The discovery
Sorry this one is so short, the next one is a lot longer though.
Thank-you to Anon who has reviewed me already. I'm a whore for reviews, and if you tell me what you think then I'll be your bitch forever - if I'm not already..... ;)

Dawn had given up trying to make Buffy talk to her. She wanted to call Willow, but she wasn't at Xander's and no one was answering the phone at the Magic Box. She was watching TV when she heard the knock on the door, and when she opened it she saw a peroxide blonde standing in the doorway, clutching a bouquet if flowers.
"Oh... my God - you know how pathetic you look?" Giggled the 15 year old as she stared at Spike, who looked very awkward.
"You think she'll know I'm sorry?" He asked.
Dawn looked down. "She still hasn't left her room, a-and she's not talking to me. I guess she'll calm down by the morning."
"Lemme see." Dawn moved aside so Spike could walk in and she followed him upstairs. "Buffy?" He called as he reached her door. "Buffy!" He started banging and calling out to her, when he caught a definate smell of blood. Buffy's blood. "BUFFY!" Throwing himself at the wooden door, he burst into her bedrrom the little slayer sitting still on her bed with a deep cut in each wrist and a knife held loosely in her hand.
"Oh.... oh God." Dawn whispered hoarsly, as they both stood frozen, eyes glued to the limp body that lay in front of them. Spike snapped out of it first, and ran towards her.
"Buffy, c'mon love! Get up! Buffy... please be alive, be alive, be alive..." He caried on chanting as he pressed his head to her chest. He was greeted with the sound of her faint, yet unmistalable heartbeat. "Good girl." He looked at her wrists frantically. The were still slowly bleeding. "Dawn" Go get bandages!" He yelled. She ran. Whilst waiting for her to return, he took off his duster and wrapped it around the slayer's small body in an attempt to keep it warm. "Good girl." He repeated. "Good girl."
