William stopped pounding when Joyce, Buffy’s mother opened the door. He tried to compose himself and wiped at his tears with a shaking hand.

"So um you want to go back to your house?"

The whole drive was made in silence, but Angel would glance at William adoringly. Once they got in his house Will smiled at Angel and ushered him inside.
