The door to the Magic Box slammed open suddenly, startling Xander and Spike who were sitting on the stairs that lead to the loft.

Buffy Summers the Slayer stood there, her clothes were torn and dirty, her hair had dirt and grass in it, and she had what looked to be a handcuff hanging from her left wrist. But most of all she looked very pissed off.


"Where are they?" she growled in a low voice. Xander could see Riley standing behind her looking shell-shocked; his dull blue eyes were glazed looking.


"Who?" Xander asked in mock innocents.

Buffy snarled, " You know, who, Xander! Those freaks you are related too."

Xander knew why the Slayer was so upset, it wasn't offend that some one who wasn't a demon tried to go up against Buffy. It was the fact that they had almost succeeded that pissed her off so much. Buffy was now looking for blood. And Xander was not about to hand over his cousins for the revenge he thought Buffy had deserved.

"After what you said, did you really think they wouldn't retaliate?" Xander asked with a snort.

"They buried me and Riley alive!" Buffy shouted at him.

"Key word, Buff, alive!" Xander stood up and shouted back. Buffy glared and walked over to Xander, as Riley cowered in the doorway of the store.

"I want them out of my town!" said Buffy in full on Slayer mode.


"Who the hell do you think, you are? Your town! Don't make me laugh. You don't give a damn about what happens in the Dale as long as it doesn't interfere with your dating or partying."

Buffy started speak but Xander cut her off, " It's always been that way. Even in high school. I remember that you once said you had been the Cordelia of your old school, well guess what, Buffy? That never changed. You did and said whatever you wanted, not caring whom you hurt, you still do. Only now you use the 'I'm the Slayer' excuse.
They are staying for the Reunion, and after if they want. Because if they leave it won't be because of you or the people of this town, it will be, because they want too!"

At the end of this speak there was silence so thick you could cut it as the Slayer and the Knight glared at each other then the Knight growled out, "Sic gorgiamus allos subjectatos nunc."

Xander then pushed pasted the now confused Slayer, shoved Riley away from the door and left the shop.


"That...that was Latin, right?" asked Buffy unsure.

"Yeah, Slayer that was Latin. It's good to know you 'can' recognize it. After all it's only the foundation to all spoken European languages!" Spike said mockingly to her. As he then stood up and made his way to the back of the shop where the sewer entrance was as
Buffy frowned and asked, " Well, what does it mean?"

"You're the Slayer," Spike called back, "...you figure it out!"
