Chapter 5
"You..Your..Faith Wilkins?" Buffy stumbled out,before sitting on her bed,a vacant look in her eyes.
"And you? Buffy?" Faith asked in reply.
Buffy shook her head,snapping herself back into reality. "I'm supposed to marry you,in what,a month?" she vented. "I don't know you,you'll probably hate me.."
She trailed off as Faith started ranting. "I'm supposed.." she trailed off,all thoughts of the quick divorce slipping her mind.
"Look,can we start again,probably should try and get to know each other." Buffy began. "I mean,I don't expect anything from you. You don't even have to see me if you don't want to. I'll live here,and you live wherever you live. That'd work,right?" she asked hopefully,not noticing the way Faiths body slumped at the thought of not seeing her.
"If you want,fine,but we will be married,so you're entitled to live with me." Faith said in a small voice.
"No,it wouldnt be right,if we're not together together." Buffy protested,then an idea came to mind.
"Would you maybe liketogooutandwatchafilmtonightwithme?" Buffy asked,then realised she's squeezed the whole sentance out in under 2 seconds. "I mean,would you like to go to the movies tonight,maybe Bronzing after?"
Faith,partly transfixed by the way her future wife could almost hyperventilate and still look adorable nodded her head,and stood up. "Bronzing?"
"Oh,the Bronze,its a club. Me and the gang,we hang out there most nights." the honey-blonde explained. "We were supposed to be meeting tonight anyway,and if you want to.." she trailed off. *For gods sake Buffy,shes GOT to marry you. Why would someone like HER want you?*
"I'd love to" Faith smiled,regaining her focus. "No reason why we cant get along is there?"
"Theres a new film out,Bring it On,or something like that,it starts soon,if you.."
"The cheerleader one? Hell yeah,Kirsten Dunst looks HOT in that" Faith grinned broadly,and Buffy smiled.
"Yeah she does,doesn't she"
"See,we've already got things in common,we like the same tye of girls" Faith joked. "What better foundation for a relationship" she continued as they exited Buffys room.
"And you? Buffy?" Faith asked in reply.
