Time Spin

Lonnie just stared at her in amazement, Buffy could barely believe she had said that, oh she meant it alright but still…Dawn will kill me for sure over this.



“You mean that don’t you?” Lonnie said, she was doing that thing again…that thing where she was staring at Buffy as if she was trying to figure out if she was serious.



“Yes I am. This…is my home. The scoobs are my family and slaying is what ive done forever…but you’re my life Lonnie.” Buffy wondered momentarily where these deep cheese thoughts were coming from.



Sure she was insightful and all that but she…oh fuck it. “I’m sorry you’re not happy here. And no matter what you may think nothings ever happened between me and Sasha and nothing ever will…were friends that’s it.”



Lonnie looked away, dammit why did she have to do this now? It would be nice if she would just tell her whatever it was she was thinking so Buffy could stop having reruns of possible over the top scenarios.



“Now isn’t the time to talk about this, after the battle. After this Tyrell is killed and everything is calmed down again. Well talk about it more then.” Lonnie said quietly, leaning in she kissed her mate softly before shifting down and snuggling up to the slayer.

~Two days later~



Sasha stood uncomfortably as close to the wall as she could get, she watched as her sister cooed and laughed at the small baby in her arms. Apparently the skin walkers had birthed another cub.



She struggled to get better look at the child across the room, looking down she saw Raya and Faiths youngest standing beside Axel, the pair were staring up at her curiously.



“What?” Sasha snapped when after a minute of silent staring got to her.



“Your blue” Brigitte said “Why ya blue?” Sasha stared down at the children incredulously…she wasn’t great with kids. Never had been…hell she was a mischief demon and Master of the underworld…not a whole lot of kids in a place like that.



“Why are you small?” Sasha spat back…shifting uncomfortably at the stupid statement.



“I’m not. Ima big girl.” Brigitte said firmly, Sasha looked down in alarm when she felt insistent tugging on her pant leg. Looking down she saw Axel looking up at her pleadingly and crossing his legs awkwardly.



“Is he broken?” Sasha asked almost concerned over the smaller child. She looked up sharply when Coop snickered. “How long are we going to be here?” she asked…she wanted to leave…go kill something or at least blast a hole…not have conversations with tiny children.



“Were babysitting.” Coop said as she smiled at her child deficient sister. Looking back down at baby Rupert she smiled when he grabbed onto the ring around her finger and refused to let go.



“Whats…what’s that?” Sasha asked panicked…that didn’t sound like…the kid was STILL pulling on her leg. “WHAT?” That came out sharper than she meant but dammit he was dancing now and thanks to her snappy comeback he was tearing…DAMMIT,



“He gotsta go potty” Brigitte said, looking pointedly at the demon. What happened to the days she struck fear into the hearts of grown men?



Bending down she grasped the back of his pants and picked him up, careful to keep him an arms length away from her as she walked out of the room and toward the humans bathroom.



Setting him down on the floor of the bathroom she stood there. Axel simply stood facing the toilet but his head was turned back at her. “You goin to go or what?”



“Turn.” The tiny boy said. Sasha frowned, confused. “Ima boy. You can’t look.”



Blushing she rolled her eyes and turned away from the kid. ‘Never ever ever having kids.’ They were smelly and annoying and looking down she saw that the boy had wrinkled her slacks. Frowning she crossed her arms and decided she couldn’t have kids…shed kill em most likely.



Turning when she smelled the blonde slayer coming toward them, she smirked when Buffy jumped when she realized Sasha was standing there. Looking passed her toward Axel Sasha smiled when Axel shrieked at his mommy and Buffy turned around quickly.



“You’re going to babysit?” Buffy asked the demon, Sasha looked affronted. Honestly she had no idea what ‘babysitting’ was but why not. She may as well do something to wipe that disbelieving look off the blondes face.



“Yeah…how hard can it be?” Sasha looked up sharply at her taller sister who suddenly appeared and was chuckling. “What?”



Sasha momentarily forgot her bad mood when she saw the soft look come over the slayers face when she gently was handed the cub. Fighting off a smile when the slayer rocked the baby and was talking to it in a strange cartoony voice.



