Angel get's a headache
Chapter 7
Angel didn’t know what he did to deserve it, but just as he settled down to get some sleep he heard the voices of two people he really didn’t want to see. Angelus purred at the thought as he paced in the cage that he lived in when the soul was in control, his favored childe and the boy was near. It wasn’t that he disliked the pair but they just made it harder for him to keep control over Angelus. Sighing Angel quickly got dressed and made his way to the pair. For them to be here this early, let alone together something had to have happened.
He didn’t know quite what he expected when he reached them but Spike wrapped around Xander trying to get him to give up whatever he was planning, wasn’t it. Xander spotted Angel first and he pulled free of Spike.
“Hey Deadboy where’s Cordy?” Xander asked.
“At home sleeping, I’d imagine. That would be where I was heading before you two showed up. Is there a reason you are here and with Spike at that or did you just want to annoy me?”
“Nope no plan to annoy you, that’s just a bonus. Blondie kidnapped me, while I was sleeping. That was after he locked me up in a hotel room and before waking me up with unusual practices.” Xander started looking around, “Um do you have a bathroom here because I really need one.”
“Down the hall to the left,” Angel waited until the human was out of sight before he turned on Spike, “What the hell do you think your doing Spike! Kidnapping the Slayer’s boy is a sure way to meeting the pointy end of a stake!”
“He’s not the bloody Slayer’s boy,he is mine. You gave him to me if ya remember, just took awhile for me to pick him up,” Spike snarled, “Needed to get my accounts strait, so I couldn’t leave me boy in Sunnyhell where who knows what could hurt him, now could I.”
“Since when do you care about the boy?”
“Um…It’s actually Willow’s fault,” came Xander’s voice from behind Angel, “you know about the chip right?”
“Yes I do.” Angel said focusing on the figiting boy, “Giles called me not long after it happened.”
“Oi, you knew all this time and did nothing? Some Sire you are.” Complained Spike.
“If you recall, the last time I saw you, you were sticking me with hot pokers. Doesn’t give me much reason to help you, know does it.”
“Not like I did anything you haven’t done to me.” Spike grumbled.
Angel looked slightly guilty but Xander chose that moment to continue so Angel was saved from answering.
“Well like I was saying, Spike was staying with Giles, but, well he has a friend staying there so I got Spike. Well Willow didn’t want me to have a demon out for my blood living with me, so she did a spell. She made it so that Spike’s demon didn’t see me as food or as an enemy, but she didn’t know that Demons don’t have very many places for a human and so now Spike is all touchy feeling and bossy.” Xander babbled in the fashion only those trained by Willow could manage.
Angelus was smirking, he finally had his boy in the family and with a little nudging at his souled half, he would have them near bye as well. He hadn’t been this happy since before he was caged. Angel however wasn’t impressed.
“Damn it, what is that girl playing at, messing with things she has no idea about.”
“Hey, she was just trying to help!” Xander defended, “and they are working on a way to fix it, so you can justBut out! Now where are your books on nasties. There is one in Sunnydale that takes voices and since I can’t be there because of being kidnapped, at least I can do is research here.”
Angel just looked at the expectant look on the boy’s face for a moment before pointing him toward the library. He could feel a headache coming on and it didn’t look like it would be leaving any time soon.
A.N. Another chapter done. The reviews end in a 5, Yay. lol 5 is my fav. number and the only odd one that I like, so it makes me glad I can update on a number I like. Don't mind me, I'm tired, but I got the chapter I promised out, so now I can go sleep. Thanks for everyone who reviewed, I really look forward to reading what you think.
