Chapter Four
Title: Stolen Destiny. Chapter Four.
Rating: R (For the time being.)
Summary: What if in season four of Buffy, Faith did happen to take that flight out of the country and not decide to save those in the church? And what if Buffy was left with nowhere to go other than Los Angeles to see a certain vampire who'd be most likely to believe her?
Briefing: Just so you know, Buffy had gone to Giles to explain what happened, but unfortunately for her, he didn't believe her. Before Willow and Tara could arrive, she had fled while Giles made calls to the others(The Scoobies, Buffy included) to let them know what 'Faith' was trying to pull. The Scoobies had met up at the Church where a group of vampires were holding civilians hostage. They, with the help of the Initiative, were able to take down the vampires. Faith in Buffy's body never comign to help. Instead she landed herself the first ticket out of Sunnydale and off to Mexico. Angel is still in Los Angeles with Wesley and Cordelia. The Hyperion comes into play a little earlier than in the show. Just 'cos I think it's a neat place. :P There you have it.
Disclaimer: I do not own anything here, save for the storyline. All characters and the like are trademark properties of Joss Whedon, Fox, Mutant Enemy and it's affiliates. If lyrics are used, their also obviously copyrighted to their owners and etc. Please don't sue. I'm just a poor girl. Really, I am.
Pairings: Buffy(In Faith's body)/Angel, Faith(In Buffy's body.)/Various Original Characters, Willow/Tara, Xander/Faith(In Buffy's body.) -I know, confusing.
A/N: I know. I slacked. But with so much bullshit from work going on here, I haven't had time to work on fanfiction. That shall change starting now. :) I shall be updating all of my fanfiction that needs to be updated. Thank you once again to the reviews I've had on previous chapters. Reading them made me really have the urge to get back into writing.

// Los Angeles; Hyperion. //
"Is he gonna be okay?" Buffy asked peering down at the still unconsious former Watcher who lay on one of the hundred spare beds in the hotel.
Angel nodded in reply. There were a pair of eyes staring coldly into her back. "Do you have something to say?" The Slayer asked the visionary. Her head canted to peer over her shoulder at the eye leveled other brunette.
"You might have Angel confused, but I know better." Cordelia spat, "You aren't Buffy. There's no way that this is at all possible." She concluded.
"Riiiiiight." Buffy started slowly, "So says the girl who gets visions, and yeah, Angel told me about what Doyle gave you a while back." There was some proof that she was who she said she was, despite looking like who she wasn't. Ugh, still so mind boggling.
Cordelia met Angel's eyes as if to ask why, and all the vampire did was shrug. With a quick gesture Wesley's way, there was silent communication for Cordelia to watch over him. Nodding the brunette sank to a nearby chair with a fashion magazine. Trying to keep to herself as Angel led Buffy out of the room, door closing.
In silence the former lovers walked side by side down the corridor heading for the staircase. There was not a word spoken even as they reached the lobby and then the main office. How was she supposed to start a conversation in the body of the woman who was somewhat the reason they had been driven apart? On some levels of their still rocky relationship. Which was strictly platonic!
"When?" Angel decided to start the conversation for them, throwing the once blonde Slayer off a second.
"When what?" Realizing she wasn't in a dream, Buffy answered solemnly, "Yesterday. I tried telling Giles, but he figured it was an attempt by Faith to mess with his head." Rolling her eyes and sinking into a chair, legs crossed at the ankles rather than else where. The clothing she had on was too constricting. And the tight jeans were so something she did not want to get used to; ever. "I would've thought him to get the clue that Faith isn't that smart to make something as elaborate as this up." Noting she was eating her own words, since Faith actually came up with a way to physically succeed in doing this, Buffy mentally slapped herself.
The brooding vampire sat at the edge of his desk, his body leaning in towards Buffy some. Studying her features. "Did she use a spell? I know it's you Buffy. But the how this happened, despite seeing the things I have, is a little confusing. Faith was in a coma, she hadn't the resources to plot this in enough time." Concern knitted his features.
"She was out of the coma two days ago. I was busy looking for her." Now Angel looked hurt, "I would have called you if she wasn't running around causing chaos. I found out she was up and running when she decided to drop by school for a visit." Buffy retaliated, feeling boxed into a corner at Angel's expression.
Curling his fingers around the under edge of the cherry oak desk, Angel's brows furrowed together, "I'm not accusing you of being at fault, understand that Buffy. I just want to help you. If you tell me exactly what happened, I can get Wes into research mode when he wakes up and give a ring to Giles."
There was a reluctant hesitation in Buffy's head shaking, "Don't call him. Not yet. He might not believe you. Cos lets be honest, you and him don't have the stable relationship for him to fully trust you." And yeah, she might have had some part of in that reason. Not entirely though. Uh uh. "As far as to what happened, well, this is how it all started."
About a half of an hour later passed with all the information out in the open.
The brooding vampire paced, as the Slayer adjusted in her seat. Certain undergarments were riding in places they should never. And since when did Faith wear underwear? Yet there was no way she was going to ask for clothing. Cordelia's were likely far worse than Faith's. But in a tactful way. If ever such a thing exists. "So, the hand thing-y went poof or went with Faith where ever she is. And that's likely back in Sunnydale where she's living it up as me." A wave of tiredness swept over her. Assuming it was her soul that was tired and not the eight or nine month rested once comatose body, Buffy forced it aside.
"What if I give Willow a call a little later on? Ask if she's seen Fa...you?" The vampire offered a hand for the obviously drained Slayer, "I'll let her know not to tell you that I called. She keeps her word on that account." If only he thought before he spoke. Looking at Faith's face and trying to consciously remember it was Buffy who he was speaking with was proving to be more than difficult.
"We'll talk about that another time." Was all Buffy said when taking the outstretched hand to lift herself to her feet. A miscalculated step had the doe eyed beauty pressed up against Angel and there were reactions she knew any man, although she prayed Angel never did or would, had to Faith against them.
"Sorry." Both said in unison. Angel tried hard not to look down the obvious clevage shown of Faith's, that Buffy now embodied. Buffy on the other hand tried not to rub against the growing excitement probbing below her stomach. A place it normally didn't given her usual height.
"Don't be sorry. Was my bad. I'm still not used to these long legs." She admitted. Easing her hands away from his, Buffy felt the restriction of pulling her hands free of his. Angel held tightly onto the not so small hands.
"I..." Angel stammered, his eyes shutting tightly so that way he couldn't see what he was about to do. And that was submit to temptation and press cold lips against warm ones. What came next was the response he both hoped for and prayed didn't come. His inner demon battled with his soul and the man in him waged on another part.
Returning the kiss, Buffy's arms flew to let hands grasp the side of his face. To feel the contact of flesh to flesh in anything but hand holding. All of her pent up fear and anger was released in one giant rush of passion.
But would they be adding more chaos to their plate by letting go of themselves like this?
-TBC (Bad Buffy and Angel! They should know that getting naughty in any body is likely bad news. But shh, I won't tell them if you won't. ;o) R&R please!)