Looking up she wiped the smile off her face at the knowing look on Coop’s face.



Growling she looked down at the boy who had finished and was standing besides her staring at his mother. Going over the limited knowledge of children that she had she bent and again grasped the back of Axels pants and picked him up and held him above the sink. “Wash your hands”



Smiling when the child did this…she didn’t know what the fuss was about…this wasn’t so hard.

Buffy walked towards Asher’s and Andrews’s house with Faith, Raya, Willow, Vikki and Horus. They had all gone out slaying while leaving Sasha and Coop to babysit. Asher had taken Andrew out to dinner and wondering where they were Buffy looked around until she spotted Ashes car parked over in the shadows of the large weapons garage near the school.



Smiling at the slight rocking she nudge Faith and nodded toward the car. Faith laughed and pointed out the car to Horus who clashed and began walking faster.



“Nice to know Ashes still got some spring in his step” Faith whispered to Buffy.



Nodding they stepped onto the porch and all froze then burst through the door when a loud shriek broke out from inside the house. Running in brandishing stakes everyone froze at the sight before them.



“They’re devils godammit” Buffy heard Sasha growl out. She couldn’t see anything because Coop was standing with her back to them, her wings relaxed and blocking any view of the demon.



“What happened here?” Raya asked stepping forward she looked around and saw the disaster that was the living room, the couch was overturned, TV had what looked like cave drawings on it. Buffy stepped up to the TV and wiped a finger through one of the drawings…jelly?



Coloring books and food wrappers littered the floors…was that hair on the floor around Coops feet?



Coop turned and smiled wide.” Seems Sasha agreed to dress up with the twins and Jaeger. Guess it got outa hand and gum…well…you can figure out the rest.”



Horrified Buffy walked around Coop and looked down at the glowering demon in a chair, her eyes were black and Buffy had never seen anyone more thoroughly pissed. Her hair that had been long and slightly wavy before was now cropped short; Coop had cut it to where it hung longer in the front and was chopped in the back.



“Gum?” Faith asked, Buffy turned and glared at her sister slayer who looked like she wasn trying not to laugh.



“Yes GUM…those…those little cretins. Curses to them all.” Sasha hissed glaring up the stairs.



“Did you give them sugar after five?” Raya asked calmly, still trying to get the destruction to the lying room to sink in. Horus was surprisingly trying to hold in a smile at everything that had happened. Turning he went up the stairs to collect his children.



“They’re alive right? You didn’t kill any of them did you?” Willow asked anxiously. Coop turned and glared at the witch.



“Of course they’re alive. They’re in bed.” Coop said as she turned back and brushed the hair off Sasha’s shoulders and stood back.



Standing Buffy was taken aback by the way the haircut accentuated the demons features. She had been attractive before but something about that haircut made her very striking.



Looking back to her friends she realized that she wasn’t the only one that thought this, Willow and Vikki were both gawking openly. Faith was valiantly trying not to look Sasha up and down and Raya well…she was still distracted by the general disarray to the room so when she turned and saw the blue skinned demon she tripped over the coffee table.



“What?” Sasha snapped, self consciously fingering her now much shorter locks, looking around the room confused by the sudden silence a moment before Horus came downstairs herding his three children as well as Raya and Faiths two youngest boys and Brigitte. Buffy looked up and saw Jaeger carefully walking down the stairs with axel sleepily walking behind her.



“BYE SASHA BYE COOP!” came a chorus form the children an moment before the two sisters legs were attacked by the passel of tiny bodies and hugged. Coop seemed to take great delight in this while Sasha simply glowered down at the children and reluctantly patted there heads.



Once everyone but Buffy and her two children had left Sasha turned and looked at the slayer. “Never. Ever ask me to babysit again” Sasha said simply, Buffy smiled and walked up to the woman placing a comforting hand on the woman’s shoulder she smiled.



“Nice haircut Sasha.” She said jokingly, turning back she led her children out of ht house, wondering what that look on Sasha’s face had been when shed touched her?
