"You have to confront your father Spike. It is the only way to put it to rest." said Angel as they walked down the hall to their room.
"I just want to leave." said Spike.
"Oh come on, you have never backed down from a confrontation before." said Angel.
"Yes I have, I never told Buffy about being back from the dead." said Spike.
"That's different. Some situations should be avoided like the plague." shuddered Angel.
"I'll be sure to let Buffy know you called her a plague." grinned Spike.
"Go ahead, and I will tell her that you chose me over her." Angel threatened with a grin.
"Don't worry, the news will get back to her soon enough. And since this was all your idea, you get to explain it to her." Spike said knowing he had won this round.
"I guess I didn't think that part through." said Angel. "And stop changing the subject. Go talk to him."
"Angelus is right, we need to talk William." the Immortal said as he walked up behind his son.
"Sod off!" Spike said and turned to walk away.
"I know your mother didn't raise you to be disrespectful to your elders William." said Spike's father clearly annoyed.
"That's right, my mother raised me, not you." said Spike angrily as he turned back to face his Da. "I am over a hundred years old. You don't get to play father and correct me anymore."
As he watched his son run away from him yet again, the Immortal whispered to Angel. "I know you don't like me Angelus, but for Williams’s sake, could you please keep him here until we work this out?"
"It's Angel now. And I will try to help him any way I can." said Angel.
"I just want to leave." said Spike.
