Great Lust Game

Author's Note: I hope to update this story every weekend until it is finished.

Turn 2

Willow has an academic event out of town and is unavailable.

Xander looked at the computer screen and the actions the girls had. The system made it pretty clear why Willow had zero actions, but the rest of the numbers didn’t make that much sense. “I thought you said that girls have their actions improved by doing busys. Why then the different actions? I know I haven’t done a busy for Cordelia or Buffy yet.”

“Oh, there is some randomness each turn. Keeps things interesting.”

“Interesting is one word for it,” Xander said as he was presented with the screen for his free group action. He took study as he still had combat points to spend from last turn, and sent Harmony, Dru, Fred, and Cordelia. Harmony hadn’t been available last turn so she needed something to do, the remaining three where all good targets for focusing on knowledge skills. It cost him 15 mojo, them 12 need, but hopefully the knowledge would pay off.

“That’s from last turn, right?” Xander asked. “The need penalty?”

“And that the study action you sent them on added to their need. Like I said, mechanically bad to let it go unattended, but might be fun.”

Xander took a moment to look at their characters. Cordelia was at 14 lust and 63 need, while Dru was at 8 lust and 58 need. The most he could reduce need by from a single interaction was by 9, so it would take two tries with Cordelia if he wanted to pursue that route.

Xander put that aside for the moment and looked at the monster that had come into play. His eyes started to scan through its stats, but then he noticed the fight section:

Buffy - Defeating the monster will gain her 0 lust and 0 need.

He looked at the other girls. Most of them couldn’t even defeat the monster. Kendra had the next easiest time at 46 lust and 21 need. He looked up to Anya, “Is there something I’m missing here? A trick of some kind?”

“No trick, you got lucky on the first monster draw. It’s weak to earth element and speed style, while its attacks can be avoided by a cunning fighter - basically, that’s Buffy. Oh, when you send a girl to fight, she won’t be able for the remainder of this turn or the next. Can’t just have one girl doing all the work.”

“But isn’t that literally what Buffy did?”

“Well, yeah. But that was real life. It would be a boring game if she just took care of everything on her own.”

“All right, Xander, don’t overthink this,” he mumbled as he sent Buffy into fight.

“Don’t say that was easy,” Xander muttered under his breath as he moved on to his other issues.

“Okay. let’s look at that one.”

The group has puts together a science fair project on the human body.

“At the moment, that would take at least three actions from the girls,” he said.

“Which would add up to a lot of lust and need for them as well,” Anya added.

Xander went back, skipped over Trouble Students, and looked to Demon Research

Some new demons with unusual biology need to be investigated.

The main requirement for this problem is: Medicine

This looked at bit more doable. He guessed the lower difficulty was because he actually had the focused trait.  He would have to rely on Fred for it entirely.

“Hey, I don’t suppose you can turn into Willow or something for a moment, can you?” Xander asked.

“Want some variety? Maybe a little red head action? That is what the game is for.”

“No, I just need someone to verify that my math is right,” Xander said as he paused to look over the numbers. “Fred has one level of medicine, and she is 25 points stronger than all of the other girls. That means each level of the main requirement is worth 25. The other problem had a difficulty of 85, this one 70. So that means my level of focused reduces it by 15. So if I got one more level of focused it would bring it down to 55 and one more level of medicine for Fred and she’d be brought up to 55.”

“Sex and math all in one game,” Anya said with a sigh. “You know, if Willow was here she be so wet this seat would be soaked.”

Xander ignored her and went about his plan.

It will cost 6 Mojo and the action cost varies by skill.

Focused - Improve for 15 actions and it becomes easier to learn Skilled and Research.

Xander bought the necessary skills, but then took a moment to look at Fred’s character.

She has access to the elements of: Physical

She has a lust of 28 and a need of 47

“I don’t meet her busy need, but otherwise I’m much more in tune with her then any of the other girls,” Xander said. “And I don’t think I’ve ever met Fred.”

“Well, in a way, you will be meeting her very soon,” Anya said with a smirk.

Xander didn’t want to dwell on that too much and went back to the event Demon Research. As he expected, it now cost 55 and Fred offered a power of 55.

Solving this problem advances the embrace of Buffy, Drusilla by 7

Girls Need Punished

“Choices, choices,” Anya murmured. “This is the part I like.”

“I feel like Buffy or Dru would rip me apart for either option,” Xander said as he took a few moments to think before taking the punish option.

“Looks like we’ll be getting to see someone hit by need this turn,” Anya said gleefully. “How many will it be?”

“I’ll limit it right now,” Xander said as he opened Dru’s screen.

Sexual Interactions will take 1 Mojo and 5 actions. Like will be increased by 2 and desire increases by 3. She will move 1 points closer to embracing sex.

“Huh, the numbers went up,” Xander mentioned.

“Oh, yeah. You got her to the first level of sexual embrace for Dru from solving that problem, which makes her more open to sexual activities, which means that she gets more of a reward from sex activities.”

