Morticia looked up from her tea as her nephew slammed the front door to the mansion. She could tell be his black express that he was angry. The Harris temper was not something that could be aroused easily but when it was...


"Where are they," Xander hissed out.

Morticia blinked. Xander had never used that tone when speaking to her, " Who, dear?"

"My dear, sweet, innocent cousins, you know the ones who would never bury one of my friends alive. No matter what they said." Xander said, as he caught sight of Pubert hiding on the top of the staircase. Xander watched as his youngest cousin squeaked in fear and ran to find his siblings to warn them.

"Buried alive, you say?" asked Morticia softly as she put her teacup on the table next to the chair she was sitting on.

Xander nodded, " I know they were angry with Buffy about what she said..."

"She deserved it!" Came from the top of the stairs, Xander looked up and saw Wednesday standing there with her arms crossed over her chest.

Xander sighed, " No one deserves to be buried alive...I'm not saying you should've done something to her. But that was wrong on so many levels."

Wednesday glared at him, " She had no right to judge us."

"No, she didn't but Wednesday, Buffy is only human no matter what she may think."

"I won't forgive what she said."

"You don't have too, nor does Buffy have to forgive what you three did. But you will get along with each other!"

"Why?" Wednesday asked confused. The Slayer didn't like them she had made that clear when they were testing her. They others had found their pranks funny and would give them ideas on what to do to the Slayer...well, Dawn and Spike had done that. But Willow had laugh at Buffy's green skin, then offered to find a way to get rid of it. Tara hadn't said much about the pranks but if she disapproved she hadn't said anything.


Xander sighed, " Because I'm not going to choose between my friends and my family, I'm going to be selfish and have both. I don't care how or what I have to do but there will be peace between you. Because god knows if this is how Buffy reacts to you, how will she react to some of our other family members."

"But Alexander,"

"No, no buts. You don't have to forgive or even apologize just made peace with her that's all I'm asking of you!"

Xander knew if he could get Wednesday to do this the other two would follow, he knew his cousins had been hurt by what Buffy had said. He also knew that up until then their pranks had been in good fun. Buffy was easy to get the better of at times. But he knew they had crossed a line, what they had done had been dangerous no only to Buffy but to Riley as well. So many things could have gone wrong and they both could have died. Xander though didn't really want to think about that, did want to think about how crawling out of her grave was one of Buffy's nightmares. He needed to focus on how he could if not fix this then at least put some sort of match on the situation.

"That's enough, " Said Morticia as she slowly stood up, " while we Addams have never been the type to turn the other cheek. We are not cruel either. Alexander, you may tell your friend that the children shall be punished for there actions..." Said children paled at this, it wasn't offend that they did something their parents thought they should be punished for but the punishments were memorable and things to be avoided at all costs.

Xander left after he and his aunt had come up with a suitable punishment for the children, he had left mostly because he thought what was about to happen to be very cruel and he just couldn't stomach it. Morticia stood in front of the children who all three sat on the couch in front of her. She held a remote control in her hand.

"Do you know why you're being punished?" She asked her children; they all seemed to think about the question.

"Because we should have buried her deep?" asked Pugsley.

"No."

"Because what we did was wrong?" asked Pubert.

"No."

"Because Alexander is a bastard?" asked Wednesday.

"No, and don't call your cousins names when he's not here to defend himself. Isn't that why you buried the Slayer?" asked their mother.

"So, why are we being punished?" asked Wednesday.

"Because, my dear ones, you got caught." Then she presses a button on the remote, the television came on the opening theme to the Care Bears came on.

"Mother, no!" hissed out Wednesday.

"You can't!" cried Pugsley.

Pubert just whimpered and covered his eyes.

"But, my darlings, I can. Six hours should be enough I think." She said as she walked out of the room with the remote before shutting the door behind her. Morticia didn't like punishing the children but they would never learn if she didn't. She shuttered as she heard the start of the show threw the door, perhaps she was being a bit harsh.

The Care Bears...she shuttered again then went to find her husband.
