Chapter 3
She was left gasping and panting for air. She reached for Spike's face and dragged his lips to hers. She kissed him and then guided his mouth to her neck. He looked down at his previous bite and it called to him. Practically begged him to bite her. With a fierce growl he sank his fangs into her neck and drank deep.
She moaned loudly against his shoulder as she came, releasing a new flood of her hot essence. She nipped at his shoulder with her teeth. Spike growled against her neck and climaxed, sending his cold seed deep within her body. He removed his fangs from her neck and kissed the wound, licking the tiny trickle of blood that still seeped.
They didn't stop moving or holding onto one another.
"Want you."
"Want you more."
They both cried out as they came together again.

(song Raining on Sunday By Keith Urban)
This time when Buffy woke up, Spike's body was curled around hers. She smiled as he purred in her ear. She was so happy, she couldn't believe this man could make her as happy as she was. She pulled his arm from around her waist to her mouth and kissed it. Spike murmured in his sleep and pulled her even tighter against him. Buffy smiled again and closed her eyes. Not wanting to move from the comforting circle of his arms. She could hear the rain pounding outside. Thunder claps sounded and lightning zig-zagged across the sky. In her mind a voice was singing.
It ticks just like a Timex
It never lets up on you
Who said life was easy
The job is never through
It'll run us 'til we're ragged
It'll harden our hearts
And love could use a day of rest
Before we both start falling apart.....
In front of her Spike was looking deep into her green eyes and singing to her. He held her close to him and stroked her face.
Pray that it's raining on Sunday
Stormin' like crazy
We'll hide under the covers all afternoon
Baby whatever comes Monday
Can take care of itself
"Cause we got better things that we could do
When it's raining on Sunday....
Buffy rested her head against his shoulder as he sang. His voice deep and beautiful.
Your love is like religion
A cross in Mexico
And your kiss is like the innocence
Of a prayer nailed to a door
Of surrender is much sweeter
When we both let it go
Let the water wash our bodies clean
And love wash our souls......
Buffy was being twirled. Her body never losing touch with Spike's. She laughed softly as he dipped her.
Pray that it's raining on Sunday
Stormin' like crazy
We'll hide under the covers all afternoon
Baby whatever comes Monday
Can take care of itself
'Cause we got better things that we could do
When its raining on Sunday..........
Buffy smiled in her sleep and snuggled closer to Spike. He clutched at her protectively.
"When it’s raining on Sunday......Let it rain," Spike sang aloud from his sleep.

As the couple slept two tiny lights appeared overhead, watching them. One pink, one blue.
"Look at the two of them."
"S lov love with each other. Even though she won't admit it yet."
"What do you say we give them a little surprise?" The blue light asked the pink one.
"Do you think they will be able to handle it?"
"I think they will handle it better then they think they will. They need something, a certain something that will bind them together. Tighter then they ever imagined," the blue light said as it sprinkled what appeared to be twinkling gold dust over them. The two lights smiled and vanished, leaving the pair oblivious to what was happening.

The rain was starting to let up and the gray sky fell to black. Spike opened his sleepy eyes and smiled at the sleeping slayer in his arms. He kissed her temple and nuzzled her neck.
"I don't want to get up," she whined as Spike tried to rouse her.
"Luv, its sundown. I’m sure little bit is wondering where you are."
"I know but I still don't want to move," she replied turning over so they were face to face.
"I could always walk you home," he replied kissing the tip of Buffy's nose.
"And then I could walk you back to your crypt," she said kissing him.
"And then I would walk you back."
"And we would keep doing this until when?"
"Who bloody cares?" he replied kissing her hard and pinning her to the mattress.
"Spike.." she said breathlessly.
"Need you too," he breathed huskily. Buffy sighed and wound her arms around Spike's neck pulling him closer. Clutching at him like he was her life line. She was drowning in him, his eyes, his love, his everything.
"How is it that you can read me through my eyes?" She asked as she broke their kiss.
"Vampire thing," he said and then laughed when Buffy rolled her eyes.

It was almost 3 hours later when Buffy finally pulled herself out of Spike's arms and headed home. She smiled and laughed to herself as she walked through the cemetery to her house. Butterflies flying around in her stomach when she thought of Spike being so tender and gentle with her. She wrapped her arms around herself as she reached her porch. She didn't want to go in yet. She knew there would be lots of questions and she wasn't really ready to answer them. Breathing in gulp of fresh air she opened the door and walked inside.
"Hey Buff," Xander said from his seat on the couch.
Buffy rounded the corner and saw Dawn, Anya and Xander playing poker. She almost laughed out loud when she pictured Spike and his friends playing for kittens.
"Where ya been?" Dawn asked as she got up and walked over to her sister.
"Patrolling and walking around. I must have lost track of time," Buffy replied hating to lie but not ready to tell where she really was.
"Is that right?" Dawn asked her getting a little closer.
"So how come I smell just the slightest hint of leather and smoke on you?" Dawn said under her breath, low enough that only Buffy could hear her.
"I.........uh..." Buffy stammered as her wide green eyes locked on those of her sisters.
"Uh huh," Dawn mocked and laughed when she saw Buffy's turn 3 different shades of red.
"I think I'll go upstairs now," Buffy replied trying to get her face to turn her normal color.
Dawn laughed and winked at her before walking back to Xander and Anya.
Buffy rolled her eyes and started up the stairs.

Buffy had just gotten out of the shower when she heard her name being called.
"I'll be right out," she yelled. Wrapping her fluffy robe around herself she stepped out of the steam filled bathroom.
"Oh there you are," Willow said and smiled. "I was thinking, we haven't spent that much time together as group lately. Are you up for going to the Bronze?"
"Oooh good idea Will. Nothing like a scoobie night out," Buffy said as she smiled and turned walking into her room.

Spike lay in his bed milling over the past days events. He was reluctant to leave the satin sheets that were fresh with her scent. His dead heart fluttered reminding him what it was like to be in love and be loved in return. Even if she wasn't ready to admit it. Which was fine to him as long as she showed it.
He closed his eyes and felt so happy. Happier then he had ever felt in his un-dead or even his life ever.
With a smile on his face he finally dragged himself out of bed. He pulled on a pair of black jeans and a deep blue shirt that matched his eyes. As he was pulling on his boots he felt a sudden urge to go to the Bronze.
"Yeah I could use a beer and a game of pool," he said as he grabbed his duster and shut the crypt door behind him.