“Makes sense,” Xander said as he took ‘Major Reduce Need’.

Xander then went to Cordelia’s character and noticed the baseline for her sex actions: Sexual Interactions will take 3 Mojo and 6 actions. Like will be increased by 3 and desire increases by 2. She will move 1 points closer to embracing sex.

“The cost jumped?”

“Yeah, you are still human after all. Even you have your sexual limits. Each sex action you have during a turn will make the next one harder. Oh, and girls compound this: so having multiple sex actions with a girl during a turn will make it shoot up really quickly for that girl.”

“Then I’ll just live with Cordelia taking the hit,” Xander said as he had her improve her training level. It added on another 6 lust and need, but if she was already taking the penalty it wasn’t actually that dangerous..

Xander didn’t have any problems or monsters left, so he moved into strengthening the girls and improving his relationship with them. For Buffy, it took 13 actions to solve her busy need and 16 combat points to train her in power. Flirting only got her 5 points closer to a sexual relationship, it would still take 39 mojo, but she was going to get hit with the need spike and he needed to do everything he could to lower it.

For Harmony, he solved her busy action and took her on a date. It again yielded a low return, only improving the sexual relationship by 3, but didn’t eat up many of his actions.

Kendra he trained in the Power style and elected to take a friendly option instead of a romantic one. He got 6 friendship points from chatting with her; still a ways to go to leveling up her friend, but she liked Occult and had a like/desire for Buff, so he might be in a better condition to improve her soon.

He looked to Amy and saw her desires:

She desires: Buff, Creative and is turned off by: Occult
She likes and desires: Dark
 

He had both the desires she wanted, but also the turnoff. Still she had a base attraction of 6, which was better than any of the other girls. He trained her in ninja and then flirted with her, noting that she would be only 6 mojo away from advancing to the first level of sexual relationship.

“Ahn, what’s the difference between the sex relationship and sexual embrace?”

“Embrace is how much she likes sex in general; her sexual relationship is her overall level of attraction to you in particular.”

“Got it.”

Finally he went back to Dru and took her on a date. She still was close to going over need, but the cost of 6 mojo and 7 actions for a sexual action was too much to bear. It got him 15 points with her, though that still left 13 more to go.

He took a last glance at the monsters coming up:

He was pretty confident for the next monster. It had a lot of style’s it was immune to, but weak to power, and he had a few girls with that. The monster after it was a bit more of a challenge. He wasn’t sure what the ‘special’ entailed, but it was weak to speed, and Buffy had that.

He clicked on end turn and looked at the last screen.

Drusilla is a grappling with her dark desires and is taking some time off.

Seeing a powerful person trying to be better creates lust for Harmony, while Buffy feels a growing need for the darkness.

Cordelia has lost 1 action.

Cordelia has been overcome with need and the consequences are:

Female on Male: She comes after you desperate for sex. You lose actions and she loses like.    

She now has the Distracted status.

Fred has been overcome with need and the consequences are:

Female on Male: She comes after you desperate for sex. You lose actions and she loses like.

She now has the Wanting status.    

The base lust and need gained this turn is 9                                                

It is now turn 3 and you need to improve girls embrace status by another 48 to win the game.

“Why did Cordy lose an action?” Xander asked.

“Really? That’s your question? Not excitement over Fred and Cordy coming for you.”

“There’s nothing I can do about that part. Why is Cordy losing an action?”

“It’s random. The girls will increasingly lose more and more actions over the course of the game. As an extra incentive to keep you moving.”

“Figures,” Xander said as he looked to the bottom of the screen.

Xander has improved girls’ embrace enough to pick up a sexual skill. You currently have the following: None

Viking in the Sack - Reduces lust, cures frustrated - Frustrated prevents a girl from taking part in problem solving.    

Long Lasting - Reduces need, cures wanting - Wanting prevents a girl from taking part in group activities.    

Tender Lover - Increases desires, cures neglected - Neglected causes higher lust/need gain per turn.    

Relaxed Sex - Increases friendship, cures horny - Horny causes a girl to have one less action per turn.    

Inventive - Gains stat points, cures distracted - Distracted prevents a girl from taking part in battles.        

“What’s this?”

“As girl’s embrace improves, so will your sexual skills. You have a choice of how exactly you want to improve. Each skill gives a benefit, such as reducing more lust or increasing desire during sex acts, and also helps lower the cost to cure one of the sexual negatives the girls can pick up.”

Xander looked up to the negative statuses the girl’s had. Distracted prevented Cordy from taking part in battle, not that he was planning on sending her into battle anything soon. Wanting prevented a girl from being involved in group activities, and he really needed Fred as a part of those. And keeping need under control seemed a more pressing concern than the points they could get from sexual training.

Not that the thought of training via sex wasn’t incredibly tempting, but Xander kept his focus on the priorities for the moment.

He took long lasting and the world faded away.
