Visionary Kiss III 2

Visionary Kiss III Part 2

INT. TEMPLE RUINS, THE CITY OF THE DEATH, - DAY (1933)

Rick O’Connell walked; not for the first time this year, through the dark chambers of an old, really old, dusty ruin of a temple. Following the reason for him being here; The woman he loved more than his own life, the woman who apparently loved these dusty, old, dirty ruins as much more as he.

He watched her as she once again stopped to study the old language written on each of the walls. Lost in her own world, spider linens and a lot of dust in her hair. Just as she walked into the next chamber, he wanted nothing more than to follow, and grab her for a fiery kiss, but he was stopped by a sound.

Rick reached for his gun and slowly walked done along the wall, his torch in one hand his gun in the other. He looked down each of the arcades, making sure that no one was there.

The memories still fresh from the last time his wife had found something that was not as dead as thad aad all believed; he wanted to make sure that nothing was there. And finally after he had convinced himself that nobody was there, he smiled at his over- reaction.

He turned, still smiling only to nearly scream like a little girl that had found a spider in the bathtub, as he looked straight into the face of his son.

"Alex?” Rick called out, as they both jumped apart.

“What were you thinking? That a mummy came to life? ” The small boy said giggling, falling over.

“One day I will tell you something about mummies. What is it, Alex? It’s dangerous down here," Rick said to his eight-year-old son, who looked and acted just like his mother.

“But Dad, I saw your tattoo near the door up there!” Alex saidintiinting to his dad’s hand, on which he could see the tattoo.

“Really?” O’Connell said, not really listening to his son.

“Yes Dad, It’s the same, you know with he pyramid with the eyes of Horus in the center.” The small boy said.

O’Connell first looked at his son then to the tattoo, he knew nothing about it, the tattoo had been there his whole life. Most of the time he just forgot about it, his wife had finally after months of being married rarely noticed it.

But his son was enthusiastic about it, even when he had been nothing more than a small Bundle he had tried to cover it with his small fingers.

“Come one Dad, it’s the same picture near the d Com Come and see.” Alex said, bouncing up and down.

“I´ll come in a minute. Now I have to help your mom, and you have to go back up the stairs.” Rick said and then watched as Alex, his head hanging walked back the way he had moments before came in through.

“But …but….what should I do, it’s boring up there.” The small boy kicked little stones that once had been part of the corridor walls. It was just not fair, that he had to wait and sit around in the boring main hall, while his parents could wander through all these chambers filled with treasures of a long lost world.

“And Dad is not even interested in what I found.” Alex groused, for the first time he himself had found something really cool and nobody wanted to hear about it.

“Why don’t you build a mousetrap that works.” Rick called out and then started mumbling, “While your mother sure as hell is ransacking the grave of a poor soul.”

Evelyn did not understand what had been talking about, but knew that Rick had taken care about it, while she studied a strange picture on a large door. It showed two people in a fight- nothing special at the first look, but after looking closer she noticed that pic picture, showed two women and not two men.

This picture touched something inside of her soul, not able to see the faces she moved closer and closer, tracing the figures with her fingertips.

She knew this woman, why she did not know, but she was sure that the answer to this question was behind this door. She looked down to the floor, thinking, to find a poisonous snake at her feet.

Without thinking twice she kicked the dangerous animal away, “Get lost.”

Jumping out of the way, Rick looked at Evelyn, “You know that they are poisonous.”

“Only if you get bitten.” Was her answer and than she remembered her son, “What did Alex want?”

“Nothing special, he just wanted to show me something, but believe me, each day that passes he becomes more like you.” He said as he walked over to where his wife was standing, again thinking about kissing her.

“You mean Attractive, lovable and charming?” the dark haired woman asked, her eyes glittering in the light of the torch.

“I was more thinking, `driving me nuts`.” He moved over to the picture on the door, and finally kissed her. “So where were we?”

“Hammer and chisel” Evey said holding up the smallest ones Rick had ever seen. What made him give her a look that told her that he would not use them?

“Alright, we do our our way.” She said, putting them away.

Getting hold of the Crowbar, Rick only had to push once, and the Door fell down. Leaving a big opening to yet another chamber. Evey walked into the room, which was filled to overflowing with mummies and scorpions, jumping over the floor avoiding the little insects, while her husband just crushed them under his feet.

“Since I had this dream, I can’t stop thinking about this place.” said Evelyn.

“Since you had this dream I can’t sleep at night.” Rick told her matter of fact, his fingers closing harder around the crowbar.

“I just know this place. I have the feeling I was here.”

“You know it from a book,” Rick said. “Somebody closed that door before you were born.”

“No Rick. I remember it. I know everything about this room.” With this said she pulled on a handle and another door opened, “Then tell me why I know all this?”

Alex looked up from his mousetrap, already knowing that the mouse that was following the smell of the food would soon be the first test object. Still he wished that his Dad had followed him, to take a look at the picture above his head.

But at least he was no longer bored. As always his father had been able to make him do something, he would never have thought of.

Last time his Dad had wanted him out of their way, he had told Alex to find a better way for steering camels and still today, traveling the last miles to this temple they had used his improved Harness.

Smiling the boy looked once again at the picture that was a perfect copy of his fathers tattoo, as he heard voices. He turned and hurried around a corner, listening to them.

Three men entered the main hall, each of them looking criminal, unwashed and untidy.

“Knock, knock, somebody home?” one of them called, his gun already in his hand.

Not able to see Alex, the man turned towards his fellows, “You search here, while I go after the O’Connell’s.”

EXT. TREASURE CHAMBER TEMPLE, THE CITY OF THE DEATH, - DAY

Holding out the torch, Evey walked into the chamber, to find herself in the year 1290 BC.

EXT. TREASURE CHAMBER TEMPLE, THE CITY OF THE DEATH, - DAY (1290 BC)

The room was no longer dusty and dirty, the walls shimmered in gold, reflecting dozens of torches that were lit in the small chamber. Evovedoved her torch in a wild manner, certain that she finally was loosing her mind.

Then the door right in front of Evelyn was opened and a woman, not just any woman but the woman from the picture came through.

For a short moment Evelyn could see into the chamber behind the door, where a big golden box was standing on an altar, flanked by two guards.

Then the door was closed by the woman, and Evelyn watched her use a seal similar to the one that had been used on the book of the living, the Book of the Dead and not to forget on Imhotep.

Then the woman turned and started to walk towards Evelyn, but before she could reach her Rick walked into the room, and Evelyn was back in the present.

EXT. TREASURE CHAMBER TEMPLE, THE CITY OF THE DEATH, - DAY (1933)

Evey was shocked, not sure that this had really happened she started to move her torch in a wild manner once again, wanting to make sure that there was nothing.

“You know if you do this fast enough you can write your name.” Rick said as he looked over towards her, while he tried to open the door. But this time hd nod no luck, this door did not even move a little.

“I had a vision, just like my dream but more realistic. It’s as if I was already in this room, I can remember each detail, just like I do with our living room.” She said, already walking towards the door.

“So if you know this room, maybe you can help me open this door?” Rick asked, not really believing her; regardless of his life-experiences he was yet to convince himself of the supernatural experiences his wife seemed to be having.

But as he watched his wife, reaching out, and opening the door, without any problem, all the color from his face drained, “I think this is a little creepy, I’m getting afraid of you.”

“You tell me," shaking her head she looked down onto her hands. " I’m already afraid of myself.”
