the blonde woman, her body was on fire. She wanted to feel Boofay, but the woman was saying ‘No?’…that didn’t make any sense. Only a moment ago Boofay was all but attacking her with her body. Not that Lonza minded in the least…but now she wanted to stop?

“Why?” Lonza could barely recognize her voice, when had it gotten so rough? Boofay shifted and her thigh fell more heavily into her groin, groaning at the sensation she tried to move against the blonde but was stopped when Boofay put a halting hand on her shoulder.

“I can’t. You don’t love me.” Boofay was looking at her, she was serious. What the in the name of the spirits was love? If that is what it took to get into that blonde girl in more ways than one, she would do it. That line of thinking was fine until she looked the smaller woman in the eyes. Cursing softly she pulled away.

“What is this love?” Lonza asked, maybe she had some somewhere. It shouldn’t be too hard, all she had to do was love Boofay and they could mate.

“Well, it’s hard to explain. Love is…when you can’t live without someone. When if they’re around you feel like a better person I guess. It’s a lot of things Lonnie.” Buffy paused; she liked how ‘Lonnie’ sounded. She watched as the cavewoman mulled over this new information.

“I love you.” Lonnie was pretty certain she did anyway; she thought Boofay would make a good mate. And what’s more she wanted to mate with the smaller woman. Wasn’t that love?

Smiling softly Buffy cuddled in closer to Lonza and shut her eyes, relaxing when Lonza held her softly.

*********

The next few days were tense for the two, neither talked about what happened in the cave that night. Lonza wanted nothing more than to take the woman, she quickly decided that her new favorite thing was watching the woman ‘train’…whatever that was.

In fact that was what she was doing at the moment, sitting on a log watching while her friend did a series of kicks and flips….she had never seen anything like it. It was almost as if Boofay was born doing this.

The way she moved was beautiful, fluid and agile. She moved with the grace of the spear-tooth…Lonza was transfixed by the way Boofay moved and jabbed, each move seemed to accentuate the woman’s firm muscles.

Lonza swallowed hard when Boofay kicked her leg out and she saw the blondes tan thigh muscles stand out in the light. That night in the cave had left her normally dormant urges more than awake and ready for anything the blonde would give her.

Stranding she walked to Boofay, seeing the girl turn toward her she leaned forward and kissed her on the lips, soft at first and then harder. Moaning when she felt Boofay relax and press against her.

“Lonnie…no oh god that’s good.” Buffy’s mind went foggy for a minute there when Lonnie started kissing and sucking on her neck. “Just kissing Lonnie”

“Yes, just kissing” Lonza continued along the blondes neck, feeling a small churning coil of want start low in her stomach she ran her hands up and down the blondes back, smiling when Boofay gasped as she bit softly on her collarbone.

Pulling back Buffy looked at Lonnie, smiling she brushed her hair away from her eyes. Realizing that they were getting closer to Lonnie’s village, and to the stone circle that sent her here in the first place, Buffy felt sad knowing she would have to leave soon. What then?

She didn’t know if the woman loved her, or even if she could for whatever reason but she realized as much as she wanted her to love her before they did anything more than ‘kissing’ she knew she only had so much time before she had to leave.

“Whets wrong?” Lonnie asked, leaning in she kissed Boofay softly. She could tell there was something troubling the girl.

“If…if I was to tell you where I am from. Would you believe me?” Buffy knew that this could get such a mixed reaction but she didn’t care. She briefly entertained the idea of bringing Lonnie back with her, but she knew she couldn’t. A cavewoman in modern day America? Yeah right. Besides there were so many diseases and Lonnie was human.

“There are many things I do not believe Boofay, but I will believe you.” Lonnie smiled when she saw Boofays eyes soften. Nodding softly Boofay led her back to there camp. Sitting down beside the smaller woman she leaned against a tree and wrapped her arms around Boofay.

“I don’t know for sure what happened. But the night I was captured by the horsemen I was in the forest with a friend. I’m a slayer…do you know what that is?” Lonnie shook her head no. “I’m a…hunter. I hunt demons like the ones you have here…only there are a lot more of them where im from. There used to be just me, then there was Faith and now there are thousands of them. I’m the oldest slayer to ever life, anyways…I was slaying with her and we stopped in this clearing. There were these stones set in a circle, when I stepped in the middle everything got loud and when I turned around and stepped out…I was here.” Buffy stopped when she felt Lonnie stiffen and pull away.

“You are from the spirit stones?” Lonnie was confused, those stones were forbidden. Only Old Mother and her shaman were permitted near them and only on holy days.

“Yes, im from a place thousands of years from now.”

“I do not understand…but I believe you.” Lonnie smiled at the girl, it was said that those that came from the stones were messengers from another world. She had met one, a man that had come to them when she was a child. He had spoken of lodges that reached the skies, of strange stones with tiny people inside…He had been eaten by a wild bear when she was a girl. “Do you wish to return to your world?”

