I do not own Buffy the Vampire Slayer (BtVS), nor any of the characters from it. I do not make any money from the writing of this story.
PART 3: a rose isn't always a rose
Dedication: To Janet, the first person from SnW who emailed me about my other fiction... thanks babe... I had forgotten about most of it. To Fayth... who makes me feel like a crappy writer because she's so good but that's a good thing cause she makes me want to try harder!
THANKS – To the Lollipops!
"William!" She squeaked half in surprise, half in excitement. Composing herself she asked, "How did you get up here? How did you know where I live? Where have you been?" *So much for composure* Cordelia thought to herself.
"Up the drain pipe, I asked around, and around. Any other questions? Are you going to invite me in, Luv?" Spike asked with a big smirk on his face at her shocked expression.
"Oh... yeah, come in. It's just that I haven't seen you in weeks and I..." her explanation was cut off by Spike's lips. He pulled her to him as if every moment separating them was going to be well worth it.
Cordelia practically melted into his body. Her arms went slack for a moment, hanging at her sides as his tongue explored her mouth. All thought had fled her mind at the touch of his lips to hers and she was having a hard time accessing any part of her brain that wasn't already focused on the kiss.
*knock knock*
Pulling herself from the kiss that had nearly been more. "Who the hell could that be?" She spat irritably. She looked into Spike's lust filled eyes and knew that a similar expression would be on her face as soon as she got rid of whoever stood on the other side of her bedroom door. "I'll be just a minute. I need to get rid of whoever's at the door. Could you maybe.... hide?"
"Don't fancy on introducing me to Mom and Pop?" Spike said with a grin.
"Seeing as how I don't even know your last name and yet I seem to have no problem swapping saliva with you... I don't think it would be a good idea."
Spike grinned and pulled her back to his body, his lips purposely avoiding hers, instead his tongue trailed along the skin of her jaw and closed with a kiss on the edge of her neck.
Cordelia let out a groan and lifted his face to touch their lips again. Her tongue was the one doing the exploring this time.
*knock KNOCK*
This person had better be telling her that the world is coming to an end. Spike abruptly let go of her and sauntered over to her walk in closet.
"Make it quick, Cordelia, or else I just may turn into a pumpkin." He teased.
Cordelia melted at the smile he threw her way as he was closing the door. She opened the door to find her mother on the other side.
"What took you so long, Cordelia!" Her mom yelled.
"I was working out mother, I didn't hear you the first time." She explained.
"So that's why your hair looks like you haven't brushed it in a week?" Her mom spat.
"Why don't you just save us both time, Mom. Tell me what you want." Cordelia said, her anger beginning to rise.
"Don't you talk to me like that, young lady. I'm your mother."
"I'm aware of that, and what is it you want, Mother." Cordelia asked.
"Your father and I are going on an emergency trip to see your Uncle Vance and we have to leave right now."
"What's wrong with him?" She asked, genuinely concerned.
"Apparently he was working in the shop and something fell on him. I'm not really sure of what. He's fine, but your father insists on making sure for himself. We'll be leaving in a few minutes for the airport and I wanted to let you know where we'll be if you need us. " Her mother handed her a piece of paper with their flight numbers, hotel numbers, and other information including her Uncle's phone number. Her mom walked away from Cordelia's door with out a second glance and started towards her wing of the house.
"Okay... let me know if anything happens with Uncle Vance." Cordelia called out to her mother's back. "And say hello to Aunt Kathleen for me." She said as she closed the door, locking it behind her.
