Where are you Christmas, Part
4
Spike
could hear Angel on the phone. He was in the kitchen warming up some blood for
both of them. He padded out on his bare feet but wearing some sweatpants and
took in the sight of Angel. Bare muscular chest, the best parts was covered up
with sweatpants though. And he was on the phone. Getting mad. It was a sight
to behold. He sat down on the sofa putting one mug on the table gesturing
toward it at Angel.
Angel
waved his thanks and continued his phone call. "Look, Eve, I don't care
what time or day it is. I am the CEO of Wolfram and Hart and you do what ever
the hell I tell you! You told me the firm didn't celebrate Christmas to begin
with, so I fail to see the problem."
If
the look he was giving the phone could be seen on the other side, Spike was
sure Eve would have done what they had asked immediately. It had already taken
Angel the better part of four hours to track down the woman in the first
place. And now he was on the phone with her for over an hour already, arguing.
"Yes,
for the umpteenth time, you heard me correctly, I.want.snow. Now do you want
me to get <i>really</i&angrangry or what's the deal?" Angel
listened to what ever the bint was saying and threw Spike a puzzled look. He
lowered the mouth piece for a moment, "Do we want snow in all of LA or
just a particular spot?" he asked.
Spike
thought this over for a moment. "All of LA from Christmas until New Years
day and it better be clouded," he answered.
Angel
nodded his agreement and informed Eve of their decision. "Yes, Eve today!"
He
slammed the phone down and rolled
his eyes toward Spike who smirked back. Eve was in for some trouble when
Wolfram and Hart came back to life in the new year after the holidays.
Expectantly
they both stood up to gaze out the window. They looked up at the sky, then
looked down on the city and back up at the sky. Angel checked his watch. How
long could it take for a formerly evil law firm to magic up some snow?
Spike
sighed and walked back into the bedroom. This might take a while, but Angel
had told Eve today, so that meant there was going to be snow today.
He looked down at Wesley still deep asleep in their bed. He was still on his
stomach but the blankets had slid down exposing his naked ass.
Before
Spike was able to drool appropriately over said ass, the blankets were pulled
up again by Angel who had come fterfter him. The older vampire joined him by
the window and looked at Wesley too. "He so cute when he's asleep,"
he whispered, not wanting to disturb the sleeping man.
"So
am I," Spike smirked. That earned him a smack from Angel.
"You
know what I mean," He whispered a little harder.
"Yeah
yeah," Spike said, "He looks so relaxed and carefree when he's
sleeping. And very cute," giving a pointed look to Angel.
"Spike,
look!" Angel suddenly shoved
him in the back.
Turning
around with a frown, Spike followed Angel's finger to find out it had begun to
snow outside.
Both
vampires glanced at the clock. Less then fifteen minutes, impressive. They
watched as in a short period of time the entire City Of Angels was covered in
a thick white layer of snow.
They
smiled at each other and then made their way over to the closet. They got
dressed in some winterish clothing. Both being vampires the temperature didn't
bother them much either way, but it was the visual image that counted. They
picked out some warm clothes for Wesley and moved over to the bed.
Spike
was practically bouncing on his feet with excitement. He hoped that Wes would
like their little surprise.
Bending
over Angel softly shook Wesley and placed a kiss on the back of his neck.
"Hey Wes wake up, we got something to show you."
Two
bright blue ope opened and blearily looked from one vampire to the other.
"Hmmm? What is it?" Wesley asked trying to rub the sleep out of his
eyes.
"It's
a surprise!" Spike said bouncing for real now.
Wesley
blinked at him and grinned at Spike's enthusiasm. He leaned over to fish his
boxers of the floor, pulled them on and dragged himself out of bed., when a
sudden fear gripped him.
"Alright
what is the matter now? What did you two do?" he asked looking at them
curiously. He couldn't think of one thing either vampire would come up with to
surprise him. Considering the things they had come up with thus far. He was a
little afraid what it could be this time.
Angel
grabbed him by the shoulders and turned him around. Spike grabbed an arm and
bodily dragged him over to the window.
Wesley
blinked. Rubbed his eyes and blinked again. No, he was still seeing snow in
LA. Then he pinched himself and winced when it hurt. It was real. He was
speechless. His mouth hung open in awe and he looked from a nervous smiling
Angel to a still bouncing Spike.
"Watcha
think?" Spike could no longer contain himself, he had to know what Wesley
thought of their little surprise.
"It's
snowing?" Wesley asked softly. He took in the appearance of both men more
closely and noticed they had dressed appropriately for the snow or cold
weather anyway. "You did this?" he asked pointing out the window.
"Yup,"
Spike said and he was nodding so hard Wesley thought his head would roll off.
He
looked over at Angel who was taking turns staring at the snow and Wesley,
wringing his hands nervously. "You uh....you like it?"
"You
did this for me?" Wesley whispered. He could feel himself overflowing
with love for these two creatures of the night.
"Yup!"
Spike said again, grinning out the window.
"I...I
don't know what to say, thank you," Wesley said. He leaned in to kiss
Angel softly and then he turned to do the same to Spike.
Spike
pulled back from the kiss, although reluctantly. "Come on! Enough with
the mushy stuff. Lets go enjoy the snow."
He tossed Wesley the clothings they had chosen for him.
Grinning at both Spike and
Angel, the ex-watcher quickly got dressed and followed theer ter two out of
the building into the snow.
Wesley could see his breath
coming out of his mouth; he could feel the cold air on his skin. He held out
his hand to catch a few snowflakes. He laughed out loud when he watched Spike
and Angel throw snow at each other before they gathered more snow to build a
snowman. They had both done this for him. So it would be more Christmas-like
for him, so he would have the best Christmas he ever had.
He haen aen avoiding Christmas
for days now, sure that this year, there wasn't going to be a Merry Christmas
for him. It had been lost to him. But he had been wrong. Christmas was right
under his nose this entire time. He hast bst been to focused on other things
to see it. It had been there in the form of one bleached blond English vampire
and one big, sometimes dense Irimerimerican vampire. Who loved him. Who he
loved back.
Cordelia had been right, as she
always had been, Wesley thought. Sometimes he could be really stupid. He had
found Christmas, he founfound love, and he was going to hold on with both his...now
frozen hands.
It reminded him of a quote he
once heard. 'Enjoy life. There's plenty of time to be dead', it had said.
Whomever had thought of that quote obviously had never met
Spike or Angel. They might not have enjoyed life much, but they sure as
hell were enjoying death at the moment.
He was rudely awoken from his
thoughts when a snowball hit him on the chest. He glared at Angel and Spike
who were looking around innocently. Yes right, like neither of them had just
done that.
Gathering some snow himself,
Wesley made several snowballs and started to walk slowly over to Angel and
Spike. With his perfect aim he bombarded them with snowballs and he had the
odd pleasure of watching two of the most vicious, evil and violent creatures
known in history of mankind giggle like little girls.
Yes, life, or un-life, was good
when you knew what to look for. And Christmas wasn't as bad as he thought it
was. Wesley smiled evilly, got ready for a second attack and was already
looking forward to hot chocolate afterward and maybe some other activities to
warm up.
