The Author Speaks
Hi all, just though I’d take a moment while the next chapter is being beta-read by Joe (the guy responsible for the story and the inspiration behind the name and character of our protagonist) to reply to the reviews so far.
Cancan227: Well, I hope you like what I’ve done with the story.
Psychosomatic: would be interesting to see what you think of it now.
Jennilee: I hear and I obey ;) Hope you like what I have planned for Buffy in the last two chapters. Sorry if you don’t like the Dawn/Xander aspect, but I do have some serious smut planned for Buffy in the last chapter, so keep reading.
Anon #1: I’ve had emails about that, and I offered Joe the chance to write a flashback, but he wasn’t interested.
FallenAngelgirl: no plans for any vamp-sex, or indeed any vampires at all, outside of passing references.
Anon #2: not something I have any experience of being on the receiving end of, so I doubt I’d be able to write it correctly.
Oric 13: big fan of your work, so it’s nice to know that you like my work. But there are only two thing I’ll never write; M/M slash and Incest. I know you did “Thanks for lending me your body, B”, and it’s a hot story (in its given context), but it’s not something I’d be comfortable writing. But yeah; there will be a special treat for Xander’s birthday. But I’m afraid you’ll have to wait until the last chapter for that.
Smiley: no DawnSlut here. I know where you can find some if that’s what you want (I’ll try and talk Joe into posting some of his work here), but that’s not what I have planned. Plenty of DawnSex in the next two chapters, but like I told Oric, no Incest. Faith will be mentioned in passing, but will not be making an appearance. No plans for any more flashbacks as such.
NA: I wouldn’t say that Dawn’s a bitch; she’s just not as repressed as Buffy. Joe and I have had long conversations over messenger about Dawn and sex (we SO need to get out more...), and I have to agree that his point of view (Dawn’s body isn’t really human, so why should it matter to her what she does with it as long as she had fun?) has its uses in some stories. Maybe one day I’ll write a story where Dawn’s the prude, but that’s not the point of this fic. If you think it’s disturbing so far, then, as the song says, you ain’t seen nothing yet...
Anyway, thank you all for reviewing, and those of you who’ve been reading but not reviewing, please take the time to scribble down a few words of encouragement: us writers live for it.
Two more chapters planed; Work Ethic and Promotion, and then that’s it, unless Joe starts paying me.