“I have too, I have a family and I don’t belong here.”

“You could though, belong. You could belong with me.” Lonnie looked away, embarrassed by saying something like that.

“But you do not love me…do you?” Buffy knew it was stupid to put that as a stipulation with this woman. This word didn’t exist here but the meaning behind it she was sure did. Besides she couldn’t stay here, that was crazy. She was a California girl, she wasn’t meant to live in a place where there were giant furry elephants and vampires didn’t exist yet. Seriously she was a vampire slayer with no vampires to slay? How ironic is that?

“It is a half a moon to reach my tribe, six nights to reach the stones. I will take you Boofay.” Lonnie stood, turning she looked down at the small blonde, knowing that the woman wasn’t going to stay here with her, it pulled at her soul.

Turning she walked out of camp without looking back.

~Present Day: Faith~

It was her birthday today, she was thirty-two. God where did the time go, thank god she was still hotter that the moms at Skye’s high school AND she didn’t have to use doctors to stay that way.

The kids were getting so big, Skye was almost eighteen, and very melodramatic. The girl was bisexual like most skin-walkers and was much to Raya’s mixed delight and dismay in a word. Beautiful, hell they had been dealing with Skye’s assortment of dates since she had been fourteen. Now she was dating the school hotshot, Jamie Brookes. Who the fuck names there kid Jamie anyway?

David was eleven and he was already hitting the sullen teenager stage that she prayed was a phase. He got teased more than his brothers and sisters about his ears and teeth, Raya had been surprised that they had come in at such a young age and they were seriously discussing transferring him to the academy. Skye’s approach to any bullying she had gotten was to beat the living tar out of the bully. Which she did multiple times and they had, had to talk to her once expulsion had been brought up.

Garret and Chaye were six years old and had been terrors at the school, they had been expelled because for some unknown reason they had locked the teacher in the closet…okay so the woman was a demon, one of those harmless ones but still…cant yell at a kid for having instincts. So now they were paying out the ass to have the kids enrolled in a private school that Raya had to drive forty-five minutes away to get too.

Brigitte, well she was just turning three so, so far except for dressing Reds cat up in doll clothes she hadn’t done anything to bad. She just couldn’t believe sometimes that she had five kids and a wife that still adored her after so much time. Sure finding time to spend alone time was difficult but they always found a way.

Sitting on the back porch of her home, she turned one more time to make sure that no one was up and could give her a guilt trip about smoking. She had tried the patch but that had made her arm itch like she had rolled in poison oak. So no to that idea.

Besides she was a slayer, and according to doctors scans there was no trace of tar on her lungs whatsoever. She knew she should quit, Raya didn’t like it and neither did the kids, and being the closest thing to human in a house full of skin-walkers meant she couldn’t smell it as strongly as they could.

“Cant sleep?” Faith jumped and almost dropped her cigarette, turning she shot a glare at Dawn. Dawn just ignored the glare and came and sat down beside Faith on the porch.

“No, I just wanted to have a smoke before bed. What’re you still up? Wont Horus worry?” Faith took a long drag and looked over to Dawns house across the way, lights were out so why was Dawn still up?

“I just got to thinking about Buffy and decided to take a walk.” Dawn smiled bitterly; it had been particularly hard on her when Buffy disappeared.

“Yeah, we’ll find her Dawn. Someday we will. Well never stop looking, you know that.” Faith felt a little like she was lying. True the first year of her disappearance they had searched non-stop. Nothing had turned up. That demon they had been looking for was no where to be found and the one tied off in the basement of the school didn’t know anything. Faith was sure because she had done some rather unsavory things to find out.

“Faith…it’s been almost nine years. I know she’s still alive though, I feel it. She’s out there…waiting for us to find her.” Dawn sniffled softly, trying to force back the useless tears.

Faith leaned over and wrapped her arms around the smaller girl. They all missed B, but she had been the only real family Dawn had, had. Now she was gone.

“I promise Dawnie, well find her. I won’t stop searching until im dead and gone.” Faith silently sent a prayer that somehow B would turn up.

They both turned when they heard wood scraping, and soft footsteps on the porch roof, pulling back they watched as long legs appear over the side of the roof and Skye dropped down.

“Going somewhere?” Faith asked. ‘God I sound so momish sometimes.’ Watching as her daughter froze and turned to see them sitting there watching her.

“I’m…just.” Sighing dramatically “I’m going back to bed mom.” Brushing past them she went back into the house.

“She’s gotten to be a handful.” Dawn smiled. Faith laughed softly and nodded. Stabbing out her cigarette and standing she turned and looked down at the girl.

“I swear sometimes she thinks I know nothing about the teenage tricks…I fucking invented half the shit she comes up with.”

Turning she went back into the house and planned on having a firm talking to with Skye.
