Chapter 7
A/N For those of you who wondered what Spike meant – it went away last time, it was the terrible feeling he had when he awoke.
Changes
“I’m right here Spike what do you need? What’s wrong?” Buffy had tears in her voice and she was shaking.
“I need to feed.” Spike moaned. “It went away last time when I fed…”
Buffy leaned over Spike, brushed her hair to the side and pressed her jugular to his lips. “Drink Spike take as much as you need.” Buffy said passionately.
Spike took two swallows and was strangely full. “I need to rest now Buffy…”
“Ok” she said leaning down to kiss him. “I love you, have a good rest.”
“Thanks Buffy, I love you.” Spike said slipping into a deep sleep.

Spike woke a couple of hours later feeling very strange. His stomach was tied in knots, his head was pounding, he felt uncomfortably full, his eyes hurt and he felt really growly. Gotta go wash my face. That’ll make me feel better. Spike thought to himself.
He entered the bathroom and went to the sink, Spike ran some warm water over a cloth and rubbed it over his weary face. Hmmm a little better. He thought to himself exiting the bathroom. Out of habit he didn’t look into the mirror, if he had he would have been shocked to see his reflection.
Spike made his way downstairs and flopped onto the couch, flipped on the TV and was pleasantly surprised to see passions was on.
Buffy came into the livingroom. “Hey there you are you sexy thing you.” She said to Spike taking a seat beside him. “Hey yourself.” Spike said leaning in to kiss Buffy. “Spike? Your k war warm? Are you ok?” Buffy questioned.
“Yeah, well I’m only one degree warmer than I usually am and not really feeling like myself right now but I’m sure I’ll be fine.” Spike said smiling at her.
“Ok well I’ve gotta work in a couple of hours…so why don’t I get you some blood and then we can just hang out till I’ve gotta go?”
“Not really that hungry pet. Had my fill of your blood. I'd much rather spend that time in your room…” Spike said suggestively leering at her eyebrows raised.
“Race ya.” Buffy said already half way up the stairs.

Spike caught up with Buffy before she reached her room, picked her up and threw her over his shoulder.
“Spike” She giggled lightly raining blows on his back.
He carried her into her room and placed her on the bed devouring her with his eyes. “Hmmm now I know what a piece of meet feels like at the butcher’s” Buffy said huskily.
“Oh yes Slayer you’d better believe I’m gonna eat you all up.” Spike growled seductively, sending a pool of moisture between Buffy’s legs.
“Really?” Buffy asked innocently “I thought you were still full?”
“Never to full for you luv.” Spike said removing Buffy’s clothing.
Spike started to remove his clothing while Buffy watched, as soon as his erection was freed from it’s prison of his constricting jeans Buffy wrapped her mouth around it, slowly stroking the shaft. “God love you Buffy.” Spike moaned contentedly. “Oh my god Xand the school looks amazing!!” Buffy practically shouted. “I can’t believe Dawn is going to go there.” Buffy stated looking up at the newly rebuilt Sunnydale high school. They had just finished taking the tour.
“Yeah well, my first big project and all…” Xander smiled proud of himself.
They were so wrapped up in their conversation none of them noticed something following them. Spike would have, but since it was daylight he stayed home during this little venture.
“Soon…Slayer.” The creature murmured to himself smiling evilly, “Soon you will be mine.” Said the Scourge.

Buffy entered her house and found Spike and Dawn sitting on the couch. “So how was it?” she asked
“Xander and his crew did an excellent job on the school Dawnie. I can’t believe your starting so soon…”
“I know! Isn’t it exciting.” Dawn jumped up from the couch and hugged Buffy, “I’m gonna go pick out what I’m gonna wear on my first day!” Dawn yelled over her shoulder already running up the stairs.

“What the hell is that?” Buffy asked kicking the body she had just slain.
“Donno luv, looks familiar though…can’t place it, guess it’s Scooby central then?” Spike asked.
“Looks like.” She said reaching up to give him a kiss. He’s still a little warm. She thought to herself when she broke the kiss.
“You still not feeling yourself?” Buffy asked quietly.
“Not really pet, donno what the problem is either.” Spike replied
“Well we can get the gang researching that too.” Buffy said firmly.
“Slayer …I don’t want anyone to go to any trouble…specially cause of me.” Spike said quietly.
“Spike I love you…they are starting to come around…trust me, they’ll see how good you are for me they’ll probably insist we get married so you don’t leave.” Buffy laughed.
“That’s not funny, I’d want to marry you luv but I don’t have to, in order for me to stay. I’ll never leave you.”
“I know Spike.” Buffy said melting into his embrace.

