Visionary Kiss II Part 28
INT. TREASURE CHAMBER - DAY
A dusty breeze blew into the chamber as the men backed away from the moving mummy pieces.
The floor where they were just standing suddenly started to move.
Two more mummies slowly dug their way up out of the floor.
More mummies started coming out of the wall and crawling out of the piles of gold.
All the mummies headed for them.
Rick lifted the gun, to be stopped by Bay.
"My turn."
Ardeth opened up with the Lewis-gun, blasting the shit out of the mummies.
But they just continued coming.
Even more now.
Rick again opened fire with the elephant gun, pumping and firing as all three of the men backed away and fled.
The mummies and mummy pieces just followed them into the passageway. Not impressed by the guns and speed of the men.
Just as the last mummy piece found it's way into the passageway, Beni crept into the chamber.
He started in wonder at all the treasures, blinded by them, like the others had been only moments before.
Only this time there were no mummies that stopped his drooling as he fell backwards into a pile of jewels and started to roll about.
"Ha! You were all wrong! I will not die and if, I will do it as an old rich man."
INT. CEMETERY - DAY
Evelyn woke up with a start, still lying chained to the top of the altar, she listened to the gunshots that now seemed to be nearer than before.
She blinked, then turned her head, and was shocked as she looked right into the rotten face of Anck-su-namun's corpse.
Evey screamed.
INT. LABYRINTH PASSAGEWAYS - DAY
The elephant gun fired, tingting flames and smoke right into the lens.
Rick, bay and Jonathan raced down a passageway, a dozen mummies striding after them.
"This whole place is comin', alive!" O'Connell screamed as the men raced around a corner.
More mummies.
They raced around another corner.
More mummies.
Onward they came.
Methodical.
Relentless.
Boxing the men in.
Still Rick and Ardeth Bay fired.
Then there was this clicking sound that nobody wanted to hear.
Bay looked up, "I'm out!"
He threw the machine-gun down and they all raced into.
HORUS CHAMBER - DAY
A small chamber, the lower half of the giant statue of Horus that was standing in the middle of the chamber.
Jonathan moaned, "There he is!" They moved over up to the base of the statue, "Hello Horus old boy."
O'Connell looked back at the mummies coming down the passageway.
He reached into his sack and pulled out a stick of dynamite.
Ardeth Bay tapped him on the shoulder. "Allow me."
Rick just handed him the dynamite and a match, then he turned away to look at the statue.
Ardeth reached forward and lit the match at O'Connell's stubbly face.
This time it was the American that yelped.
The mumia lit the dynamite and threw it down into the corridor; the three men hit the deck, just as the dynamite exploded.
Ripping apart the creatures, causing a cave-in and sealing the chamber on this side with rocks and dirt. Now only one other way out of the chamber was left, another dark, creepy hallway.
INT. LABYRINTH PASSAGEWAYS - DAY
Willow pushed a mummy out of the way, as she heard and felt the explosion.
"I think this means you are still alive."
Standing in front of a solid wall she reached out with her magic and smiled as she felt them.
INT. CEMETERY- DAY
Chained tight to the top of the altar, Evelyn hopelessly tried to struggle to free herself. The Ropes cutting deep into her flesh, leaving grazes and haematomas on her skin, but she did not feel the pain her body flood with fear and adrenalin.
She stopped and could only watch as Priest mummies started to surround the altar.
Evey was horrified as the hideous mummies kneeled down and began to chant, what sounded even more horrific due the lack of tongues, jaws and mouths in the room.
Imhotep stepped up carrying the black Book of the Dead. Finally it was time in a few minutes he would have his love back and they would rule the world, to never be separated again.
His hand reached out an lovingly caressed Anck-su-namun's decayed cheek.
INT. HORUS CHAMBER - DAY
O'Connell and Jonathan were digging away at the seams of the secret compartment, and finally it started to give.
Ardeth Bay looked over his shoulder and spotted another group of rotting mummies coming down the dark passageway, the only left way out of the chamber, heading right for them.
At the sound of slurping steps Rick looked up, "These guys just don't quit."
Bay grabbed the elephant gun, a handful of shells and run off towards the mummies, "Keep digging!"
Jonathan and O'Connell redoubled their efforts, pulling harder on the seam. The compartment started to loosen. About to give.
Keeping on digging, both remembered the salt acid that had sprayed out the last time somebody had done something like this not to far away.
The tension mounted and then a skeletal hand shot out of the ground and grabbed O'Connell's ankle.
Several more crippled hands burst up out of the ground. Rick and Jonathan struggled with the mummies as they crawled up out of the dirt floor.
One of the mummies violently shoved O'Connell away. Another grabbed Jonathan by the throat and started to strangle him.
A third mummy grabbed at the secret compartment and pulled hard. An intense burst of acid sprayed out of the seam and hit all three of the Mummies. The one strangling Jonathan got it in the back and dropped him. All of the three mummies melted horribly.
INT. CEMETERY- DAY
Imhotep began to read from the Book Of The Dead. A large swirling hole started to open in the detritus bog.
Evelyn not able to flee or scream watched eyes widen in amazement and horror.
IINT. HORUS CHAMBER - DAY
Bay blasted away at the oncoming mummies. Over the at the base of the statue, O'Connell and Jonathan pulled an ornate chest out of the secret compartment.
Rick ripped of the lid, reached inside and pulled out a heavy burlap bag.
He and Jonathan exchanged nervous, excited looks. Then he reached into the bag and slowly pulled out the solid gold Book Of The Living, the light reflected off their faces as they stared at it in wonder.
The elephant gun clicked, empty.
Ardeth Bay took it by the barrel and waded into the remaining mummies swinging, "Save the girl! Kill the creature if needed but stop him!"
The mummies quickly overwhelmed and started to tear him apart.
Rick reached into his pocket, searching, to look up into Jonathans face. Holding out his empty hand, "I think we already used the last one."
Before they had a chance to understand the full meaning of this the debris collapsed, blowing the wall away, leaving a hole.
"What is it you are waiting for? We have to hurry he started, I can feel it." Willow screamed at the shocked men, to turn and hurry down the dark corridor, never looking back.
O'Connell and Jonathan raced out through the hole just as the remaining mummies entered the chamber.
