Daniel smiled at Xander and signed, "You must really like him, you gave him a donut," he joked.

Xander grinned while flipping Daniel off, and then signed, "I think I am really falling for him. He is kind, and fun to talk to and be around." He had a dazed smile on his face as he turned around and rolled into the kitchen to see Spike. 


Wesley leaned against Daniel and kissed his cheek, while signing, "They would be a great couple."

Daniel nodded enthusiastically while he wrapped an arm around Wesley's waist.


Spike looked up from tying on his apron and smiled brightly when he saw it was Xander. "So what's on the agenda today, luv? We going to make those brownies?"

Xander nodded, "Yep, but I won't help you this time unless you really want it. I want you to feel like you are making all these by yourself, and I want you to feel wanted." Daniel looked to Wesley so see which one of them should go over and ask their friend what happened, but just then a customer walked in, so it was up to Daniel. He walked over and pulled out a chair to sit next to Xander. Tapping his shoulder so he would look at him, he asked his friend, "What's wrong? Did something happen?"

Xander nodded and said without signing, cause he knew that Daniel could read lips perfectly, "I told Spike that I was falling in love with him." He winced and covered his eyes, "And then he got all nervous and 'Yeah, I umm... me, you too.' I was holding onto him cause I was standing up, and he moved, so I collapsed onto the ground." He wiped his eyes. "I'm probably just being a big baby." 


Wesley bid the customer a good day and he walked over to Xander and hugged him, "No, no you’re not. Maybe he just isn't used to affection, or anyone telling him that." Xander nodded. "Want me to go talk to him for you?" Xander nodded again and Wesley laughed, kissing the top of his head, and then kissing Daniel on the lips before getting up and going to the kitchen.

Daniel smiled after Wesley before turning back to Xander and wrapping an arm around him.


Xander hugged Daniel back happily, "Thanks."

Spike looked up when someone came back into the kitchen, praying it wasn't Xander. He sighed in relief when he saw that it was Wesley.

"Wes. What can I do for you, mate?" he asked as he put the brownies into the big oven.

Wesley walked over and hugged Spike, "Wanna tell me what's going on?" He smiled with a raised brow, "You can tell me. I won't say anything to Xander." 


Spike sighed loudly and sat down heavily on a stool. "I assume Xander told you what happened," he rubbed his hands over his face before continuing, "I just... don't know how to deal with feelings like that. I've never felt the way I feel about Xander before."

Wesley nodded, "That's what I told him, but it still hurt him. You could have just told him you weren't ready to say it back. He would have understood." He rubbed Spike's neck gently. "How about you go out there and tell him. He might start making out with Daniel if we don't get out there," he chuckled as he led the blonde out of the kitchen.

"That's not even funny," Spike growled as he walked with Wesley.


Daniel saw the two exiting the back and, with a mischievous smile, hopped onto Xander's lap and gave him a big kiss on the lips.


Spike stomped over and tapped Daniel on the shoulder, causing him to look up innocently.

Daniel jumped up and ran to Wesley, hiding behind his own boyfriend and pretending to be scared.

Wesley rolled his eyes and pretended to glare at Spike, and shoo'ed him closer to Xander.


Xander gave a sad smile as he looked up at Spike, "Hey."

"Hey," Spike said back as he sat in the seat Daniel had been sitting in before. He looked over his shoulder at the couple watching and glared at them.

Getting the message, Daniel pulled Wesley away quickly.

Once they were gone, Spike turned back to Xander and looked down at his hands awkwardly. "I'm sorry," he said simply.

Xander looked down and gave a shrug, "It's no big deal. I understand now that you might not feel the same way about me that I might about you." He looked up at Spike and gave a grin, "Can't win everything, eh?"

Spike groaned in frustration. "No, you don't get it! I do! Feel the same I mean. I really like you, like you really like me," he tried to explain without coming out and saying 'I love you too'.

Xander gave a relieved smile, "Oh, okay, you feel the same way... but you can't say the words?" He moved closer to Spike and kissed him passionately, "I do care about you so much, and I don't mind that you can't say the words."

"I will eventually," Spike promised. "I just... can't right now." He kissed Xander back and pulled him into a tight hug. "I've got to go check on the brownies. You sure you're okay? We're okay?" he asked as he stood up to go check said brownies.

Xander chuckled, "Yeah... were fine." He motioned Spike towards the kitchen with laugh, even though his eyes were a little sad still. 


When Spike was gone he covered his face, 'I'm ok. I really don't mind that he can't say it...'

Daniel saw Spike walk by with a smile on his face, causing Daniel to smile too because he figured they had worked things out. He looked over to Xander, expecting to see a similar smile, but was surprised to see his friend sitting with his hands over his face. Letting out a puff of frustrated air, Daniel walked over to Xander and sat down next to him, figuring that if the brunette wanted to talk he would.

Xander looked at Daniel, "I'm a bad person. I WANT him to say it. But I am being kind and not rushing him. I need to do that. But deep down I wish he could say 'I love you too, Xander.' Do you think I am a bad person for wanting that?"

"I think it makes you a good person for not rushing him," Daniel signed. While Xander and Spike were talking, Daniel had had Wesley explain what was going on, so he knew what was going on with Spike. "He's never been in love before, Xan. Give him some time to get over the shock and the fear and then he will say it."

Xander nodded, "I will. Thanks for being here Daniel." He gave a small smile to his deaf friend and hugged him tightly. "Sorry to bother you. Go keep Wes company," he chuckled. 


Wesley smiled when Daniel came over, kissing him on the lips tenderly. He signed, 'I l-o-v-e you.'

"I love you too, Wesley," Daniel signed back before kissing his lover lightly before a customer approached the counter, smiling at the cute couple.


Spike took the brownies out of the oven and started to cut them up as he thought about how he would get over his fear of saying 'I love you' to Xander. As he put the brownies on a tray and took them to the front he realized it would probably just take time.

After the customer left Wesley looked down shyly, "Wanna come to my place after this?" When he realized that Daniel probably wasn't able to read his lips cause he was looking down he repeated the question while signing. 


Daniel nodded his head happily and kissed Wesley on the cheek.


Xander rolled over to Spike and took his hand and kissed it gently. He had a slightly happy smile on his face, hiding that he was a little sad. He was glad that Spike was happy though, and that made it worth it.

Spike looked down at Xander and smiled. He really did love him, but he still couldn't bring himself to say it.
