Chapter 109
Pylea
**************
Angel climbed out of the car. Lorne was right of course- Angel was starting to think maybe he should listen to him more often. He should be with Spike, not sat here feeling sorry for himself. He didn’t want to waste even a minute. He’d spend every second he could with Spike until the fateful day arrived.
As Angel looked up he spotted Spike, emerging from the woods, carrying Fred in his arms. Was she injured?
“Spike!” he cried, running toward them at full speed.
He’d never forgive himself if anything had happened to the baby. He shouldn’t have run off when he did. It wasn’t just Spike he’d run away from; he’d abandoned them all!
“Here you are, Luv,” Spike was saying as he set Fred down on her feet. “You okay?”
“What happened?” Angel asked, skidding to a stop on the damp grass beside them. “Are you hurt?”
Fred giggled.
She looked well enough, if slightly flushed in the face.
“No, just tired,” she replied. “Spike took pity on me when Wesley wasn’t looking.”
Angel glanced toward the trees in the direction Spike had just come from. There was no sign of Wesley.
“Where is Wesley?” he asked, fearful that something had happened to him.
He knew he shouldn’t have left them alone in the woods. Anything could have happened. Perhaps Wesley had fallen… twisted an ankle… or worse. Spike was strong but he was small. Carrying two people at once, especially when one of them was pregnant, wasn’t really a practical proposition for him. He must have had to leave Wesley to ensure Fred got to a place of safety before going back for him.
“I’ll go find…” Angel began.
“He’s taking a leak,” Spike interrupted with a chuckle. “He’s a big boy, Luv. I don’t think he needs any help.”
Fred giggled again.
“I was worried,” Angel muttered.
“I know, Luv,” Spike replied. “Thanks.”
Fred was starting to make her way to the car where Lorne was frantically waving his arms in greeting. He may be Spike’s friend but at times Angel wasn’t sure Lorne was all there.
Angel followed Fred’s path with his gaze, anxious lest she trip. He knew he was being overprotective but Spike was very fond of her and, for some reason, Wesley - he had to keep her safe for both their sakes - and then there was the baby. The Powers had clearly sent Fred to him so that he could protect the future champion she carried inside her.
He turned to Spike.
Spike was staring at him, a ghost of a smile on his lips but he wasn’t mocking him. This smile was the smile of someone who loved him… someone who worshipped him.
“I don’t want to leave you,” Angel heard himself say.
Spike started to close the gap between them.
“Ever…”
“I know, Luv. I know.”
Spike fell into his arms. Then they were kissing and time stood still once more.
Neither heard Wesley creep past them as he headed toward the others.
**************
Lorne smiled to himself as he glanced beyond Wesley toward Angel and Spike. Angel always had been a man of action and few words: kiss and make up could be the family motto. As he watched them devour one another, he hoped they’d pause long enough to remind each other just how they felt. All it would take was three little words…”
**************
“Fancy a shag?” Spike asked, coming up for air.
“Spike, we can’t!” Angel protested. “Not here.”
Spike reached for Angel’s belt but found his hands being batted away.
“Aw, come on, Luv. Why not?”
Wasn’t like the Poof to be coy.
“One for the road?”
Spike began to stroke Angel’s growing hardness through his pants.
“You can’t get in the car with this, Luv. You don’t wanna scare Fred.”
Angel made no move to stop him.
“People can see us,” he whispered.
“Oh, let ’em watch. It’ll be educational,” Spike said, falling to his knees at Angel’s feet.
*************
“I don’t suppose you thought to pack a bucket of ice water in that bottomless sack of yours, Wes?” Lorne asked as Wesley came within earshot. “I think we’re gonna need it to separate our two lovevamps.”
Wesley glanced in the direction Lorne was gesturing, raising both eyebrows when he saw what Angel and Spike were currently doing.
“Ooo!” Fred squealed. “How can that even be possible? I mean, it’s so big…”
She started to giggle. It was adorable. Wesley smiled to himself and helped her into the back seat.
“I must confess that until this moment I would never have imagined…” Wesley began.
Of course, whilst at Wolfram and Hart, Wesley was well accustomed to witnessing Angel and Spike’s expressions of affection for one another and it would undoubtedly be true to say their displays often left little to the imagination but all the same….
“It seems I have been proved wrong… yet again.”
Fred settled, he climbed in beside her and tried not to think about what he’d just witnessed. Of course, sitting next to the most beautiful woman in the known universe would likely do little to help take his mind off the pleasures of the flesh…
***************
“Spike, stop!” Angel protested.
“Why, Luv?” Spike asked, releasing Angel. “What’s up - apart from the obvious?”
Wasn’t like the Poof to object to having his dick sucked.
“Too fast,” Angel gasped. “Wanna make it last…”
“Course you do, Luv.”
Might be his last in quite a while. Maybe ever…