Buffy and Spike told the gang about the demon Buffy killed.
“We’ll research it Buff, why don’t you guys go home…”

“Hey guys wanna watch a movie with me?” Dawn asked from the couch, popcorn in her lap.
“Hey Niblet, what movie were you gonna watch?” Spike asked sitting down on one side of her. Buffy sat on her other side.
“Well it’s violence and bloodshed or laughs aplenty.” Dawn said smiling.
“Either Boondock Saints or Family Man.”
“Boondock Saints? Bloody brilliant movie that!” Spike said cheerfully.
“Well since I see enough violence and bloodshed in everyday life, I’ll opt for laughs aplenty.” Buffy stated looking directly at Spike.
“Whatever you want luv, Family Man it is.” Spike said getting up from his spot on the couch to put the movie into the VCR.
“You have him so whipped.” Dawn giggled.
Spike scowled at her. “I am not bloody whipped, I just love my girl and I want to make her happy!” He said indignantly.
Buffy smiled at Spike, he smiled back. “Yeah, I’m whipped, I’m a ponce, a Nancy boy.” Spike sighed. “I hope you’re happy Slayer.” Spike said sadly.
“I am Spike. I really and truly am.” Buffy said quietly, tears coming to her eyes. Dawn moved over on the couch and Spike sat between them. One arm wrapped around each of the girls.
“I am too.” Spike said looking at Dawn and then Buffy.
The movie started and they settled in to watch.

Buffy awoke, sunlight streaming in over the back of the couch alighting Spike’s hair withs bes beautiful golden light. NO SMOKING OF SPIKE! IN SUNLIGHT! “Spike, Spike wake up.” Buffy yelled startling Spike and Dawn awake.
“Buffy what? …OH MY GOD. OH MY GOD SPIKE YOU’’RE NOT ON FIRE!” Dawn screamed hugging him tightly.
“WHAT?” Spike said fiercely and realized she was right he was bathed in light and not even the slightest whiff of smoke.
“What the hell is going on?” Buffy asked grabbing Spike in a tight hug.
“Spike we have to find out.” Buffy whispered suddenly sacred.
“It’s ok luv, the scoobies’ll figure it out.” Spike said “No need to worry.”
Buffy went to the phone, dragging Spike behind her. “I’ll call Willow…she might know something.” Buffy said quickly to him.

“We took the car just incase, Will what did you find out?” Buffy asked fearfully. Spike could feel the fear coming off of her in waves.
“Luv? Can I talk to you alone a sec?” Spike asked before Willow could reply.
“Yeah.. ok” Buffy said quietly and let Spike lead her to the training room. He shut the door softly behind him.
“Luv, you’ve got to calm down…I…Buffy I don’t know what to tell you…I’m scared too but I can feel your fear…You gotta stop luv…”
“I can’t Spike I’ve never been so scared in my life…, not when I had to kill Angel, not when he came back , not when Mom died, not when I had to jump, not when I came back, I cannot face the though that this could be killing you, and I won’t be happy ever again.” Buffy sobbed.
“Buffy, don’t cry luv.” Spike said taking her into his arms. “Even if worst case scenario, I do die…It was meant to be luv, we can’t change fate…”
“Yes we can Spike and you’ve done it already. And so have I…I’m just thinking that this is my price, get pulled out of heaven by my friends, not be with the man I love because I’m thinking how will my friends react. I was so unhappy Spike when I wasn’t with you or Dawn I was so unhappy. And I can’t lose you, not again. Not ever again. I wonder if I’m losing you because of my friends?” Buffy sobbed against his chest.
“Shh, luv let’s calm down and go and see if we can suss out what happened to me. Then we can figure out what to do.”
“I…ok Spike it’s just that I love you so much and I don’t want to lose you.”
“I know.” Spike said drying her tears.

“So you …don’t know anything?” Buffy asked.
“No Buffy we couldn’t find anything on this ever happening before.” Willow said apologetically.
“Ok, I’m gonna make two phone calls, if I find out nothing from either source then, I will freak.” Buffy said in a deadly voice. “I’ll be in the office…I’ll come out only once I know…what is going on with Spike.”

“Yeah I have some time…”
“It’s about ….Spike.” Buffy said softly.
“What did he do to you?”

“And you care why exactly?” Said the angry voice over the phone.
