Epilogue
Faith’s POV
Pain shoots up my arm from the fingers grasping it. The pain flies along my nerve endings and begins to ball in my chest so tight that I think it might explode. I bite my lip and ball my other fist against the pain.
A loud, high pitched scream is ripped from vocal cords and fills the room with the sound. As I look around everyone else present is grimacing against the ear splitting sound.
“Fuckin’ Hell! B you can scream!” I shout over the noise, I am awarded with a death stare from the blonde slayer.
She stops screaming and lets out a breathless plea for help. “Faith, I’m dying!”
I roll my eyes at her. “B you’re not dying but you might want to let go of my hand before I loose all feeling.”
A sort of pathetic cross between a scream and a sigh escapes the slayers throat.
“Come on Buffy, it’s almost over!” Red announces. With narrowed eyes Buffy regards the witch.
“ALMOST! ALMOST! I don’t care what you have to do Will, whether it’s physically knocking me out or some or your mojo just make it stop hurting!”
Jen then puts in her two cents. “Would everyone just calm the fuck down! I’m sure all this stress isn’t helping!”
The room falls silent, which is nice… although I’m sure Jen isn’t liking the fact that everyone is giving her ‘the look of death’.
“OHHHHHH MYYYYYY… SHHHHIIIIITTTTTTTT.”
The room is filled with another high pitched cry.
“Buffy! It’s a boy!” Red says as she wraps the bundle of… erm… bundle of… trouble? Nah not a strong enough word… bundle of ear splitting annoyance? Yeah that will do. The baby screams for a while until Red gives him to Buffy then he stops, which is a relief. I should have worn some earplugs or something for this little mission.
“Ohh Buffy, he is so cute!” Willow says walking around to sit next to Buffy on the bed.
I stay where I am at the foot of the bed; time seems to stand still as I look up into Buffy’s green eyes… “B… I think I see the head.”
“Faith we did that bit already.” Jen supplies… yeah cause I am that stupid.
“No… really… I think there might be another one in there…”
Buffy’s eyes widen and she opens her mouth, the voice I hear is surprisingly calm but with undertone of really pissed off. “Would you go get me a stake please Jen?”
“Why?” Jen replies looking confused.
“I’m gonna stake Spike.” Still with the calm.
“But he’s human B.” I put in.
“Its still gonna fucking kill him aint it!” She quickly hands the baby to Jen and grips the sheets under her screaming for all she’s worth. Here we go again…
